Today I'm taking Thailand's best travel vlogger @PaddyDoyle. for some premium sushi and Wagyu Beef Shabu in Bangkok's Japanese neighbourhood, the upmarket Thonglor.
We started in Maguro Japanese Restaurant & Bar for the sushi and it was absolutely incredible. Definitely the best Sashimi I've had in Bangkok.
We then headed to Hitori for some Grade A Wagyu beef Shabu and Sukiyaki.
I loved the shabu and the beef was amazing but everything else was a little to sweet for me personally.

The best thing about Thailand, the variety and the quality of food. You can find many or may be close to any cuisine around the world here.
Tempura Soy is called Mentsuyu, sake, mirin, soy sauce, kombu, and dried bonito flakes, with Finely grated daikon radish.
Patagonian tooth fish is Chilean sea bass rebadged. It's the fish fisheries rejected until they found it was plentiful and decided to market it.

I am a HUGE Japanese food fan. Snuck into my own favorite Japanese spot just yesterday, as a matter of fact. Putting all these on my Bangkok Bucket List. And nothing better than a Paddy and Gary Duo!
I wish you brought this video out 6 months ago as we stayed opposite these 2 restaurants. We wanted to go out for a high end Japanese restaurant but ran out of time, hopefully next time we can make it back here.
I remember the first time I had Sushi in Japan, just wandering around Shinjuku and finding a place under the rail line. It was so amazing. Then, on another trip, my son and I found the most amazing Japanese BBQ at Diver City...

Nowadays there are so many Thai owned Japanese inspired restaurants in Bangkok like these. For exanple they call oil full flitters tempura. and they put strange bits on sushi.
Anyway you’d better visit authentic Japanese restaurants. there are real Japanese chef cook authentic technic.

I used to eat sushi all the time. What I didn’t know was that it was a ticking time bomb , from all the worms in most wild fish. I ended up with years of problems with my cognition until they discovered a live worm in my brain!

That's like heaven, but just a little too upscale for me (it would have to be a super special celebration for me to go for this). I get it, but give me the street food stalls and tiny local restaurants for any sort of food. That's just me.
