- Here is a quick overview of my Durango RT. All the mods Ive done, as well as the ones on the way. Also a breakdown of my times with all the modifications equipped.
List of mods:
AFE Momentum GT air intake.
BBK 85 mm Throttle body
American racing 1 3/4 Long Tube Headers with catted mids
Jones x-pipe
Gibson axleback exhaust

Great set up. Im a old gear head rocking 50 now. 2017 R/T awd. Totally impressed you did you own headers, but more than that you respect your neighbors. Im following your progress.

Everything you said was great, I think I'll check out that cold air intake, but I got to say the placement of the badging on side not being alined bothers me. I would try to line it up better.

I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and i should have subscribed earlier, I have a 19 RT durango and i just got a custom exhaust installed, next mod i’m lookin to get is the legmaker cai and then after that a tune. After a lot of research i’m definitely going with the diablo but i’m not sure if i want to spend the extra money for the trinity or if i should just stick with the intune i3. Do you think the T2 is worth the upgrade?
Thanks a lot for the support man real talk. And honestly since wouldn't know if it would make a difference. The only good thing about the t2 is that you can monitor all of your parameters. I dont think the i3 can do that

I have no idea. I havent done anything to my suspension as of yet but ik what you mean.

Hey brother great truck! 🔥💪🏾🔥💪🏾 I have a ‘18 5.7L R/T Durango also. You said that if anything the “Resonator delete would be a better move”.... If so, this would be my first mod. I’m trying to
play it smart. So the best thing to do first would be deleting the resonators; essentially adding the intake all together would be required to get the proper airflow, correct? 🤷🏽♂️ etc etc
Thanks man I appreciate it. And the resonator delete is definitely better for sound, not really sure about air flow. The mid muffler delete is probably better for that. Won't make any noticeable difference though

I really appreciate the support and I thank you. I don’t mind helping you at all. I will let you know that it will be hard to match the sound I have do to your engine size. A V6 can never really get the sound of a V8.

Will riding it through a car wash take off some of the tire letters? I fully transformed the look of my Durango. I haven't done the letters yet. Worried about losing them at the wash

I have the same mods on the same truck lol hopefully going to do a stroker kit and intake manifold that’s like 5-6 grand or maybe just do the supercharger but thats like 9k
Good stuff man lol. I know nothing about stroker kits but the intake manifold for me is a must. Whipple is is down the line.
With the headers if u went bigger then it would hurt your low end torque which you definitely need with an suv it would probably be fine top end tho

Those are factory Bridgestone tires but I got the tire letters off Amazon.

I have a ram 1500 with the hemi and a 8 speed transmission and have been thinking about getting a tuner as I am in the process of getting similar mods done to my truck. What led you towards the Diablo tuner rather than the other tuners.
My question stems from the issues I've heard with having a 8 speed transmission and tuners. Also apprecaite the videos they are awesome! Enjoy seeing the progress that you've made and makes me want to do the same. Can't wait to see what you do next!
I didnt know much about tuners when I got into it. People recommended either hp or diablo because I was trying to go through Jay Greene and thats what he works well with. I've had a problem or two with my tune but they were easy fixes and I've been rolling every since. And thank you very much for the support man I greatly appreciate it 💪🏾💯

Thanks for the reply and Well it sounds like ill have to get in touch with them and see what they say. I've been playing with the idea of superchips with their flashpaq series that was made for the 8 speed transmission in my year model.

Have you looked into the tazers? Those are what a lot of hemi owners go to and it'll give you performance settings and srt pages.

And instead of going actual exhaust, you should've just done muffler and res delete. Exhaust systems still have restrictions. If they didn't track cars would use them instead of being straight piped. Exhaust systems are a waste of money

I got my pcm with my Diablo tune off of autoanything.com I think. In my case swapping pcms back wouldn’t work because the dealer keeps track of my vehicle; miles, tire pressure, error codes, etc… They know I’ve made modifications and I’m sure it voided my warranty.

@@recklessflee well are you buying it from a dodge dealer or a used car lot? My vehicle is registered through the dealership so they have records of all my maintenance . You might not have anything to worry about.

Also another thing if you're only at 375 lbs of torque it's probably because you went cheap with your headers and the vehicle isn't breathing good still. They come stock with 390lbs of torque and 360 hp. You did something very wrong and as I stated that exhaust system still isn't allowing it to breath well. I have the same one did all your modes muffler delete and my torque is at 435

if you want to really improve your 0-60 go with a hellcat torque converter and to stay oem a hellcat cam i bet you want be disappointed
I know very little about cams but would I need the lifters and springs with the cam? I've been thinking about a 392 cam for a bit more power but I can't find good results on that swap
@@agametheofficial37 Honestly everyone i speak to who has done the 392 swap we’re pretty disappointed. Yes the cam is a cheap option but the install cost will be the same as any other cam. In my opinion if you daily driving the car i would go with a custom grind cam, comp 270 cam or the comp HRT stage 2 cam kit, the HRT kit i believe comes with everything you need for the install.
And also to answer your question about what is needed for the install, usually with these hemis you should get aftermarket lifters, most people do the mds delete and they also put heavier valve springs to accommodate the bigger cam.

@@agametheofficial37 yea, i would say with the cost of the cam and everything installed you shouldn’t spend any more than 3k, the install will always be the most not cause it’s hard it’s just very tedious and time consuming and like you said you would rather have it done right the first time. It’s not cheap to begin with but a cam will definitely wake the car up a ton! Especially since you have a lot of the supporting mods like the headers and intake, if you get the manifold you will really have some huge gains with the cam!
Yea. Im also worried about the intake manifold. Heard the sniper doesn't come with good seals. Gotta find a good brand.
