It’s actually remarkable to see how far Josh Allen has come since his rookie season, truly one of the finest examples of how to develop talent at the NFL level. Salute to him and his coaching staff.
Every party involved with Josh Allen deserves so much credit. Coaches for the obvious reasons of taking a raw prospect with such a crazy skill set and sitting down and creating the perfect offense for him, the gm for giving the correct players for him, and Josh himself for putting in work and buying into what his coaches were telling him and trying to show him to improve
He'll do better now that daboll's gone. Overrated OC coming from a Bills fan
@@stache465 agreed coming from a bills fan, hopefully we hire ken Dorsey
Salute to Brian Daboll, let’s hope for the state of NY Football outside of Buffalo that he’s able to reproduce the same magic he’s had with Josh Allen AS WELL AS the same sort of run game he’s produced most years as an OC (all but two of his seasons as an NFL OC saw his team finish top 11 in rushing yards)
Imagine telling someone 2 years ago that Josh Allen will be better than Lamar Jackson .
That Rosen quote is brutal. These “pro ready” qbs without the special traits don’t seem to work out.
It mostly depends on the situation. Mac jones was "pro ready" coming out of college and has been preety damn good as a rookie
@@ashydashii2163 That's a good point. I would be interested to go back and look at the most pro ready qb each draft and see how they turned out. Every year atleast one qb gets that claim placed on them.
It honestly depends where they start. If you are a 1st round pick you are often on a bad team with shitty coaches and you start to develop bad habbits that stick. You only get a few chances or the pull you

Your bills will be here too eventually im sure of it.
Allen and Jackson were seen as two unpolished QBs in that year's draft, now they have been looked at as ahead of that draft class. Lamar has an MVP and Josh Allen is a straight up beast damn near making back to back AFC Championship appearances. Both QBs have led their franchises back to relevance
Difference is that Ravens were never really irrelevant. They won the Super Bowl in 2012 and were in the playoffs a few times the following years.

Bills gave the game away and as a pats fan I was rooting for the bills.
Bills defense didn’t wrap when they tackled, and the Chiefs were getting extra yards and touchdowns because of that. That didn’t look like a #1 defense overall to me, which is why I hate it when commentators use regular season stats for playoff predictions.
Now y’all offense was excellent, although they could’ve had some longer drives to give the defense rest, but that’s me being a nit picker.
I find myself wishing the Browns drafted Allen, but the more I think about it, Allen wouldn't have been successful in Cleveland. He needed to be in Buffalo, and Buffalo needed him.
I don’t think any QB would’ve succeeded immediately under the Browns situation. The biggest mistake was keeping Hue Jackson and then hiring a first time head coach. The latter half of 2020 proved this team is capable of being successful.
Allen would of been a bust if he went to the browns. Things in Buffalo were very stable for Allen and they had all the right tools to make a franchise QB.

It’s no coincidence that Lamar and Josh are the top 2. They both ended up in the most stable organizations, even though they were both considered the riskiest of the 5 picks. The lesson here is, build a real team, get good coaching and that gives your young quarterback a chance to succeed.
Buffalo was anything but stable before Allen got there. That's just what it looks like 4 years removed... They went 18 years with no playoffs, coaching & QB carousel, lucked into a WC after the Bengals beat the Ravens on a last second play, then lost to the Jags 10-3.
At that point, all Bills fans knew was we passed on Patrick Mahomes & DeShaun Watson hoping for a good 2018 pick. It was only Sean McDermott's 2nd year, rookie QB, and only Nathan Peterman backing him up. Yeah, THAT Nathan Peterman... So Josh's own work ethic & coaching stability helped him develop.

Darnold's grandfather needs to be mentioned more often. Coolest name I've heard since The Big Unit.
Dick Hammer lol
Good video. Would like to see more of these “Draft Class xxxx where are they now”
I’ve never figured out why but that outro song always gets me pumped
As a cardinals fan I was a bit mixed when we drafted Murray. While I was super excited about Murray, I thought Rosen had some bright spots (very few but our offense overall was awful) in his rookie year that we could develop. I’m very happy with the decision now
Getting Murray was definitely the best move, but Rosen did have bright spots and was dropped into a horrible situation
He's so small... the only worry I would have is how long he will last in this league.
Honestly should've drafted offensive line or drafted a replacement for Larry Fitzgerald at the time. But happy it worked out in the end.
Love ur videos man. Here’s a suggestion. How about u do a video about coaches like 2012 ten years later.
WELL DONE MY GUY! GREAT VID
"questions...have been a non-stop discussion." great analysis
Good for Buffalo showed they knew who the best talent was in the draft. Excellent scouting and development by them.
LETS GOO ANOTHER KTO UPLOAD!!!
I was behind Allen 100% from day 1. I thought he was going to be the best of the class prior to the draft however I didn’t think Cleveland should’ve drafted him, the coaching he’s received in Buffalo has turned him into the player he is today and I think the lack of training in Cleveland has negatively affected Baker.
I agree I wonder what would've happened if Baker went to Buffalo. It's crazy that we still don't really know what to make of him.
Solid first impression on your channel, this video was sick
HOLY SHIT TIME WENT BY FAST!
I was just in my Junior Year of High School.
I'm 21 now and I'm basically Josh Rosen's NFL career in terms of my life in college right now.
These are always tough to judge because so many of these quarterbacks go to dysfunctional organizations with no realistic shot at success. They’re usually getting drafted by terrible teams with new coaching staffs. How do Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen turn out if they were drafted by Buffalo or Baltimore, or Josh Allen to the Jets or Cardinals? Time will tell if a guy like Trevor Lawrence can be successful after starting his career with an organization like the Jaguars.
Also, did you ever think the Browns would win even 29 games in four years? Baker Mayfield may not be the superstar Josh Allen turned out to be, but quarterback play is not what they should be looking to upgrade.
Very intelligent approach... The thoughts of guys on diffrent teams give perspective
Totally agree! Couldn’t have said it better, good work
Feels a little odd not to mention Baker’s numerous injuries this season. Definitely possible he could not be that good, but it’s just as possible he was too hurt to play as good as last year.
He is not that good, that is not really up for much debate. His injuries probably made him look worse, but when you are the number 1 overall pick and not a top 2 QB in your class you are not that good.
He’s a bum
He wasn't hurt in 2019 and he stunk the joint up. He's just not the guy. He looked good till he got the league. But once you get there it's a whole different ball game. He just don't have ut
Josh Allen got thrown under the bus by sports talk hosts early in his career. The dude looked like a 7 foot 300 pound beast as he ran through the Pats defense in the playoffs.
When Josh Allen looks like the next great QB of the NFL and that’s coming from a Pats fan. Love the kid and the way he plays the game, he’s so much fun to watch.
As a Pats fan, I agree-but the Bills gotta rely on his legs less, or they’re going to ruin him early
And given the history of that franchise…I’m worried for his future
@@warlordofbritannia if they get him a halfway decent running back, they will be set. Singletary is not the answer
@@ZJC922
I wouldn’t mind that-it’d be nice to see the Pats and Bills dueling for the East over the next decade, wouldn’t it?
@@warlordofbritannia Hell yeah! I’m excited to finally see some competition in the division! Hoping Mac develops so we can be fighting right along side the bills for years to come
2017 and 2018 had qb prospects that will shape the next generation of QBs in Mahomes and Allen. It's gonna be fun to the progression of the league for years to come.
I cant believe it's been 4 years already. What a class it was
I love the revisionist history of this draft, people talk about Allen now like he was a sure thing in 2018. I remember reports that Allen couldn't hit the broad side of a barn but now everyone talks like Allen was all that coming out of the draft.
same dude. gotta love the media being tards like that
There was also talk about racist tweets or something. Whether true or not, they really painted him up to be this big white oaf.
same thing happened with herbert
I remember thinking he was either going to be Rex Grossman or Steve Young, with little chance for being just mediocre; with such a raw, awesome talent like that, the sky’s the limit yet nearly impossible to reach
So far, he’s actually better Steve Young
@@warlordofbritannia that what I thought when I seen those side arm throws from Allen, very Young-esque
Look at the Ravens and the Bills and how they're run as a franchise. Then look at the Browns (then led by Hugh Jackson...) and the Jets.
Good coaching staff really makes good players great, and bad coaching makes them digress.
Exactly right
Now this is gonna be a banger
I enjoyed this. Thanks
Great video as always and I’d definitely agree with your final order of the QBs. Only thing I’ll say is that you should’ve mentioned that Baker Mayfield was dealing with a significant shoulder injury for almost all of 2021.
He still made poor decisions and wasn’t great but this injury messed up his mechanics also which affected his play. This upcoming year will be make it or break time for Baker Mayfield.
Yeah I feel like people keep forgetting that
Baker has shown that he can be a decent to good starting qb when he is healthy, I just hope the 2021 season hasn't done long term damage to his mechanics or mental because it is indeed a make or break season for Baker in 2022
But why have your starting QB continue to play with a lingering injury? Doesn't that make it take longer to heal? She should have thrown in Case Keenum for the majority of the season, who isnt a terrible backup.
@@AnimeFlyz
The browns coaching staff is clueless and said a 50% Baker was better than a 100% Keenum. From what I watched this season, Keenum was better than an 80% Baker.
@@fishingandfootball1554 Keenum was healthier but way more conservative and had a weaker arm and was missing reads everywhere
Why the slander on Lamar? He’s 23-6 when he’s started a whole season…
And doesn't help when your oc is being out command scheme almost every game
Playoffs is what matters, Lamar can’t get it done.
Doesn't Lamar have one less win the allen? 1 of his loss is against allen were if not for an excellent play by a corner and tucker not going 1/3 would be in position to win said game in Buffalo. So... sure but Lamar gets hate form were ever for what ever even tho again and again he proves that the hate isn't true
@@a1credita148 Bullshit. I've seen so many people put Herbert (who looks like he'll be great for a long time) ahead of Lamar when he hasn't even made the playoffs yet.
@@samortmann5003 so you are seriously saying you would rather have Lamar than Herbert?
This was a very interesting video, it would be fun to see the best corner back picks from the 2018 draft and compare them to now...
All in for a Josh Allen Super Bowl soon. Kid can make it.
