Minshew’s rookie year is probably the most I’ve been entertained watching a 6-10 team.
well, they were 6-6 with him.
probably 8-8 or 9-7 if he was their sixteen game starting QB.
I still got Minshew Jersey and overall. The guy still plays well qnd is still one of Mt fave QB

Yes. A no-nonsense coach like Mike Tomlin was definitely what he needed, and he was on the right track to success. Sad.
While he was bettering himself, he should have also been better learning to look both ways when crossing the street.

Kinda crazy seeing the 2020 qb draft class after this, with 4 of them being some of the best QBs in the league currently.
The 2019 and 2020 QB classes are night and day
2020 i think is slightly better..Burrow took his to the superbowl Jalen Hurt did it last year with the Eagles and now its Tua time
2020 best QB class since 2012 which had Luck, RGIII, Tannehill, Russell Wilson, and Kirk Cousins as well as Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. 2020 is still young and may eventually prove better, but looking back at that 2012 list of names reminds you that player's fortunes in the NFL can change quickly.
2024 quarterback class is gonna be so stacked it’s unfair.

RIP Dwayne Haskins l. When i watched him at Ohio State, he was my favorite qb at Ohio State. As bad as the defense was Haskins had an amazing season in 2018.

Appreciate you for respecting Haskins. Ik his time in Washington didn't last too long but he was extremely talented. I really hoped he would be the guy in Pittsburgh after Big Ben retired. RIP Dwayne Haskins.
He definitely had some talent there. Sounds like he wasn’t in the best situation to succeed.
He had a huge arm. Would’ve loved to see him ball out in the NFL. If he stayed in school for 1 more year… maybe things would’ve been completely different.

Kyler Murray would be a super-bowl contender on the Jets. Gardner is a great QB but not on the same level.

That Daniel Jones is actually one of the worst things to happen to the giants. Jones is a qb that doesn't suck to bad, but he also not good enough to have a deep playoff run. The giants are stuck in the middle and it's going hurt them for next 3+ years

I feel bad for Daniel Jones as a giants fan. Because he is such a great guy and he deserves to succeed but hasn’t really had the opportunity. His first three years we screwed up his development. Then last year we see what he could become just to have it seemingly thrown away this year. It seems as if he’s regressed such as trying to force throws to make a play like he did his first three seasons. I got hope for the young receivers which if they pan out will help him but our o-line is absolute garbage to the point where it’s almost impossible to overcome. Anyways great vid KTO!

Man Murray was out almost the whole 2023 season but he came back with 6 games to do. A lot of ppl said why but with them sitting so high and the 2024 QB Class is nice, he felt, like many, gotta show them something and boy did he! He’s looked good as new and went into Philly and possibly dropped them from getting a 1 seed to all the way to 5th! Might’ve just ruined their Super Bowl run! Keep him!! He’s a beast!!

I just appreciate any mention of Dwayne Haskins, I truly believe he wasn’t in the right situation to succeed in the pros. I can only dream and imagine what his career would’ve been had he became more disciplined and been able to focus in Pittsburg just Tom get his opportunity. Thank you KTO

Okay drew lock would be a above average starter if the broncos did what the bills did for josh allen. That is giving him time, trading for a top 15 wide receiver, getting a solid offensive line in front of him, and getting him some good coaches. The broncos ruined him
I agree with this. Lock needed work for sure but I always saw a lot of potential in him. However, as you said, the Broncos didn’t surround him with enough talent and, in a desperate, ill-fated attempt to win right away, traded him to Seattle for Russell Wilson. Wilson is having a pretty good year and is not at fault for the Broncos current struggles but still, they gave up on Lock without ever really giving him what he needed to succeed.

nice to see you do a post on this draft class and it's definitely a draft class that is still quite recent, but definitely seeing that Daniel Jones is definitely not what the giants is building for the future which is quite unfortunate for us, it's just really unbelievable

Even half the Vikings fans themselves were saying they were one and done. The way they won last year was incredibly entertaining but saying it was unsustainable is being generous.

He was 0-2 for an Eagles team last year that has only lost two regular season games otherwise the last two years.

Jarrett Stidham seems to be a good backup. Played well last season with the Raiders. Now behind Russ in Denver so we’ll see how he does if he ever has to go in.

He's not the real deal. A running primary first qb with ACL. Plus he misses games to shoulder issues. Sorry bud but his frame is to small for his lack of pure arm. He has to put more body in his throws bc his size. Screw the ACL it's his shoulder that has held him back.

As a Giants fan to answer the question. I do believe we’re going to draft a QB. With the way our seasons going we’re on our way to at least a top 5 pick and there’s way too many talented qb talents to pass up on for us. It’ll sadden me bc he’s not terrible but he’s not a franchise qb.

I was driving down the interstate when Haskins died. I passed the incident and saw him on the road with the EMTs. Obviously didnt know it was him until I read about it but still.

To me; Murray is a person who he doesn’t have much feelings for other people. Idk if selfish is the right word. But he never thinks they lost cause of him and he never admits blame. Then you had his whole film room stuff. Just something off.

Having a good backup QB matters so much in the NFL. Think this year with all the injuries has really shown that more than anything. Minshew is gonna have a very long NFL career as a spot starter, and that's one of the best jobs you can have lol.

The Jags werent really tanking that season though. They had just signed Foles to a big deal only for him to get injured in the 1st game and never regain his starting spot due to Minshews play
If Kyler Murray played for the niners the media would say he’s a phenom. If Patrick mahomes played for the Cardinals nobody would compare him to Brady. That’s how crazy these analysts are about labeling these players.

Good review, though one error.. The Jags weren't expected to tank in 2019; they gave a huge guaranteed contract to QB Nick Foles hoping he could ignite that offense that got them so close to the Super Bowl in 2017. He quickly got injured and looked bad and after the team traded CB Jalen Ramsey, expectations got lowered.
Thankfully Minshew was good enough to make Jags excited before Trevor Lawrence got drafted
