    You put more spot welds and in between from the original spot weld, when putting in new panel?

    • @AUTOBODYTECH
      @AUTOBODYTECH  Před 11 měsíci +2

      No, The same amount of spot welds. I try to put them back as close to where the original was as possible

    do you coat the bare metal with weld thru primer... seems to me there should be something to protect the metal you exposed???

    • @AUTOBODYTECH
      @AUTOBODYTECH  Před 6 měsíci +2

      yes, weld through primer is meant for the flanges where the 2 panels mate

    Do you remove the ECM ( disconnect electronics) before you weld the car

    • @AUTOBODYTECH
      @AUTOBODYTECH  Před 2 měsíci

      It's best practice, yes, although I do forget from time to time.(disconnect battery)

      @jerryhuff86 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Uh, just the battery? Or, both the ECM and the battery?

    • @AUTOBODYTECH

    I don’t wanna be that guy but welding a few plates to that roof lip and a slide hammer might of got ya 15 hours to fix that. But either way your sectioning technique is top notch.

  • @NagesNarges-yn3zn
    @NagesNarges-yn3zn Před měsícem +1

    You don’t put the door to adjust it in place with the panel?

    • @AUTOBODYTECH
      @AUTOBODYTECH  Před měsícem

      It's always good practice. For this instance, I did not because it was sush a small section. I was confident that it would fit
