I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY MADE SOMETHING WITH A WHALE, AGH, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I AM SO HYPED
Rumer Priestly
It wasn't made WITH a whale.
No whales were harmed in the making of this model.
Fair, with probably wasn't the best preposition I could have used there.
iAlba ...huh?
iAlba I really, really hope you were trying to make a joke...
iAlba ...okay, so what is Devin making in this video? What is this entire video about? What's the theme, what has he spent all that time crafting?
Confused, what temprature where you printing at?
Honey FPV Room temperature
um it is not a print

Looks something my dad would have made. :P he loved paper mache when he was a art teacher
*AN* are teacher you uneducated swine
Xxzz Robot an ART teacher, you uneducated swine
*AUTOCORRECT* You uncultured swine
Where are all the other comment?! :( And XxzzRboto gfy. I had better things to do than grammar before my dad fricking died!
Mykasan Ahhh, I love when people pull the pity card
Wow I never though I'd be into making models, but you guys make it look so easy that I might try it out sometime!
This turned out freaking CRAZY cool, better than anything I could have expected, and now I want one of these so damn bad, oh man. I new bugging you to make a whale in the comments of a bunch of videos would pay off c; hahaha. I can't get over how amazing this turned out!
agreed
I made a bird with paper mache once
Make a whale with CZcams comments.
U could make your own
Rumer Priestly i
That is honestly the best wire work I have ever seen, it looks like a sculpture in itself
Is she really short or is he really tall?
I actually want to know
I think it's a bit of both.
She's really short. He's only like 5'6" I think.
fundip_ wuzhere bruh I'm 15 and I'm over 5'6 he can't be. He has to be at least 170cm
Nerd With an Opinion He doesn't have to be, I'm also 15 and I'm 5'9". My uncle, however, is 39 and 5'4"
fundip_ wuzhere he just really does not seem that short
This turned out beautifully! So relaxing to watch you both making this. I would absolutely love to see more.
I have used this "paper mache clay".... It works well, BUT two warnings: 1) It hardens into something much like concrete, which can't be easily sanded. In fact, I had to use a grinder to smooth my model. 2) It's quite a bit heavier than regular papier mache... so you can expect that it will add significant weight.
Pretty cool! *here’s a tip, you can pick up a BIG spool of thicker gage wire in the automotive section. (Or a automotive part store - they use it for welding and soddering joints) Different types (what it’s made of) and gauges (thickness).
That’s an awesome sculpture! I’m doing an 8’ long rocket ship with cardboard and reclaimed wood for the inner shape to support the chicken wire for the outer skin over all that. I came here to find the easiest papier-mâché to use to coat the chicken wire. I’m glad you used that paper-mâché artist for the recipe - she’s awesome but I’ve never tried her way. You’ve made it look so easy, so that’s what I’m going to do. Thanks!
I feel like this became a cooking show.....😂😂😂
next week ;P
wallpaper paste works for paper mache really well too!
Wow! Good work! It turned out AWESOME
I feel honored by this video ;)
You should be insulted bc he said he did not want a cartoon whale.
Oof
Stop
Instructions unclear, 3D printer covered in glue.
;-)
Creative Oscar for you two! LOVE IT!
Awesome build! I got to your channel pretty early in the 3d printing stage and enjoyed your other projects Glad to see you'll be making more general projects!
Great collaboration!
The blue looked so good though!
I love ultimate paper mache. Joni is a great teacher. I like your whale. I am working on a scaled down Japanese Nebuta float. I used a wire frame like you did but just one layer of printing paper because a light goes inside. I am glad that you had help with your project because it is big. Good job on the video.
Fantastic art and process. Can’t wait to sneak a peek of it in the backgrounds of other future videos.
I love this model! We had to do a project in school where we picked an animal from our class's ecosystem and then research it. I picked the humpback whale. We were also required to make a model of the animal. I was running out of ideas on how to make it, and this video was an absolute lifesaver! It was really fun making the model. Thank you so much for this video.
From Kodiak, Alaska: We loved this! Thank you!
Yay! Something that doesn’t use PVC ! It turned out so cool
You're an amazing artist
Wow,just.....wow this whale turned out awesome 👌 I would love to see more things you guys can make
This is amazing. More of these please!
I love your channel devin
I love this! Hope you make more videos like this
Try to print with fishing line because it comes in colors and different widths and strengths
Oh hi Devin great job on the paper mache
This was GREAT I love how your videos are always so creative and new
Shouldve made the whale from your springo video😏
Haha lol :p
i like it
Yes lol
HAHAHAH
His assistant would of loved that lmaooo
It’s super cool!
AWESOME!!! 🤸♀️ It is a beautiful whale and you 2 made it look fun and easy!
Thank you 🌻🌻
Thank you devan for showing the Cr-10 3d printer so I could make sure it was perfect for me!!!
Good job!
Nice! It was fun to watch btw
My goodness thanks deven
I was planning to make whale for Diwali (festival of lights)
When I saw "giant paper-mache whale" I assumed it was going to be close to life-size. This is a much more managably-sized whale.
by giant he means other paper mache whales are very small but his is bigger
Devin, you need to learn how to weave a "moly hogan" in your braided cable. It takes unbraiding the cable, forming a loop through the hole with each end & braiding it back together.
Just looked it up.. very cool! thanks :)
That wire frame could also be the basis of a pretty great (non-flying) paper lantern. A lot of lantern makers make their frames out of wire and then stretch glued translucent paper or fabric over it :)
so lovely!!
started missing you boi
Devin, here is a paper mache tip. Tear all edges of newspaper off, so the paper mache paste can grab onto the “thread-like” components in the newspaper.
This is really cool!!!!!!!
You should really make more vids ike this bro
Wow beautiful
I can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers!!
It is AMAZING!
That was great!
its nice ,would you mind sharing the estimated costs for the materials and the finished whale costs?????
Très ingénieux...félicitations
I thought the internal structure was gonna be 3d printed, but it came out amazing either way :)
Buddy. You have solved my space whale problem for my scifi web series. Thank you.
It reminds me of the whale on display at " House on the Rock" except their is so much bigger and meaner. Good job on the build
What a fabulous job. I was mesmerized the entire video. Great job and good instruction. I could never make the wire body, but I think I could make a paper and cardboard armature and cover it with paper mache. If I ever do it, I'll send you a photo. Continued success. Love PegEgg
Isn't that his lovely assistant from the springos video
Good Job! Whale Done!
I’m actually adding this to watch later because it’s pretty useful
Excellent video and art! What reference did you use to establish the shape and dimensions of the wire frame?
Finally updated
I actually like the things that aren’t 3d printing or all 3d printing alot
Sometimes somthing else than 3d printing is also fun
Oh my! What a beautiful woman! Lucky guy. Nice video. Love it.
I used to do paper mache with my grandad and we used play doh to sculpt the thing we were doing, then added the glue and newspaper, then we painted it :)
I had a whale of a good time watching this video😊
cool design, i wanna try make one
Large but light cool may just make it and yeah course it was fun to watch
Is it possible to substitute flour with talc or baby powder?
You can just use flour and water for the mache juice. But it was are ally cool!
So good
Amazing wire structure. Beautiful whale. 👵👍👍
Nice Piñata! But where's the candy?
its not a pinata stop
@@cozbad5705
It's a joke bruh...
k don't need to say it 3 times then delete the other 2
Nice!!!
Can you please make a review on the Ender 2 3dprinter if it's possible??
Nice film
You should make more paper mache videos
Devin (on the phone): hey, wanna come pull an all mightier and build a giant whale?
Friend: sure!
I want friends like devin’s, heck, I just want some friends
Twenty Øne Cøcønut Sharks At Tacø Bell Same
That's his sister
@@aleb9871 she's his girlfriend
Cool!
That’s amazing
I use old wire hangers for armatures that need more structure.
Tutorial on how u made the shape ?
Integrate 3d printing and paper mache?
Lol the big roll of painter's tape is the one witch came with the cr-10
I feel like its a lot less messy if you just use wallpaper paste instead of glue/mod podge
@Devin, have you ever considered doing a 3D printing pen pinata?
I havent! It would probably smash right away, but it would make a cool decoration :)
Do some spooky stuff! Please! :)
how long did it take you to make this
Captain Blackhole he said it took him approx 5-10 hours. 😊
reminds me of the mr funk turorial!
you should get a cricut since as you said you're channel is not just about 3d printing
Fantastic
Can you please make a review of the Aio Robotics 3d Printing Pen on Amazon?
Is Natalie actually mute or just shy?
Nice whale BTW!
My boi smashing
It's so cute.
You should try out the morph 3d pen I want to get one but I'm not sure if I should
you should do a review on the 3d printer we have, its called the MOD T from New Matter its really good and makes a lot of models with perfection.
I have a Mod T.. and actually worked for New Matter haha.. Never got it to print well though
“Cool”. 🤔 please can you make some Ken Doll sized speakers/studio gear?
