i was 5 years old in 1977 and this tune (and donna summers i feel love) sounded so futuristic, and even now it sends a warm glow down my back to hear it again. Giorgios music along with Mr Jarre's music, made me have a 50 year love affair with electronic music.
Like me, Moroder, Jarre, Kraftwerk, Yello, The Art of Noise, up to Massive Attack, Underworld, FSOL, Pascal f.e.o.s., Terry Lee Brown Jr, The Timewriter, ..... . Electronic music wrote the soundtrack to my life.
I was 12 in 1977. This album, and this track in particular changed my entire view on music. I realized I was witnessing the death and rebirth of music at the same time, from there to eternity.

I started listening "seriously" to G. Moroder's discography some months ago.... as it came to this track, I suddenly realized I had heard it just once in my life , about 1978/1979 .... it's incredible how this track got stuck hibernated in my mi mind for almost 40 years, just to pop up suddenly as soon as I listened to it for a second time , after such along time....

I'd also suggest that Italodisco was around before Hi-NRG - in my country at least, the Hi-NRG artists were produced by our existing "Gino disco" producers.

This has to be the first true trance record. I know many people consider age of love but this has so much of it. Nothing sounded like this in 1977. Also much respect to Patrick Cowley back then as well.

Recientemente tuve COVID, y una de las noches más complicadas en cuanto a malestar y calentura, se me ocurrió ver la película de CLIMAX, me quedé dormido como a la media hora y desperté justo al final.... eran las 2:00 AM el estrobo de luces rojas y esta canción hicieron que me despertara, recuerdo estar sudando y todo alterado. Por si fuera poco las siluetas de la película todo, uffff... que les digo? una experiencia muuuuuuy bizarra

I also just found this track a few weeks ago, I love it. I grew up in the 70's listening to Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis. If I'd know about Giorgio, I'd be listening to him too.
Me too. But Jarre and Vangelis are in a different class. Moroder is too simple and becomes repetitive. Not bad, but not at the level of J and V.

True work of genius. I was amazed how such uplifting and positive tune can be turned into the hellish and distrubing soudntrack of internal torment.
That last dance sequence is one of the most terrifying things I have seen in a while.
