Quick question. If i was to motion track an iPhone screen and I'm moving the phone around, how would I track it so the c4d view port orients like the phone movement I tracked so when I add a cube with balls inside it (collision tag etc..), follows the movement of the iPhone tracked scene and the balls are moving around in same rotation to tracked screen ? I hope that made sense..

Make sure the clip you are using isn't shaky the more stable it is the more real the tracking will come out.
To do that though just use after effects motion tracker. There is a way to then save that file after to be used in cinema 4d. Youd then have all the tracking points and all setup and all youd have to do in c4d is just design the 3d models and place them onto the tracking points. But there is a easier way.
Using c4d to motion track footage isn't the best... Well when I used it back in 2015 after effects worked way better for motion tracking. Idk if that has changed..
Just do it all in after effects itself without c4d. Ae has its own 3d modelling program inside it. Just doesn't have as good as a renderer as c4d for global illum or reflections etc.
But there is a way around that. You can also just get a plugin called element 3d for after effects. This plugins renderer is really good has global illum and ray tracing even.. I love it the quality of the 3d models you can make with it inside of ae are just as good as c4d.
And best part is after effects and element 3d are free. If ya know what I mean wink wink

Hi, nice tutorial. I was woundering if you could help me understand what it mean when a 3d solves only completes half of the footage and the only message I have in the bottom left is "Deffered Solve Finished"
Footage settings has the correct start and end frame.
frame rate settings match the footage.
I've tried tracking with tiff and jpeg image sequence.
I've tried using a full solve and the 2D tracking method.

    Regards.
