I am a retired 63 year old teacher and coach who taught social science classes for 38 years. I knew when I was 14 I would teach and coach. I took my education and training (I'm a UCLA grad) serious. I took my classes seriously, ESPECIALLY my Advanced Placement U.S. History and European History classes. The only thing outside of my wonderful family that comes close to those AP classes is coaching wrestling. I still coach for free and I will do so until I die.
Singlets should be mandatory. Loose shorts are simply ridiculous

Yeah, I can see how a hand could get trapped or blocked within the leg opening. Sorta like 3 feet of hair could be an obstacle.
Yeah I agree with you 100 percent but I feel like if they want to go like all out on designs and stuff for the team then shorts and shirts would be best since you could like combine things with it being a 2 piece
Stupid. Young men across the nation wrestle with shorts and shirt 99% of the time with no difficulties for year round practice, then only dawn the singlet for official matches. Just stupid to make em wear those in front of large crowds
@@quinndeluna8032 your missing the point. It's the nastalga factor. It's a tradition that shouldn't go away. In many other sports you see traditions that are not necessary, this is the same thing.

Nicky Rodriguez vs Pat Downey. Rodriguez is active and doing really well in brazilian jiu jitsu right now, Pat Downey is just pure wrestlin. not sure the weight but they're definitely 205+, probably closer to 220+.

Its a shame its such a privilege sport like so many others. For those that are fortunate to attend the best prep schools, attend the expensive camps, get elite one on one coaching, fees, out of state camps and tournaments.. soak it up and realize how bless you're.
Cash Rules if this isn’t so facts dude lmao I wrestle for a top private school in the country and we travel so much it’s ridiculous how blessed we are and how we take it for granted but I’ll be thankful it happened when it’s over such a great sport.

I read a stat that was mind blowing. There has not been a division 1 national champ, that wasnt ranked in the top10-25 coming out of high school in the last 25yrs or so... you have to be on the circuit...
