Makes sense, a lot easier then when it's in the three point position, assuming it's a tail dragger. The custom trailer I built for my Kitfox 1 (in 1988) used ramps, once the mains were on the ground but the tailwheel still on the trailer it was almost perfectly level, so that's when I'd fold the wings out, worked slick. Level water, ha ha!
I'm looking forward to get a Kitfox, I'd like to put it on floats have no idea what floats to use. I also have little to no experience with floats would you guys recommend it as a good beginners plane?
Any concern about elongating the holes in the forward spars where those attachment pins install? Or could you fold the wings every flight for the life of the airplane and never have issues?
I would love to know the width of the two floats installed - I want to make sure I can get my project out the workshop door! Looking at the video it doesn't look like they are much wider than the folded wings but I can't be sure...
Hi Ryan, outside float about 8'-3" . Center to center of floats 6'-2" , you could make them a little more or less as needed. I think max road width is 8'-6". All the best.
Well done!

The Kitfox is an easy plane to fly with or without floats. Either way you’ll need a good CFI……
@@korbike1 Thanks a lot!

Hi Bill
Good question, the spars are reinforced in that area. I haven’t heard of that being a problem. David
I'm assuming the wiggling you were doing was the fuel lines and wiring. Any concerns are pinching anything inadvertently?
Ron, yes checking to be sure the fuel lines are not pinched, ailerons are push tubes that need to be connected inside.

@@korbike1 ah great, that's less than I thought. Thanks!

Ok so now you have to figure out how to catch fish at 48 mph from the air
