Chris Markham Warren punches down. Her sexism smears against Sanders and frequent attacks of his base finally got my 71yr old mother to switch her support to Sanders. Warren plays the Clinton identity politics game with these ‘Yazz Queen!’ staged moments and her supporters apparently think they’re meaningful while ignoring her support of Trump’s increased military spending year over year, reauthorization of the patriot act, support of Trump’s new NAFTA bill (something even Chuck Schumer couldn’t support) among other issues and credibility gaps.
You’ll notice Warren only went after Bloomberg on behalf of women and not people of color. Her 4th/5th place finishes mean she has largely failed to capture the 15% needed of the vote to win delegates. She is expected to do even worse in SC. She has no coalition or mass appeal among ethnicities and age groups.
With the Superdelegates gearing up to deprive Sanders of the nomination if he does not pass the 51% threshold (reported in the NYT yesterday) a vote for Warren might as well be a vote for Trump. If Sanders is stripped of the nomination by superdelegates while winning the popular vote it will split the Democratic Party (if not destroy it), suppress voter turnout, and provide an easy path to victory for Trump who will remind and energize his base with how corrupt the democrats are that they cheated Sanders of the nomination.

Jay Zenitram idk, if it was a couple then yeah who cares, but every time someone talks about Bloomberg or Buttigieg they make short jokes. I mean what does a person’s physical appearance have to do with anything? They are presidential candidates, America needs to wake up and pay attention to what actually matters. It strikes me as pretty juvenile.
I get the criticism that this is political correctness gone too far etc etc. but actually shorter people are less likely to be ceos and hold positions of power, less likely to receive a tertiary education, on average earn less that average and above average height individuals. Height discrimination is real, I just think that is incredibly stupid, and when there are so many valid criticisms of Bloomberg, why would his height come up so frequently?

      M. D. True, but the term “Bernie Blackout” didn’t come around because of alliteration. “The news” would go as far as not putting his name on the polls he was on top of.
I think his socialist ideas are scaring people. Everyone’s so fucking caught up in what other people have and get, and what they should get and deserve.
I believe that there’s plenty to go around, we produce more food than is needed to feed the planet but yet so much of it is wasted because no one buys it.
People would rather let food go bad and not make money on it then give it to people who could eat it.
And yes there are caveats to that, where people, companies, and organizations have tried to get that would be wasted food into hungry mouths. But unfortunately people take advantage of that and bite the hand that’s literally trying to feed them.
And for a one payer healthcare system, want to know who loses out on that deal? Insurance companies. Companies that are supposed to make access to healthcare easier but are usually the BIGGEST hurdles to overcome when getting care.
Why do they exist? They’re basically gambling houses playing odds on people’s health for profit. If you don’t use it they win, if you use it too much they fucking raise your fees or just cut you. That’s assuming you don’t have an illness that requires treatment that isn’t covered in the first place.
Why not take all the insurance money we already pay put it towards a national healthcare coverage plan so anyone can go see any doctor anywhere.
FFS just let me pay my taxes and go see a doctor why does someone other than the medical staff make any money of me getting a fucking cold checked out.
