How can I get your audio book?
hi
Library was a real surprise for me!😱
Yes, I was surprised too
You can say it with the ending BRER-EE. Thay isn't wrong.
No need to :) This is a UK pronunciation, Americans say it the - for us - usual way :)
3:15 Native English speaker here from Canada. I pronounce the L in in almond. Everyone I know does as well.
The only one that rubs me the wrong way is "library". I've been taught the reri sound and even the dictionary says it like that 🤔 I am confused 🤷
Me too 🤔
Check Oxford Learner's Dictionaries. It's available online and it features the pronunciation that Lucy is talking about in this video.
@@dominikkowal1087 yes, but Cambridge says the other way
I'm also confused with the word "library".
Same
If only we had an English teacher like Lucy. Beauty with brains.
Library was a surprise for me 🤭 all these years I've been pronouncing it wrong 🤦♀️🤣 thanks Lucy ❤️
Loibreary
Igual yo
Wordreference has the following spelling: UK:/ˈlaɪbrəri/ ....
@@cbatty80 /ˈlaɪbrəri/ is US pronunciation, /ˈlaɪbri/ is for UK
When I used to go to ESL classes my teacher told me that lots of Americans don't know how to speak English very well, same thing is in Spanish,
Who'd thought I pronounced almond and library wrong all those years? Thank you Lucy for pointing these out! I also struggled with action, sword and sewing (I still tend to forget the last one).
LIBRARY - in american english its correct how you said . LIBRARY - LIE - BRAIR -EE
I'm wondering how you pronounce CASTLE 🏰🤣🤣🤣
I think a lot of us have been taught this the wrong way back in school! I’m norwegian, so I’m excused! Right🤪👍
A similat pitfall is colonel.
I used to pronounce it with three syllables when it turns out it's only two syllables long (something like kuh-nul)

Thank you for posting this How to Pronounce your English video Lucy I really appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi! It was a great and practical lesson. I can not believe that I have been mispronouncing the word ' library' since I started learning English.
In my mother tongue most of the people pronounce 'l' in ' salmon', but we don't have the same rule in English.
Thanks Lucy from Philippines👋
I love your short but informative sessions. Thank you. 2M more for 10M subscribers!
Fabulous Lucy!
You're really a great teacher.
Wow! Your daily vlog challenge really made me happy. So I can improve my english easily. I appreciate it 😍

I cannot thank you enough, Lucy. I do respect and appreciate you.
Respected teacher, your teaching method is great.
It's a big surprise about library. Cambridge dictionary and many Prononciation lessons give 3 syllables
Yeah..right!
I looked for it, since I've been pronouncing this way too...
Very easy and useful, thank you very much Lucy 😊
THANKS MY DEAR AWESOME TEACHER GOD BLESS YOU MORE.

having witnessed this channel was great as the teacher here teaches so elegantly that i was taken aback as the true miracle of God, which Lucy ma'am truly is, can be blessed with the nectar of knowledge!!!
I am happy to watch this video early. Thank you so much Lucy
Wow, didn't know about "library" thanks a lot, Lucy!
Thank you dear Lucy 💞
Library is the same phenomenon as February :3
I'm always trying to "unpollute" myself from American English (I find British both easier and prettier, but USA culture is so pervasive that this is a difficult thing to accomplish lol) so these videos really help, thanks Lucy :3
I love your channel! Thanks for teaching us for free and in such a fun way! It's amazing. For today, I have another word usually pronounced wrong: "sword". I do martial arts in an international group, and our common language is English. The "w" should not be pronounced, but almost everyone, including our teachers, pronounces it almost like "word" with an "s" in front.
Yeah that’s right, and for the comment under here, that seems kinda sketchy to me.
Thank you Lucy
Thank you so much, Lucy.
Absolutely awesome.
excellent lovely english professor
Thanks, Lucy!

Fantastic Lucy ❤️👍 Excellent word choices, I love your channel ❤️🥰👍
Your channel is very helpful 👍
As usual, this is very useful.
Have a good day 💐💐💐
Thanks Lucy)) Great tutorial! I 've been pronouncing Library wrong all these years)
No you have not. I believe Lucy is giving the British pronunciation of the word.
What I like prertty much in your teaching videos is that you mind what mistakes foreigner English teachers make and how learners struggle afterwards to understand and communicate native English. As well as before, I enjoyed this video quite much. :-)
Thanks Lucy, your accent is very clear and I understand you very well.
Azerbaijan🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿
In America we go full double hard R on library.
Thank you very much 🙏🕊️💓⭐🌟✨🧚🐝❤️♥️♥️🌷🤗
Your voice is very clear
Due to watching your channel regularly I won English speech competition...so thank you so much,,🥰
She is the best!!
Thanks for the video 🙏
Thank You my beautyful teacher.
I really enjoy the lesson
The sound in the would/should/could trio is really similary to the Hunarian sound ü, so I didn't realize others would struggle with that particular sound.
According to me this is the most beautiful pronunciation lesson,,,,love u Lucy,,from Bangladesh ❣️
Thank you so much lucy mam. 🙏.
Thank you so much.
Didn't know about "talk" and "walk", "library" and "jewellery". Thanks for the nice video
Nice explanation.
Can you do some courses on technical writing? What kind of language to use, that grammar. Also on writing short stories. I really appreciate your effort in sharing your knowledge.
