From what was stated by Toys for Bob, they'll be using as many of the original VAs and sounds as possible. Nothing will be reused but it will be updated much like the Crash Trilogy
The Crash Reboot was changed slightly (Tawna for example was given more character, Coco was playable in Crash 1 and 2). The Spyro Reignited has already changed the design for the Artisan World dragons - they have an Arabian-esque head piece and vests (at least the one shown does).
An artisan is a craftsmen, a refined artist - so yes you are correct. However what I think they're going for is a refined look - evident at the addition of the Artisan Homeworld gateway
There were two things that made me laugh, one was the laugh of Riper Roo from Crash bandicoot and the other the fun moments with the egg thieves of Spyro, those moments marked my childhood playing these games.

As a kid, I somehow heard the egg thief's taunt as low pitched, like "Noh noh noh-noh noh. Hoh hoh hoh hoh" instead of the actual high pitched "Nah nah nah nah-nah. Heh heh heh heh". I think it has to do with the low bitrate of the audio file and I must've only payed attention to the lower frequencies or something. I still have debates with my brother to this day over how it sounds. I'm curious if anyone else heard it as a deep voice as well, or if I'm the only one?
