I caught me fish sleeping once. It scared the shit out of me. I walked in and they were all floating at the surface, but as soon as I flipped on the light they woke up and we're back to their fishy selves
Mine died last night 😑 i got it yesterday but even after i just got them the one that died was acting weird not eating anything, i buried it then after a while i saw another one just laying at the bottom of the tank, i got scared a watched some youtube videos on how to tell if my fish are dying, he got up after I checked again😚 but after swimming awhile he did the same thing and didnt get up for an hour, the video i watched told me that i needed to quarantine the sick fish (the disease must have gotten to him from the one that died last night)so i moved him to another tank cleaned the first tank’s water (just to be sure) and well the other two are doing well, he hasnt moved for 5 hours, im still not letting him go...ill see what happens tomorrow ant let yall know!
My fish do sleep a lot 😂 I sometimes caught them not moving at all. They are just floating. Everytime that you would go near them, that's the time they are awake and swim 😍
I took a nap today and I’m right in the view of my betta and he starts “napping with me” he scared me for a second when I woke up and he was still snoozing but luckily he was ok. Now it’s bed time and he has nestled himself in his plant for the night 😂 He’s so cute I love him
Two of my fishes were not letting other fishes eat the food so we kept the other two fishes separately in a jug when we give them food one of the fish in the jug fell out from the jug even I didn't see it jumping out of the jug then my brother came a noticed that one of the fish was not there then we searched and I found it under the table we all thought it was dead we almost throwed it then it started moving slowly then we kept it back in the aquarium and now it's finally enjoying 😊
i got my fish a day ago and i found it trapped behind the filter. i thought it was sleeping and tapped the glass but it didnt move. i tried to put my hand in there and it still didnt move. its sad. he actually died. rip blue fish. im gonna have to get another one soon since i only have 4 tetra fish now and they need to be in groups of at least 5
Well My Fish Died Because of our Dog Who keeps on drinking Fish Water meanwhilst we already reserved him his own water btw don't say that I didn't put my fish high it's just that my dog is athletic
Is it a good idea to turn off the tank light so they can sleep? And, should the fish tank be full somewhat so they can be closer the air surface to get fresh air every so often? Just asking if anyone can help? I have small fish and their mostly orange and black in their tail and a silver body, what are they? Thanks if anyone would like to help please? 😊😅❤😊
Thats why my fish were doing that I was wondering they're not like acting like they're about to die they were just like stay there and when I would turn the light on they would lik wake up and somewhere around
My comet GF are at least 1.5 years old..they have been usually active every time I see them...if they were unlit tank or lit it didn’t really matter much. ....lately they are the opposite.....not almost always swimming &/or trying to eat. “Normal”?
Now I feed them...and maybe up to 5 minutes later 3...maybe 4 are eating. Compared to all 4 always seemingly trying to eat.....it’s not “normal” for them.

Not necessarily. My fish sleep in a very specific way, I turn the aquarium light off and the two oscars chill underneath their fake bonsai tree and sleep like yin and yang. One faces one way, the other faces the opposite way but their side by side and right next to each other. And they stay like that until one of us walks too fast or if we turn on the light. They look like ⬆️⬇️

My angelfish sleeps, his eyes are pale white instead of red in the morning and he just floats around then perks up when I turn on the light.
At night they go to sleep sins their bodies go into rest. They wake up kinda the way we wake up heh.

Just got clownfish and found them in their sleeping positions and freaked the hell out thinking they were dead
Noticed my Betta fish likes to sleep at night. He prefers the lights out at 10pm :)

I also got 2 fishes for myslef and 2 for my sister one of her fish died 1st then one of my fish died but the other 2 fish stick together alot
