Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Most Crowded, not top 5
Kara is actually one of the bravest women I’ve ever seen. In Bangladesh, a country where there is lots of violence against women, she’s surrounded by a crowd of men just staring at her and she manages to make jokes and conversation and even high fives the crowd. Always admired Kara, lucky man Nate! ❤️
Yes, I was thinking the same !!!
Kara is very brave, but I also hope someone else is keeping eye on her with all the men around her. 🙏🙏🙏

Never in a million years i wouldve expected to see the name of my country (Argentina) written on a wall in Bangladesh
FYI: It's so common in Bangladesh...visit Bangladesh & you'll find your country flag even in remote villages. Because there's so many fan base & clash between Argentina & Brazil....!! sometimes fight also happen between two supporters.
during world cup, the whole country is divided into two teams: Argentina and brazil. People paint their whole building with either argentina or brazil flag.
During world cup...Argentinas Flag is seen every, means every where(based on fan)...up,right,left,here,there,everywhere...world cup crazyness over every corner of our country...
You should have come in 2018 world cup season....i had two flags in my room... One is bangladeshi and the other one is argentine...lmao
Pretty common out here. You'll notice the Brazilian flag right on the other side.
I visited Dhaka on business last year and found them most friendly people.

Someone who lives in North America who is bengali, visiting Bangladesh about 3 years ago was such a beautiful experience of my life. It was soo culturally different than where I grew up in and culturally brought up in. Everyone was so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I've learned how the poor treat everyone equally whereas, the rich people treat the poor people like shit. It's sad but you see the people and the way they live. They're soo happy and are super grateful with what they have over there but whereas, people who are in North America tend to be unhappy with what they've got. I would love to go back and visit again one day, hopefully after covid eases down. It was such a remarkable place. Even though I was there for only 2 weeks, I absolutely loved every bit of it. I got to ride in a CGI and on a rickshaw. I went to the mall in Dhaka and it was massive!
The administrative Dhaka District was first established in 1772, but the existence of urbanised settlements in the area that is now Dhaka city - dates from the 7th century. The present day Savar was the capital of the Sanbagh Kingdom during seventh and eighth century. The city area of Dhaka was ruled by the Buddhist kingdom of Kamarupa and the Pala Empire before passing to the control of the Hindu Sena dynasty in the 9th century. Many believe that the name of the city was derived after the establishment of the Goddess Dhakeshwari's temple by Ballal Sena in the 12th century. Dhaka and its surrounding area was identified as Bengalla around that period. The town itself consisted of a few market centres like Lakshmi Bazar, Shankhari Bazar, Tanti Bazar, Patuatuli, Kumartuli, Bania Nagar and Goal Nagar. After the Sena dynasty, Dhaka was successively ruled by the Turkish and Afghan governors descending from the Delhi Sultanate before the arrival of the Mughals in 1608.
You guys are amazing! You just jump into it where ever you go !!! Either way, smell, dirt, or whether it's crowded. You take it as it is. Without prejudice but with respect. And always, always with a smile. You choose to view the countries as they are by looking for local places and not touristy places. You are the born travelers!!!❣

I have just started following you and have been binge watching your blogs right from the beginning. I am from Dhaka and I can't believe you have chosen to visit Bangladesh. The Old Dhaka you saw today is seldom visited by foreigners as they prefer to stay in the more affluent parts of town, but the way you've presented the beatiful chaos of this city is commendable! If you are back in Dhaka please try the Haji Biriyani. You won't be disappointed!
Total misrepresentation of Dhaka and Bangladesh. That Mamun is no tourist guide. He should be reported to the authorities.
@@BAlif-fh4mq Maybe he is giving them exactly what they requested. Not everyone wants the pretty tourist sights. Many of us want more authentic local experiences. That sunset place on an unfinished building is a perfect example, exactly what I would have wanted. Did you see how many other tourists were in the video? Zero. Some of us crave that experience and it's an incredibly rare thing these days. More Asian tour guides need to learn this is what we want.

I am from Bangladesh, settled in Houston, Texas and enjoying Kate and Nate's world tour. At the same time Bangladesh 🇧🇩 should make efforts to have smaller families and fewer children. We are a small country, any pandemic will effect majority of the population. In 1974 when I chose to leave Bangladesh for education and subsequent settling in Texas, I read Malthusian Theory. Population and disease grows geometrically, while our food sources are limited. In 1974 we had 7.5 million people and today Bangladesh has 16 million.
Stay safe in this corona pandemic my friend. Love & respect from Bangladesh
Bangladesh needs to work on providing good public toilets. Visitors should be guided to better hotels and restaurants. Bathrooms typically should be clean and dry. At the same time during this time of Covid avoid crowds wear your mask. I strongly people should seek safety in their homes in the city or in their homes in the village.

i dont see many people in bangladesh doing high fives except for those born in the 90s and 2000s, or just celebrities.
Bangladesh is an unique country! Enjoy it. Thank you for sharing! Yay for new country!
It's really appreciable how you find that guide to go deep path in the city and actually got the chance to mixed up with the people..
If i was a guide and select places to visit may not choose what he chose to show you. On that view i think that guide is really good..
I am also thrilled by another trip video of yours which was an accommodation on hill.. That was so scary to see how to go up in there and come down on the surface.. Maybe some day i will try to visit.. 💕
Loved watching your Bangladesh trip a lot. Thank you for sharing.
❤❤❤❤ I can't believe its almost 100 countries!! I hope you guys publish a coffee table book with all your pictures.
I love the heartfelt respect and positivity you express in poor, hard working countries like Bangladesh. You're special people. 💖

You have to use the word struggle instead of poor, old man. Bangladesh got their independence just 50 years back and has been progressing well.
Living in this country we just want to get outta here! But you guys have a different perception to look at Bangladesh..Thank You💜
It’s so cool that I can understand everything everyone is saying... even the bad things.
We would watch every minute of an hour long video!

@Craig those stinky muddy crowds are also human like you,and they don't bite
You will find humanity here....
Craig and Noor Noor: your minds are more stinky and muddy. These are honest beautiful people who keep the world sane.
I’m from Bangladesh and it truly warms my heart to see people enjoying Bangladesh’s culture and people so much. Thank you for visiting my country ♥️♥️

watching my country through your eyes would be a different experience
Wow just returned from India.... I can’t even imagine a place being more densely populated!
Yeah its just dhaka. Otherwise Bangladesh is empty. People prefer dhaka that much that they made it the most densely populated city in the world.
Aren’t' u saw their video rural area in Bangladesh....plz must watch
@Telive Qwenton lol not true. Only dhaka is over crowded.
@Telive Qwenton not nearly as crowded as dhaka is. There are more places than just dhaka or ctg. Your comment hate history says it all lmao indian.
