    If you could do a leg press/hack squat combo review that would be great!!

      Unfortunately I probably won't bring another large piece like this into my space only because of how much room it takes up (unless another company reaches out with an offer I can't refuse 😜)

    They have 2 belt squats. I'd love to see a review of the one with the kinda heart shaped handle. It is cheaper than any belt squat on the market, so I'm not expecting alot. However, if it actually works that would be awesome.

    • @MattPendergraph
      @MattPendergraph  Před rokem +1

      I noticed that one too (unique design and looks pretty compact for a standalone unit). I'd have no problem reviewing it if the company were to reach back out with an offer.

    • @MattPendergraph
      @MattPendergraph  Před rokem +3

      Yes, I've noticed that a few other content creators have reviewed the Leg Press/Hack Squat Combo offered by the company. They clearly contacted a number of us with the same proposal. It's crucial to be transparent in this line of work and not simply regurgitate what the company wants us to say for a quick profit. I value my integrity too much to do that 🤷‍♂.

      Sorry I'm just now seeing this! Definitely make sure whatever you get doesn't utilize rollers! lol You want bearings! I'd probably check out Titan, Bells of Steel, Powertec, etc....more reputable brands than most the stuff on Amazon

    commerical leg press machines I would go second hand.

    • @MattPendergraph
      @MattPendergraph  Před rokem +2

      Absolutely! You can usually score some sweet deals going that route!

    • @elderbdb
      @elderbdb Před rokem +3

      I agree, but they are pretty big for a home gym with the weight horns out to the sides. Commercial units are not only pretty pricy used but they are heavy and need a considerable amount of room to load and unload plates when the weight horns stick out like 2ft on each side. I went with a Powertec leg press and its great, very happy with my purchase. Its compact, the weight horns are hidden behind the leg press plate like the one in the review. $1500 for the Powertec leg press is pricy but relative to a used commercial leg press or a budgeted leg press with bad rollers still priced at $1000; I really think you cant go wrong the the little extra for quality and the larger foot plate. I considered combo units with the hack squat but all of those types of machines have a smaller foot plate and that makes a big difference when its primary function is for leg press and where you are positioning your feet on the footplate. There are a lot of good reviews on CZcams as well.

    • @davidbuche
      @davidbuche Před rokem

      @@elderbdb You are right but there are a couple of exceptions. Body Solid or Body Masters linear leg press machines are used by hundreds of fire departments across the country. They are narrow and have a smaller footprint. The Cybex Pivot Press is a nice leg press with a small footprint

  • @GoreckiFit
    @GoreckiFit Před rokem

    This legit looks very flimsy for a leg press… I get it’s $1000 but those rollers and some of the parts looked like a big hell no 😂 love the transparency man… hate seeing all the reviews where people don’t disclose whether it was sent or not. • @mcelhinn
      @mcelhinn Před rokem

      I think its market is those using 2 to 3 plates on each side of which there are the mass of the gym members. I would think it does not compare well with commercial or even high end 2k home stuff. That said, for the person rehabbing an injury or just wanting to strengthen the legs, the price point sounds pretty good to have at home. I would also spend the extra 100.00 to have linear bearings but I would take it to the upper end of what I described. For someone in his/her 50s/60s or more and even those just starting out, it might fit the need perfectly. Again I have not personally used this piece, but I have used the old Parabody stuff that had plastic bearing/bushing stuff. I know the glide can be less than smooth.

    I have it and use up to 9-45 lb plates on each side for a over 800 lbs and its smooth and stable. I have the linear bearing version and i also paid $698 for it on sale.
