- In this reaction, thanks to Napalm Records, I had the absolute pleasure of checking out the latest Powerwolf before it was even released to the public, which means I had no knowledge our outside opinions of this song before going into it... And honestly? It might be one of my favorite Powerwolf songs I've ever heard, and one of the strongest choruses I've heard in a while.

Powerwolf is one of the rare group for which I find that absolutely all their songs are good!
I feel like all their songs sound the same. Maybe thats why.
Only 2 band's songs have ever gotten me headbanging. Sabaton, and now Powerwolf.
As soon as I heard that opening verse I was like "Wait, is this Powerwolf or Sabaton?".

And yeah, it's a great song. I really dig it. I only listen to Powerwolf on occasions, but I will definitely listen to them more in the coming days.

Its distnctly Powerwolf in terms of lyrics. But... I hear some similarities.
Sabaton's influence is huge right now. They just have a winning (and very profitable) sound and presentation, so it's no wonder many bands similar to them are following suit. I even hear a bit of crossover with Amon Amarth at times. I love all three bands, so it's all good.
This song seems like the perfect blend of Alestorm + Powerwolf, immediately went to the top of my Powerwolf list, loving this track

I have not seen any live performance from this band. My problem wouldn't be one of tone, it'd be one of can I pronounce everything they're pronouncing in the time they do.

Powerwolf and Sabaton are definitely to some extend similar.
And back in the day when Metal festivals were happening in Germany they played so often together on festivals that friends and I started to refer to them as the "Saberwolf and Powerton" combo menu. 😛

Nice to know I wasn't imaginating things and this song has a bit of Sabaton in it! The chorus is a real killer.
I prefer when you break down gear, but if doing this kind of more relaxed video from time to time prevents you from burning out, go for it!

I would like to see a collaboration between Sabaton and Powerwolf.
Vlad the Impaler would be a good choice because it fits Sabatons history theme and Powerwolf's mythical theme as he was the inspiration for Count Dracula

This song became my favourite Powerwolf song after the first listen. They always have catchy songs, but this one is extra earworm material.

I have seen Powerwolf at Wacken about 3 times and they still blow me away with the uniqueness they bring. And this latest song makes me love them more and more. It makes me want to sing and shout and party with the crowd
Damn I love powerwolfs chorus so much! Army of the night, Amen and Attack, Demons are the girls best friend etc etc and now this! They are always so good I will never forget this band. Saw them 5 times and my first time crowdsurfing was at wacken with "we drink your blood" , just great! :D

Absolutely agree, this has more of the old Powerwolf in it than most of their new stuff - which I like a lot, because while modern Powerwolf is still good, I liked them even more in the time from Blood of the Saints to Blessed and Possessed. Should be a reason for me liking this song a lot.

Seeing you absolutely rock out to the chorus is so fun. Also basically how I reacted when I first heard this one. The chorus is absolutely massive, the overall composition is incredible, the melodies are amazing, and I just love it.
I pretty recently discovered these guys listening to a Sabaton station on Apple Music. I fell in love with them so fast! I ABSOLUTELY hear the similarities between them and Sabaton in this song! I hear it a lot in the lower harmonies/backing vox.

Freakin love Powerwolf! One of my favorite Powerwolf songs among many. I’ve been trying to figure out why I love the guitar solos so much and you nailed it, it’s not shredding. Its actually a part of the tune. Spot on!

Tank another epic Powerwolf song , fantastic. Powerwolf never disappoints. Great reaction. On another note I went to see knotfest. Roadies are amazing! It took then fifteen to twenty minutes to break down and put up another set. You are so correct, Roadies only ware black. Maria Brinks costume got hung on a prop and a roadie ran out and took care of it. So professional 👏

Goddamn phenomenal.
The chorus feels like it has something Sabaton in it but i cannot name it as it sounds Powerwolf af. The intro with the vocals and instrumental chorus before the actual vocals begin is hella Sabaton. The drums during the verses remind me of Sabaton too but the verse itself is classic Powerwolf. This might be my new "hey check this band out" song for introducing people.
Have you heard Midnight Madonna before? It took me like 2 years to realise it even exists (shame on me) but its very fun, the organ is really the star in there.
I dont come here for gear breakdown man, i come here to see if Tank takes off his hat to headbang. Do what makes you happy and people will watch for the energy of a person visibly having a great time.

Oh, and btw - this Powerwolf song is even worse than the Beast of Gevaudan, it takes a while to grow on you, but then it hits hard. Listen to it four or five times and you'll know what I mean. Kudos to Powerwolf for such a phantastic song, this thing is massive.

I feel like the Sabaton sound is from the keyboards veering away from the pipe organ sound and instead going for the 80s synth vibe that Sabaton uses so often. Definitely a killer song and top 10 Powerwolf song for me

I don't really like the older stuff from Powerwolf but some years ago I gave it another try (I think it was Sanctified with Dynamite) and really liked the sound of it. Since then it is one of my absolute favourite bands. Their music in the recent years is just monstrously good.

Not going to lie this sounds very Sabaton like and I absolutely love it.
So I got the song on my spotify immediately, but waited to watch the lyric vid until you could react because I wan ted to do that with you. Not disappointed sir! Great tune, great reaction, love their lyric vids, the artwork is AMAZING! Could this be the beginning of a Pirate-themed album?
