This video, and some of the comments, brings back a memory of something that happened a couple decades ago when my parents and I were at a train station near Washington, DC. We were waiting for a train but weren't sure whether a particular one would take us where we wanted to go. There was a black woman, perhaps 50 years ago, sitting and waiting for the train. My father asked this woman if the train went to that area, and the woman answered him with the information. However, my father was so "apologetic" about asking her ("sorry to disturb you"), and said so before asking and then afterward, acting as if he had asked the president, queen or pope. I felt so embarrassed, thinking this was not Mississippi in the 1950s in that some "social norm" had been violated. I almost wanted to apologize to the woman, saying that my father, who was perhaps 70 at the time, grew up in a different era, but realized doing so would awkward and would make it worse.

"I can't be racist, my shadow is black" I'll use that in future.
Liam Mahan 😳😳😳
Liam Mahan lmfao
Same
FOH
Me too 😆
Brilliant observation and also a great example of show rather than tell in the storytelling. Loved it.
OMG The ending is just!
when people act all "politicly correct" but just as a trend and don't actually care about the racism and unfair treatment towards different groups of people
Treating others the way we'd like to be treated is a ridiculously long trend. It's like longer than this whole religion fad people are super into these days.
Pretty much how most if not all SJWs truly are.
Most of society and the left rn.
John Doe facts.
black people like to commit crimes, wait whoops i mean white people like to commit crimes, i almost said something racist by pointing out black stereotypes
I can’t be racist my shadow is black 😂
The life of CASSIE 😂
See it's funny
I ded
The life of CASSIE it’s not even that racist
"that racist" so it is racist.
oh boy, this is such a good one!
When he said " something tells me we're on the same page here", he was very accurate
funny thing is, he was joking. she wasnt
Stealthy Shark ikr
Oh yas
Yes, killer ending
Not funny thing, he apologized for offending someone, his go-to move was to validate his prejudices..
She saw a black guy and assumed he was a beggar. That makes her the true racist so the tables really were turned.
Congrats you described the end of the video do you want a reward for that?
@@phatassphilip1892 With that big attitude, you must be compensating for something.
@@NoName-ms8jb Nice to know your mom is teaching you that everybody that acts negative is a troubled individual. Welcome to the 5%. The people that nobody talks about.
@@NoName-ms8jb also quit using this as an excuse for writing a terrible comment. You are just criticising humans as a way to expand your ego and trying to get me off topic.
I started this thread and you butted in. The one who buts in is the one with the problem.
"i can't be racist, my shadow is black"
LMAO
I felt second hand awkwardness when she didn’t laugh at his joke-
It wasn't funny
Cherry Bomb they weren’t funny, they were racist, I’m just saying that in any situation it’s awkward when nobody laughs at a joke.
Wasn't really racist
ribs joke wasn't funny. Ribs are tasty regardless of your race, its just supid
I didn't get that ribs joke, to be honest. The Christmas tree & priest one though; I laughed out loud! 🤣
“I’m sensitive about this”- is white.
All my black friends are okay with my "racist" jokes.
White ones in the other hand... Can't handle them
Cemil PCMR yep, that’s how it is with my friends and everyone I know too
White people can be sensitive about black racism too. Jeez
Cemil PCMR 😂complete opposite for me,sure I do have some black friends that take jokes but not most
she might be .. educated and doesn’t like them type of jokes because she’s done her research on what poc go through daily but Ok
Simple, short, amd straight to the point. This was beautiful!
This is hands down my favourite Omeleto short film! 😂😂
That sarcastic tip of an imaginary hat and addressing her as "Miss" before walking away... 🧐 🤣 👌
Yea I caught that.. The meaning of it... Great little addition I thought
They only call her miss because their aim sucks.
@@aiden_macleod ...unless her epiglottis is being tickled at that juncture
Absolute chad 🏆
Not only was she racist, she found it hard to apologize to the black guy sincerely and was lost for words to explain her apology.
imagine her reaction if he was gonna say a "fat girl " joke
💀💀💀💀💀
I dont think she is fat or ugly she is actually a pretty woman
Yo everybody above me is as sensitive as the girl in the video 💀 take a joke, jeez
@jonny the boy Lol she is an actress calm down.
I'm overweight and found this joke really funny, y'all stop getting offended by something that is not even potentially addressed to you. The character she plays is a snowflake, moral of the story don't be like her, just take a joke as it is :))
"My shadow is black" hahaha
Excellent! Thank you!! Most people are not aware of their own prejudices!! Love from Germany
I think there’s a difference between a racial joke and a racist joke.
Definitely,I would say a racial joke is something to do with black or white or mix raced people, and a racist joke is a very bad stereotype that is taken seriously like when a Muslim ask you to watch ur bag social experiments, can u see the difference, might be hard as I'm not good at explaining things
@@treybz8327 Wait if a racial joke is just for black white or mixed ppl can I be hella racist towards others
True , this was cleared up years ago by Timothy DelaGhetto. But it's alright all you gotta say is 'no racial' . 👍🏽
agricolaregs Elaborate?....
Nah. A joke is a joke. It’s not meant to be serious
"I can't be racist, my shadow is black" was actually pretty good😂 I wouldn't consider it racist though, because it's commenting on the stupidity of white people saying they know a black person so they can't he racist. I thought it was kinda clever
same
`the jokes were so funny i forgot to laugh
@CIA Well said!
@Nash yh i hate when ppl say that black ppl cant be racist because they absolutely can be!
Is it just me or do I personally just not find that joke funny? Like, I just didn't laugh at it. Not cause I thought it crossed the line or anything, just cause.
Well, Well, Well. How the Turntables.
He really dodged a bullet here. She seems like a real crusader.
I’m black and that rib joke was funny and the so was the shadow one🤣🤣😂
Real moral: Everyone sucks in their own way.
absolutely
The comments from 2 years ago were kinder, but you do have a realistic point, good sir.
Agreed
Wtf I mean no offense but not even close the guy was understanding, the moral is that actions mean more than words
@@CZcamsShortsIsACesspool Practicing not being racist is cool, but still not patting people on the back for the race jokes either. Either way, it's a step backwards and we should understand we are still capable of, knowingly or not, doing or saying something that can alienate, demean, and/or set back a people. Even as a "harmless joke" or "misunderstanding."
"gonna let that sink in a little bit"
*triumphantly licks lips*
🤣
🤣🤣
My favorite of the whole skit!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The black dude should have rebuked her by looking at the other guy and asking "excuse me, do you have any alms for the blonde?" Mic drop.
My expectations were indeed subverted.
Everybody: "oh i understand the meaning.. she is actually the racist"
in fact most people are like her
Both are racists but in different ways. Most people are like her who are ignorant but think themselves to be 'woke'
She is just THE depiction of a Karen. Writing this in 2020 while this short is from 2017... It describes todays hypocrisy perfectly.
@@mochimmy3724 No he wasnt racist, the real moral here is that the only people who get offended by clearly non-offensive jokes about race are genuinely racist people because those jokes cut too close to what they actually think
@@mochimmy3724 what like u wanna stop ppl from making such jokes? And to what extent? I m an indian and I laugh at the stereotype that most indians are technical support with a weird accent(it's pretty understandable tho)
So like to what extent will u go to, to curb ppl from makin such jokes. Lol I think I said to much...
He was racist though, but not in as obvious a way as the woman. Finding nothing wrong with repeating a stereotypical joke is pretty iffy to me. The second joke he made was obviously a joke, so I agree with you on that.
I personally think both of them were racist and neither of them really recognized it because at that point, the racism they portrayed was subconscious.
moral is more like: racism is often not that obvious and people often dont show who they realy are
Was this video made 6 years ago? Really!? Super current with the present... brilliant!
