Did you guys know we have a podcast?
It’s an extension of this channel where we have candid, unfiltered discussions about video production, life, and being a creator!
m.czcams.com/users/TheTuxedoTimePodcast
I knew it and was waiting for this one for so long… I’m literally working on a similar setup… can you Becki please let me know how are you monitoring your voice through your head phones? They are pretty far from rodecaster…
@@SwarupRaoDG we just have 10 and 15 foot cables ran from the Rodecaster to our headphones!
@@BeckiandChris could you share more about the stand for the rodecaster? Also, how did you Frankenstein the stands? I have been looking for a solution for the same problems! Thank you!!
Do you guys have someone to switch camera's? Or you do that in post?
Awesome video guys. Inspired.
@@BeckiandChris wow you replied… I must let you know your channel has been an inspiration to me for a long time now… thanks for everything.
It’s been really fun to see/hear the podcast evolve. Absolutely awesome setup for an awesome show 🙌
I feel like only LISTENING to the podcast, I'd be missing out on the amazing aesthetic of the video setup. I dig it so much! Thanks for this video. 🙌
This layout of the setup is amazing. Thanks for sharing this video.
would love to see how you guys process audio in post!
I’ve watched this video over times to figure out what i need or what I’m missing for my podcast. The standing arms a such a gem thank you for that
Dang, I am binging on your videos tonight and this space is just giving me the feels. Stunning work, Becki! Love it. I want that kind of space in my house 😄
Always such great vibes from you both. Love how you’ve literally removed all possible physical obstacles, allowing you to just hit record and start talking! That’s working smart!
Please come and organise my life! 😂
Thanks Steve! Definitely makes it easier having a joint channel and one of us working outside the house!
As a person who loves indoor and dark colors. Your place's setting is such a beauty, I hope one day when I have my own house I would make it similar like yours tho
Yoooooo… Love Love Love this!!!! Thank you for saying and showing how you make it easy by removing the obstacles of actually filming and or editing… This is what I need to start me podcast….
I love you guys. Yall vibe is undefeated.
Rewatching this for inspo and realizing Chris names off set pieces with all the surprise of a dad watching his kids open christmas presents. Great job Becki.
Phenomenal space -- Lots of inspirations on my end -- Thanks! ✌🏼
thank you both so much. this is what exactly im looking for
Dayummmm! How do you keep it so clean!?? Awesome setup guys!
would love a video on how you put the two mic stands together to make the one you are using
bump
HI Becki and Christ. Can you send me please the link in amazon to buy the attachment you use to put the podcast mic in the lighting stand. You talk about it in the minutes 2:37. thank you. Im enjoy all your videos.
Great looking podcast set. Very well done, enjoyed the video. Thanks.
If I squint I can see 70 from today instantly. You two inspire me every time I watch!!!
My daughter agrees to help me this summer for my channels video set... (no sense of aesthetics to date). Oh!! I make Benjamin Moore paint for a living at my Hardware Store Job. Discount! Beautiful Work Becki and Chris!
Thanks Samuel! Benjamin Moore paint is my absolute favorite!!
Seeing your studio setup would always be a treat for me.😁
Wow your podcast studio is really awesome guys. Also great video 😊
We need these studio tours to never end
This setup is so cosy! Also Tuxedo Time keeps us going when we drive distances! :)
Keep up the good work guys!.
The designer in me is in love with the Helvetica pillow. 😍
Love your LUTS ❤️🔥
Great video. I am opening my first podcast/video studio and this give me ideas how to furnish it.
Killer set up!
incredible setup!
Great walk through! I love that you mumbled the name and just showed it on the screen. The struggle is real. There are so many names for products!
Thanks! Haha if they are a random string of letters and numbers my dyslexic ass can not remember the proper order 😂
Genuinely one of my favorite podcasts especially when I just want to chill and relax
🙏🏼 thanks so much!
Great video. I love it
Wonderful studio
Love this setup so much. What are the measurements of the space? I'm trying to multipurpose my studio room where I capture headshots professionally and want to get into this kind of video space. Time to maximize my 11x14 room!
Dope setup!
Hey the onlything I didn't see linked is the stand you have the rodecast set on. We have a rodecast and are about to move into a new space and that would be super helpful for storage and aesthetics.
My favorite part of yours guys brand is the self promotion and marketing for other services and products everything seems cohesive instead of forced 🔥
Thanks much!
Yesterday morning, I watched ~3 of your videos and LOVED the black (I'd been on the fence for a year). Yesterday afternoon, I bought the paint and got to work. It's only halfway done but I'm in looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove
LOVE hearing this!! Yay!!
Hi Ann 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌹🌹🌹🌹
Love it!!!!!!!!!
Fiiieeewww, awesome 🔥
I really enjoy listening to your podcast and what an awesome set up! Also that rocker looks soooo comfortable! Hello From Nova Scotia!
Thanks Dawn! We love the rocker, being able to sit cross legged with a laptop is so great!

Love the studio setup folks! do you cover your microphone and cameras when you are not recording (dust covers etc)?
dope setup
Guys I love your vibes SO MUCH, so aesthetic! I'd love to do a podcast - but maybe when my main YT channel is more established 😅 Nevertheless you guys are a constant source of inspiration for me, and the direction I want to go regarding the style and aesthetic of my content!
Thank you so much!
@@BeckiandChris thanks for the vid!!! love your style
I love that weird translucent timber side table.
I’ve been wondering about that wood grain acrylic side table for so long
Awesome video you guys have any videos on how you edit all that together thanks
WOW! So esthetic and clean 🤩 The only thing I don't realize is how you mount your PSA1 boom arm on the floor 🤔
I love how you guys have designed this space - the colors, lighting, furniture… damn!!!
I’m wondering how this logic could be applied for a Work From Home / Zoom Call / Live-streaming setup. I would love to see you guys’ take on that.
Also, how the hell did Chris fit in that table?
Thanks much! I’d be curious about that too, you would have to figure out a way to get your feed from the Rodecaster to the computer for Zoom. Not sure if that’s possible but would be curious to know.
2:54 😂😂😂😂😂 I love this. Sony doing their usual thing lol.
Can you show us how you organize your clips in your NAS? Like folder structures so that it is searchable? do you keep all your video in slog and only color gray the ones you edited? How do you use lightroom when your photos are in your NAS? Also, what about your 360 videos? Do you store them in raw format? or export them as some standard 360 videos? or do you make director's cut 2d video than store them?
I love this chromatic look you have going on.....very very cool. My wife and I just launched ours and trying to figure out the right look for us!
That's amazing, what you've achieved in that space. I love your basement interior style and how everything you produce is on-brand. I wonder if you might have some recommendations for books/videos about interior design, graphic design and colours harmony? 🙃
Thanks much! For interior design channels check out Hunting For George, The Local Project, and Nick Lewis!
@@BeckiandChris Thank you!
Great video! Curious to know if you faced any overheating problems with the a6400 if you were recording a podcast longer than 30-40 minutes? Appreciate the help!
Dope set up! Do you have a link to the lap top holder you’re using for the Rodecaster?
Hey, very nice setup!!! please can you tell me what is your mic stand? becuase i was thinking for such stand from the floor .. nice look!
Hey Becky! How did you manage to attach the rode psa1s to the floor stands?
im wondering this also.
Great video guys! How many m2 is the space for the podcast studio?
I would like to see recommendations for a lightweight, fast setup but professional looking mobile version of podcast lighting equipment that is usable in various locations, without needing to rent from a near shop each time
I can't with the ''Sony's EWEWEWE 3''...happens to me all the time I want to recommend it. 😆
Hi guys. Amazing content as always. Do you have a link or the name for the mic stand that is holding your flexible Rode mic? This is an amazing hack. Thanks.
I’m looking for the same setup. Shame they didn’t put the link to the base.
bump
How do you guys continually record on your cameras for an hour straight? How does one get around the recording limits on DSLR cameras?
Where did you get the bison picture?! I love it!
Would you mind sharing the light stand ref for holding the psa-1?
What are the boom mic arms mounted to? I need something low and out of the way (next to a chair, similar to yours), so I was curious how the boom was mounted that it didn't tip over and stayed steady.
Quick question... for the wide angles with you both in shot... what camera settings are you using? I.e what f.stop and are you using auto focus? Cheers!
Nice
Finally, now I know where Becki's side table came from. I've seen it for years now, but have never been able to find one. Soooo want one🙂🙏
🤯😢No, no, no, no, no. I love that table, but I don't love it that much. I'm going to try and make one myself, I just need an old fish tank😂
@@heathbarlow8769 Do it in acrylic or perspex, and you'd be able to score the table with a Dremel or other graining tool.
Those mini pop screens are deadly! Where can I find them? I'm using the ugly foam one and I hate it.
Do you guys use an ATEM for video or just edit everything in post?
First off I work on podcasts for a living. You guys are killing the set design and workflow aspects of this. Absolutely love your channel!
Thanks Joshua! That means a lot!
Could you share the mic stands you used for the podcast mic arms
May I ask kind of paint was used for the walls?
It looks like you used an adapter at 2:40 for the mic stand and the Rode PSA1. Would you have the link to that?
What bases are you guys using? Looking for the same setup. Thanks.
I have a substancial amount of background hissing (noise floor) with my zoom podtrack p4 that is picked up in the audio recording and I can hear it through the headphones during the recording session. How do I get rid of this?
2:39 where did you get the adapter to attach the boom arm to the light stand? What's it called so I can buy one?
what are the length and width of the whole room if you don't mind me asking... im creating my own set using your set as inspiration currently
What kind of lamp did you frankenstien?
What did you use for the boomarms
Could you tell me what kind of pop filter u use, and how u atach rode psa to this mic stands? can u give me some links im already looking for something like this solution please.
What is the wall color?
Where can I buy one of the tiny little pop filters for my podmic?
I’ve been trying to find that type of mic stand for weeks….. what kind did you get from Amazon?
That black/white minimalistic aesthetic works for you guys but it would drive me bonkers. I need much warmer colours in my life!! More Africa than Nordic, if you know what I mean. But I really like the efficiency of your setup. Very well set up indeed.
For sure! Everyone has their own style and color schemes they are comfortable with, I appreciate the warmer tones but prefer living in the cooler ones. ☺️
so uhhh... what's the arm mount holding the rodecaster? It's missing on the list page with gear or whatever
Can we get a link to the mic stand you guys are using to support psa1
How do u switch between camera angles while u r recording?
Whst is the rodecaster pro mounted on.
How long are you guys xlr cables
Do you think it is possible to shoot with one camera, wide angle, 6 or 8 k and create three angles by croping into the image?
What is the name of those little light stands
Great setup! Are you filming in 30-minute intervals with the sony system? I know the 6400 has a recording limit. What's your workaround?
None of the cameras mentioned have a 30 minute recording limit! We often film between 30-90 minutes straight with no issues
How's it possible that the key light is not spilling on the background and the background remains dark while the person is completely lit up with the light? I have godox SL 60 with the godox soft box but the light spills on the background also
Link to the mic stands?
Hi Becki, have you tried using those film cameras? And your thoughts on film photography?
Awesome studio!!!
I haven’t used these ones, but I started photography on film and switched to digital about two years in. I don’t think I’d pick it up again right now but maybe down the road! Thanks!
@@BeckiandChris Looking forward to that video if that happens !!! Thank you for the awesome vids and podcasts 🔥
Great video, what are the pop filters you have for the rode mic?
Found it on the blog, thanks.
How many square feet is the room? About how far are the cameras from you/the guests?
This might be a stupid question, but how do you switch back and forth between camera angles during the podcast? Do you just import the footage from all three cameras and do it in your editing software? Or do you have an automated way of doing it?
I was wondering this as well.
Question of the day WINNER!
I’m gonna do a tutorial on how we edit the podcast but I set it up a Multicam sequence in premiere with all the angles synced and switch them during the edit with keyboard commands. It’s all manual but the multi cam streamlines it. Tutorial to come!
@@BeckiandChris Awesome, that’s super helpful! Thank you so much for the reply. Excited for the tutorial!
@@queercyclist Hi Queer 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. Do you guys have to hit the record button the cameras every 30 minutes since they aren’t considered video recorders? How did you guys over come that? I’m trying to start a podcast myself and have been stumped by recording the video since I’ve had the idea
None of our cameras have a 30 minute recording limit which makes it super easy. We just sync everything in premiere with multi cam sequence!
