Salt is a freebie ingredient (just like on professional cooking shows) and is NOT NEEDED! I used it only for my preference.
So it is still only 2 ingredient recipe! Please no hateful comments.
These biscuits blew my mind! I was amazed at how wonderful they are.
I normally use Southern Biscuit Mix Formula L but during these times that has been hard to find.
These biscuits were so fluffy and I was absolutely amazed!
    Biscuits
    2 cups self rising flour
    1&1/2 cups heavy cream
Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes!
    They are wonderful!!
Thank you so much for watching! Please share my videos with all your family and friends. Thank you so much for all your support and for taking time to visit with me down on the farm! May God bless you all!

I do too. Less than that, for me anyway, seems to make tougher biscuits that don't rise as high. Maybe difference in flours, thickness of cream, air humidity, but for me, equal parts is perfect, like this great recipe.

Over the years I have tried several different biscuit recipes; some were kind of good, others not so much. Saw this video and decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. FINALLY!! Found one that works! They rose up so pretty, didn't fall apart, and tasted great!!! I didn't have self-rising flour, so I had to make my own, but that's okay! For every 1 cup of flour add 1 1/2 tsps Baking Powder and 1/4 tsp salt. So for this recipe it would be 2 cups flour, 3 tsps (1 Tbl) baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. I whisked it all together, then put it back through the sifter to make sure it was well mixed. Thank you Leslie for posting this!!!

I was so skeptical of these biscuits except for Leslie, so I tried them tonight for supper. I also used her Salmon Patty recipe. Oh my goodness! First, these biscuits are simply amazing!!!! I made eight biscuits and they were gone in a flash. Even though the dough felt heavier than what I’m used to, they rose up fluffy with a good crust on top. Oh my word, why make anything else. Two ingredients, y’all! Who knew?!! Next, the salmon patties were the best that I’ve ever made; the absolute BEST!!! Served with sliced peaches from the can, that was dinner. I’ll be making this again and again. Thank you, Leslie!!!! 😊😊😊😊😋😋😋😋

Hi Leslie, love the biscuits, (or scones as we call them here). If you roll out the dough into a rough square or rectangle like you did, then use a knife and cut them into squares, the job's done, you don't have to gather up the leftover dough from cutting the rounds and rework it to use the dough up. You'll have square biscuits, but no extra work, and they'll taste just the same, cheers from Australia.

I do love me a good biscuit! I grew up on the South and I have a separate folder in my bookmarks just for Biscuits. Thanks for sharing this. I've never heard of Formula L and I'm gonna' have to check it out. But how simple is this recipe-- just the 2 ingredients. Do you have a favorite self-rising flour? (I can hear my husband now saying--"Why change a good thing, now that you've finally found a recipe that we love???? ";) ) He's patiently endured a lot of biscuit experiments. I grew up in the Deep South and biscuits are their own food group, in my opinion!
This is the first of your videos that I've seen and I loved hearing your family come through there and your husband cracks me up--it reminds me of my hubby! We are a farm family as well (mostly crops, but we do have a batch of chickens for eggs and for my husband's entertainment).

I love how easy this looks! I watched my mom cook from scratch but I didn't follow her footsteps over the years. I still have her recipes, just in case, Lol, but I am adding this one to file! I think even I can pull this off! I do remember her telling me one of the secrets was Not to over-knead the dough. I noticed you followed that as well. I'm so excited to try these. I only stumbled across your video, but have now subscribed! Thanks for sharing with us. And by the way, I love your hair! :))
