Can do will do and just did. Most of my friends here in the states are Irish. I've been to cork county and it was great. I told the taxi driver I wanted to fish the lock and he said you can't fish the lock. I said why all I want to do is catch one take it's picture and throw it back. And he said well if you do that's what they will do to you thell catch you take your picture and throw you in the back. Every body in Ireland seems to be a comedian. I'm guessing it's the good whiskey. God bless.

She used to boil a whole chicken then remove the chicken and drop the dumplings into the broth. Combine 1/4 cup (57 grams) of melted butter with 3/4 cup (178 ml) of milk and mix thoroughly to make 1 cup (237 ml) of heavy cream. You can also add a tablespoon (8 grams) of flour to thicken the liquid, especially if you’re using low fat milk.

My Grandma (on my Daddy's side) had a BIG wooden bowl she and my Aunt Lois (Whose first name is my middle name.) used to make biscuits in - that bowl *always* had at least some flour in it and was never washed !!! One reason for that being is how they always had to use it every Sunday for our family "Sunday Dinners " where at least 15 to 20 family members always showed up, every weekend. The long DR table was just "packed" with homemade dishes, and casseroles; cooked freshly snapped greenbeans;(my sister and I did some of) freshly shelled, cooked, butter beans and black eyed peas - some of which my sister and I shelled); freshly schucked corn on the cob (we did that, too); fresh and homemade mashed potatoes (we peeled some of those); with chicken gravy that was made from the pan drippings after frying up three or four freshly cleaned (plucked) chickens;, and, homemade (never boxed) macaroni and cheese; AND, BUTTERMILK BISCUITS. Sometimes, we'd have homemade pickles and/or pickled watermelon rind. Ahhh, the memories of the "Good - Ol' - Days!!!" That was when food was really prepared with lots o' love, and, families STILL got together and enjoyed being with eachother! I miss those days, too, and, will always have fond memories of them !!!

Thank you not only for your instruction for making yummy biscuits but for your testimony of the founding of our country by God. Just so you know, our family always prays for our nation and our people. I was so happy to see that there are others who also realize how important it is to keep God in our country by keeping Him in our lives.

My Dad was a cook in the Navy during WWII. His speciality was homemade biscuits and cornbreads! We grew up eating homemade breads every day! I have tried but have not been able to master his techniques. I will give this a try. You can’t go wrong with only two ingredients! Lol!
Praying for this country every day! God’s will be done. Thank you for the message! God bless you and your family during this special time of the year.

I want to try this cooking them on a picnic in Upstate SC.
When I was a kid my mother made homemade biscuts. Somewhere I ate and got the idea store bought was better. Brown and serve, yes.
So at some point my mother stopped cooking homemade biscuits. And now, a widowed man in his early 60's, I have the time and space to feel so guilty about not being a perfect son, husband, brother, man, and person.
Today is the fifth year since my wife died. I have since moved back to Greenville SC and am trying to find peace in life.
I just ordered a wood burning camping stove. I'd like to try and make these biscuits on a solo picnic to a waterfall my late best friend and I named in honor of my mother.
Thank you for giving me a purpose and mission to get through today
    Michael

Lord I remember the biscuits that my dad made! Probably the best biscuits I ever ate in my life except of course those from his mother, my grandmother. I appreciated the end comments about the Lord. I learned about biscuits here and got to hear good words about the God above. Thanx.
