I made these and my children loved them. I'm a single dad and I just want them to have an amazing childhood, this was such a hit!
Also check out Dining on a Dime. Super easy Inexpensive recipes. She sells a cookbook but she gives away so many of her recipes for free. Between Hillbilly Channel and Dining on a Dime we have been eating well, cheaply and easily
Lucky children. I was very lucky and had a wonderful dad. They can spend their lives remembering their childhoods full of laughter and kindness. Well done, the world needs more good people. If they were awful, it might even be more fun!
just get them to 18...
Mandy in the Making is also a Very Good channel for recipes. Very Good dinners, etc.

Praying for your country from Ireland. Please pray for us too as this country is in a very bad state, and needs to turn back to God. God bless you and yours!!!
Phil, I will agree with you in prayer for your country and it’s faith in God brother. Thank you for standing in prayer with us for ours as well. God is Good!
Thank you Ireland , My prayer includes you today and beyond. Bless you now and always .
Can do will do and just did. Most of my friends here in the states are Irish. I've been to cork county and it was great. I told the taxi driver I wanted to fish the lock and he said you can't fish the lock. I said why all I want to do is catch one take it's picture and throw it back. And he said well if you do that's what they will do to you thell catch you take your picture and throw you in the back. Every body in Ireland seems to be a comedian. I'm guessing it's the good whiskey. God bless.
That was such a kind thing to say. There is so little kindness in the world today. Praying for your country as well! Blessings from Tennessee!!!!!!!
God Bless You Phil!!

@@TheHillbillyKitchen have you done any videos on how to make homemade chicken and dumplings? My mamaw used to make the best dumplings that took half the day to make. She used to boil a whole chicken then remove the chicken and drop the dumplings into the broth. I cannot remember how she made her dumplings but she would role out the dough on the kitchen table and cut a diamond pattern. They were thin 1/4 inch, dense dumplings.
I love biscuits and sausage gravy! My Daddy taught me how to make biscuits, and just about every kind of gravy. 💕
I know if you place God first in your life you won’t go wrong. I’m thankful every day that my parents raised me to know that there is a God.
Yes...we were a nation that once knew God...but we don't any more...we need to quit saying God bless America...he has blessed us...we need to get on our knees and say.God have mercy on America...we need his mercy. Thank you for the recipe...looked so good...all i needed was some blackberry jelly
It’s soooo refreshing to hear someone that talks like me, Southern people talk sooo much better, way more easy to understand
I enjoy her voice and accent
I really don't know about that since I was born in Virginia

My mum, born and raised in Alabama. She can make homemade biscuits and homemade gravy. She also makes the best pie crusts.
I know right!!!😉😉😉
My grandma always used the last bit of dough to make a baby biscuit for me when I was a little girl . It was always the best one cause it was mine .
My mom used to let me make whatever shaped biscuit I wanted. I would feel like you... it's good because it was mine.
My mom used to do that too!
My Mammaw did for me to. I'd get to shape it myself also.
@@frog4886 Mine did the same thing for me . That is one memory of her I will never forget . Pulling the chair up to the kitchen counter and making the last little tiny biscuit myself . I miss her so . She was still making biscuits at 97 yrs of age .
@@donnaclark5975 The simple memories are the best. My Mammaw would say "Now get up here and learn how to make biscuits. You'll have a family one day". I can still see her little hands shape the biscuits. She passed at 94. So glad yours was able to make biscuits till 97. That's amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Dear, I am 76 years old and nobody has ever explained all of this to me, Thank you! I learn from each of your videos,
I love you! For the first time in my life I made biscuits that are edible!!❤ and I’m 73 years old! It was like magic. I did exactly as you said and they came out tall, fluffy, flaky and melt in your mouth! Thank you Becky, you’ve made my husband a happy man too.
I’m also 73 & hate to cook. I’m so excited about this biscuit recipe & think I’ll make them often. Yum!!!

It's wonderful how you can bake Christian principles into homemade biscuits without skipping a beat! I love it! God Bless!
I do too.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am almost eighty years old and I finally made an edible biscuit, thanks to your two ingredient recipe. I have always been considered a good cook, but biscuits eluded me…they were more like hockey pucks. Now I am proud to put biscuits on my table and my family is more than happy to eat them. 👩🍳
I'm hoping for the same outcome at 71❣🤣
God bless you , I hope mine turn out great also , I'm hoping I can afford white Lilly flour tomorrow & heavy cream as today is August 25, 2022 and all prices have tripled if you can get the items ...

my family says my biscuits are like hockey pucks too!!
Good for you. I am going to try them also, and I am 73
I am 62 and have made edible biscuits 1 time. I couldn't do it again. My mom, dad, and grandma, all made great biscuits. They were all different. My dad's were the best to me. I'm gonna try these. I already use White Lily flour. It does best for me too.
Has anyone tried whipping the cream first? They turn out like clouds! Truly amazing, try it out. I make these for my elder relatives and they go crazy for them and I owe it all to this good woman. Thanks a million for this recipe Mrs! On behalf of my whole family❤

Yesterday my wife made your yeast rolls and this morning I made these biscuits. They were both delicious. We like that you put God first and that you use your platform to talk about our Lord Jesus. We also ordered your cookbook from Amazon. Thank you for your videos and your service to God.
I used wax paper in the oven one time..I felt like an idiot & almost burnt the house down…this video made me feel better about myself lol. Love it!!
I'm going to try this recipe, it looks so easy and time saving..
Praying for our nation.
I don’t use a biscuit cutter. My mama just pinched off some dough and formed them with her hands, so that’s how I learned. No matter how you do it, there’s nothing like a hot, buttered homemade biscuit! God bless us all, and, especially, our beloved, but troubled, country. 🙏
Sho nuff
That's how my mom always did it too!
My dearly departed momma used to make me hot scratch biscuits & sawmill gravy for breakfast, sometimes with a little bacon or fatback, before I went to school. She was a God fearing, country girl too, & I appreciate your approach & witness! God Bless you, you bring back a fond memory of my momma. 😘
I love when my mom makes gravy from bacon fat. It's so yummy.
I put cut up tomatoes, crumble bacon & a good bit of ground pepper in my sawmill gravy made with bacon grease. So good. I used yo make a big bowl & someone else brought biscuits at work at 7am & it was gone in 5 minutes.
Thank you so much! I’m pretty sure this video is just for me! I’m so excited, I am a single mother and I don’t know how to cook! I grew up on hamburger helper and ramen noodles so I have been wanting to learn how to make food that is healthier than the pre packaged stuff from the store. God bless you and I will be praying for our nation!!!
It’s never too late to learn. Kudos to you for wanting to eat healthier and learn . This is a great place to learn simply, easily, calmly and have time to write instructions down. Good

I keep coming back to this one because it's so good. You explain exactly what's wrong with 99% of the biscuits out there and I love it!
Your a breath of fresh air Becky, thank you for being such a bright light in a dark world. Praying for you and your beautiful family ❤️

Thank good lady for your recipe insights- fantastic for this old single man who can't cook. Even more, thank you for opening your heart to us for your beliefs. Uncommon wisdom and truth!
Becky, I love how you detail your recipes, especially for new cooks. I've been cooking for 58 years, and it's great to see you passing on your knowledge to those new cooks. ❤
I watch your channel because it's a little corner of sanity in a bizarre world. Great video.
I have only been watching You Tube video's for about four months. I am so grateful to have found your channel. Not only do I have access to recipes that my father loved, he has passed away, but I also receive a message about God and country. Keep them coming please.
She's great!
You are such a blessing. My grandma taught myself and brothers to make biscuits. My younger brother overworked the dough and the biscuits were tough and hard. He decided to feed them to the birds and my grandmother yelled, don't you kill my birds! Lol. Love your videos, and count them all joy! Needs a love button with the like button. 💜
Cute story..... every time I make a pan of biscuits it makes me think fondly of my grandmother, who was always in her kitchen...
Love that memory! Hillarious. And we can all use a good laugh
I couldn't agree more, I so wish there was a Love button because I would press it REPEATEDLY ❤️😍🥰❤️
What a wonderful presentation and thank you for the heartfelt message calling for unity in our country.
I agree We all need love for each other ❤
This is how I helped my grandmother make biscuits. THE best biscuits and with your sausage gravy, pure heaven. I also remember that LAST biscuit wow.. Its been 40 years but I remember making that last one.
One hint that I learned a long time ago, in my Home Economics class in high school, is to sprinkle some water on the countertop under your wax paper to hold it in place and to keep it from sliding. Also, thanks for all of your simple yet very tasty recipes! Stay safe and God Bless you and your family. 🙏🏼
Great tip, Thanks!
Thanks! Also, a wet dish towel, or wash cloth under a cutting board will help keep it in place.
Is it heavy cream or heavy whipping cream?

My friend brought me up White Lily flour from Fla. This recipe while more expensive due to heavy cream cost, came out the best for me. I’m convinced only Becky can make Brett’s favorite biscuit recipe!!! I’m having fun practicing making biscuits. Blessings to all! Put God First! Glory to God!
Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe on delicious homemade biscuits, i will definitely try this out. They look so delicious, and thank you so so much for placing God first my wonderful sister in Christ Jesus, you are such a wonderful blessing, may our Father in Heaven continue to bless you and you're wonderful family my sister!
I agree with you! Becky is a beautiful lady with an amazing soul!
My grandma taught me how to make homemade biscuits when I was very young, around 8 years old. She always cut the Crisco in the flour until the Crisco had very small pieces of it. Then we would use buttermilk for the liquid. I think I will try your 2 ingredient recipe tomorrow morning. Grandma always made her biscuits and she served them with chipped beef milk gravy, cantaloupe if in season, Home grown tomatoes, and scrambled eggs. Talk about GOOD!! I sure do miss that woman!
My Mamaw made the exact same meal as well as my Mom when I was little!! We loved it! And my Mamaw was also the godliest lady I have ever known. Beautiful memories!❤ The Lord Jesus God first! Amen! (And can't wait to try this recipe!) Thank you!
Yum
This hit home. My grandmother taught me to make them at a young age as well……and the same way your grandma taught you! I miss her!
It's great that you went through the trouble of explaining wax paper and parchment paper. There are a lot of people who don't realize the differences.
Thank you for watching, God bless you!
I used to drive a semi and was able to see how alot, like how some products are made. Watching how paper towels and toilet paper is made would surprise you! Knowing this process is used in making all paper products with the added chemicals I would NEVER place raw food on parchment paper and then bake it. I'll keep lining all my baking pans with real butter for my families safety!
Yes exactly and after all the years of baking I didn't know what parchment paper was until one of my receipes called for so we are never too old to learn something and have a blessed day from Mississippi 🇺🇲
@@452trucker If it makes you feel better, go for it. I hate to tell about those chemicals in houses, trucks, pillows, etc.
Just wanted to share what my wife does when she needs heavy cream in a recipe and doesn't want to buy a carton from the store.
Combine 1/4 cup (57 grams) of melted butter with 3/4 cup (178 ml) of milk and mix thoroughly to make 1 cup (237 ml) of heavy cream. You can also add a tablespoon (8 grams) of flour to thicken the liquid, especially if you’re using low fat milk.
Thank you & esp your wife for sharing this--I'm going make some now!

As you speak of God, You are a Godsend ! 😊
You brought back memories of my childhood.🌈 You know, some of my mom's last advice to me was not to worry about the outcome of any situation because God always gives us 'what he wants us to have'. We're all here playing our own role in the story of life and the sun will shine on the evildoers just as likely as the rain will ruin even the best hairdo day.🤔There's a lesson in there somewhere so don't fret, God knows what he's doing.💞
Keep preaching the word everyone needs to hear this. PRAY AND PRAY AGAIN
People's comments about biscuits are the best.
Anytime you say biscuit, you always get a great response.
Always with a childhood memory attached.

Excellent video sister. I’m definitely praying for the USA, our leaders, the peace of Jerusalem, and the nations of the world. God bless you.
Satan is the Ruler of The world and the things of the world. LOCATIONS are of the world

The nations are people, not just locations. For mercy’s sake, follow Jesus’ advice and love and pray for your friends AND your enemies.
@@minitea4315 don't forget to pray for the strangers you do not know. The enemy are those who oppose God and those are found in the leadership position of our Churches and states and governments

This woman reminds me of my mama when she was teaching me to cook and bake as a small child. God loves us so much He made the southern woman.
@Heather B I know you’re not intending to sound snobbish or downgrading, but that comment manages to do both to any woman who isn’t Southern.
My paternal grandmother was born and raised in Tennessee, but she was no more precious, and no better at cooking/baking than my maternal one who was born in Ohio.
@@SweetPea1964 well bless your heart. I reread my comment and it certainly does not sound snobbish at all. Again, bless your heart.
@@GlitterME So now you're doubling down on your snobbishness and gonna throw in some condescension for good measure?? And then it won't surprise me when you play the victim and act like that wasn't what you're doing at all. But I wasn't born yesterday, and I know exactly what you are saying.
@Scotty G "God loves us so much he made the SOUTHERN woman"? Not a real nice meaning comment to a Northern person.
@@SweetPea1964 oh dear Lord, you are completely butt hurt over each thing I say. First, I’m NOT a victim nor will I try to play a victim. Second, you certainly did take what I said completely wrong. I know how those words can sound and the meaning behind what I said was I’m sorry you feel that way. My first comment was pure bliss because this woman reminds me of my southern mama. You got butt hurt completely out of context. Wow! Let me guess, you are going to go after what I’m writing here? I actually do feel sorry for you. Anger and hate are just not worth it in this world these days...there’s to much of it.
This recipe brought up such sweet memories of my grandmother who made at least one batch of biscuits a day for most of her life. She taught me and I pulled out her yellowed weathered biscuit recipe (very similar to yours) and made her biscuits after watching your video. We left the scrap dough as scrap and just cooked them in a small heap - my sister and I called them doodles. Such sweet memories. Many blessings!
I do pray every day because we are in terrible turmoil now. The only comfort I have is I know who is in control and it is not anyone on this earth. May God bless you and yours.

Hi that's the way my grandmother taught me , but I used Crisco shortening buttermilk & Martha White self rising flour. Thanks for the tip. I'll try this method and tell my son.. Bless you
You must be my sister cause that’s my claim too. 🥰🤗
@@jacquelynwilliams9988 Those are the ingredients my Mamma used, also. My Grandma (on my Daddy's side) had a BIG wooden bowl she and my Aunt Lois (Whose first name is my middle name.) used to make biscuits in - that bowl *always* had at least some flour in it and was never washed !!! One reason for that being is how they always had to use it every Sunday for our family "Sunday Dinners " where at least 15 to 20 family members always showed up, every weekend. The long DR table was just "packed" with homemade dishes, and casseroles; cooked freshly snapped greenbeans;(my sister and I did some of) freshly shelled, cooked, butter beans and black eyed peas - some of which my sister and I shelled); freshly schucked corn on the cob (we did that, too); fresh and homemade mashed potatoes (we peeled some of those); with chicken gravy that was made from the pan drippings after frying up three or four freshly cleaned (plucked) chickens;, and, homemade (never boxed) macaroni and cheese; AND, BUTTERMILK BISCUITS. Sometimes, we'd have homemade pickles and/or pickled watermelon rind. Ahhh, the memories of the "Good - Ol' - Days!!!" That was when food was really prepared with lots o' love, and, families STILL got together and enjoyed being with eachother! I miss those days, too, and, will always have fond memories of them !!!
This is new to me!! 2 ingredients!! Self rising flour and heavy cream. I'll definitely have to try this one!!
I loved this video making biscuits, but I also enjoyed your asking for prayers for our nation. Wonderful! Sending you many blessings.
ANOTHER TIP SHE DIDNT DO: She didn't twist or turn her biscuit cutter while pressing into dough. The reason she didn't twist is because it seals the sides preventing air and rise. Excellent video
Very good point!
Thank you for the tip. I'll try it.
Thanks
@@dianesmith1763 You are very welcome.
TY🙏❤🙏
I have been making biscuits for over 40 years and I have to say that this is one of the best vids for simple biscuits I ever saw. Lots of info from a woman who obviously loves to cook. Nice job!
The biscuits looks great. I enjoyed watching you make the biscuits 😋
Dear Hillbilly
Wow, I’m 63 years old and just learned a ton about biscuits. Subscriber
Hi Miss Becky, my name is Becky too. I am 82 years old so glad I found your sit! .As a believer I appreciate your sharing God along with your recipes. Your videos are so encouraging. Having lost my 2nd husband 2 years ago I lost my desire to bake and cook. But you have given me the encouragement to start again. We can always share with others if we can't eat it all ourselves. I always enjoyed baking for others. Thank you again and God Bless You
I like biscuits and the TRUMP sticker on the fridge. Keep it up.
I thought I was a good cook, but you have helped me take my skills in the kitchen to another level!! Thank you!!
Both methods of your biscuits looked AMAZING and tasty! I can't wait to try this recipe.
I really really appreciate the scientific explanations for each methods and procedure. This'll help me to know how to better prep everything when I'm trying biscuits.
Also, I really appreciate your patriotism and spirituality while presenting your procedures. Very respectful and mature.
I'm not particularly a Trump fan politically.
No hatred to him. Just my own particular personal preferences
But it really touched my heart your respect for your countrymen, and our country and nation, etc etc.
Honest, homegrown values and goodness.
I could go on and on, but I really wanted to extend my respect to you and your business and your sense of being.
You're recipes can't HELP but turn out good! Lol.
I hope I've expressed it correctly and fully. I'm for sure subscribing to your channel!
Bless!
I love your simple recipes. I love how you share your faith. Our country needs hope. I do pray for this country every day. I am sorry for the loss of your husband. God is your peace. 🙏

I'm from California and I love your recipe on the two ingredients biscuits and I just love how you added Jesus Christ in the conversation in the kitchen we have to represent our Lord in any way we can, Lord Bless your heart and don't let any negativity touch your heart because there will always be haters. Just do what you do in the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN 🙏♥..
Thank you not only for your instruction for making yummy biscuits but for your testimony of the founding of our country by God. Just so you know, our family always prays for our nation and our people. I was so happy to see that there are others who also realize how important it is to keep God in our country by keeping Him in our lives.
So nice to hear testimony for our Lord!! Praying hard for our hurting naton! God Bless You!
My Dad was a cook in the Navy during WWII. His speciality was homemade biscuits and cornbreads! We grew up eating homemade breads every day! I have tried but have not been able to master his techniques. I will give this a try. You can’t go wrong with only two ingredients! Lol!
Praying for this country every day! God’s will be done. Thank you for the message! God bless you and your family during this special time of the year.
I want to try this cooking them on a picnic in Upstate SC.
When I was a kid my mother made homemade biscuts. Somewhere I ate and got the idea store bought was better. Brown and serve, yes.
So at some point my mother stopped cooking homemade biscuits. And now, a widowed man in his early 60's, I have the time and space to feel so guilty about not being a perfect son, husband, brother, man, and person.
Today is the fifth year since my wife died. I have since moved back to Greenville SC and am trying to find peace in life.
I just ordered a wood burning camping stove. I'd like to try and make these biscuits on a solo picnic to a waterfall my late best friend and I named in honor of my mother.
Thank you for giving me a purpose and mission to get through today
Michael
BLESS YOU! My wife discovered you today and we so enjoyed the inspiration AND the cabbage recipe!
Lord I remember the biscuits that my dad made! Probably the best biscuits I ever ate in my life except of course those from his mother, my grandmother. I appreciated the end comments about the Lord. I learned about biscuits here and got to hear good words about the God above. Thanx.
Now this is a biscuit i can make!! And those prayer tips and practices are perfect and necessary! Thanks for your ministry!
Amen and Amen!
I really enjoy your teaching in the kitchen. Ive learned so much and i like to eat lol😂 so thanks for your channel. We ( granddaughters) are learning so much. My mom who cooked very well passed 2 weeks after i turned 5 yrs. So i could not cook, but im learning and allowing my granddaughters to watch and learn. My God of Creation bless your channel! Amen
Miss Becky , thank you for acting on your faith . You are working for the Lord . Faith without works is dead faith . May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you and your family . Bless you .
