looks nice and easy and I'm tempted to try but I'm curious about the longevity of the connectors that you put on and if they leak at all compared to a premade hose you can buy in the store?
An understandable concern. But the brass connectors are very stout. Ive actually had issues with some that came on the hose before. As long as you tighen the clamp adequately the connection seems just fine.
The first thing to fail would be the hose itself where it meets the connector since there is no strain relief. If that happens you can simply cut off a few inches and reattach the connector.

The parts would be found in the area near the hoses. Male and female ends.

@@thehandyhomeowner9781 what about putting some epoxy such as jb-weld between the brass connector and hose. Would that make it even stronger?
I’ve got to do something similar today. It seems simple but not looking forward to it. I really don’t want to pay $50 for a garden hose
