Very long story short - in the first Arkham Asylum game, Joker used a serum to give himself super-powers that infected his blood. In Arkham City, Joker used his infected blood to poison Batman as well as a hospital's blood supply. Between Arkham City and Arkham Knight, Batman destroyed the tainted blood at the hospital but four people were infected by it. In Arkham Knight, Batman gathered up the four infected and determined that eventually the poisoned blood would drive them all insane and make everyone infected think like Joker. Batman was still infected from Arkham City, so he is considered the '5th' person who could become the new Joker. Each infected person believed they would be the best Joker and wanted to kill all the other infected - that's why the man with the gun shot all the other people. But when he sees that Batman is infected, he believes Batman would become the greatest Joker of all ('you're going to be... spectacular') so he destroyed himself.
I just have one question, something that escaped me: If batman was infected with the "joker virus", how/why it didn't get the best of batman? Because I can't remember batman drinking like an antidote for the virus in this game...
Imagine two beings living inside of one body, and the one who controls the body is the one who has more willpower. When the joker virus started influencing batman's mind to become more like joker, joker's willpower became stronger over time and batman couldn't suppress this because his mind was focusing on too many things aka Other joker victims, Scarecrow and Arkham Knight. However when batman could solely focus on just the joker's influence he overpowered it with his superior willpower and thus sealing away joker. Just my guess though.

I kinda see the joker not as the hallucination of joker but as the hallucination of the personification of the darker side of batman. This hallucination is the bat mans fear that he could turn in to the next joker if he ever killed. Because if you think about it the joker is pushing and pushing for him to kill, trying to mild him into the next joker. So I see why they had him in the game, to play the joker but not solely as that but also as the hallucination of what batman fears he could become because of his infected blood.
I like to think that each of the 4 people infected with joker's DNA got a part of him in some aspect. Albert King inherited Joker's brutality Christina Bell inherited Joker's unpredictable nature. Johnny Charisma inherited Joker's sense of humor and showmanship. And Henry Adams, the most dangerous of the four, inherited Joker's cunning, manipulation, and sociopathic nature.

It took Rocksteady balls to kill the Joker in Arkham City, but they didn't stick with their guns so the Joker comes off as a crutch. No one is denying the Joker is great in Arkham Knight, but most were ready to see another bad guy to take up the mantle of "the main villain." Arkham Origins is guilty of this too.

I think that each of the infected take on a specific trait(s) of the Joker's personality while also adding on their own traits like with Henry having the ruthless, manipulative, and calculating traits of the Joker but still saying these scientific things related to his background of being a biology teacher. With Batman, however, he knows the Joker better than anyone. His knowledge and memories of Joker resulted in his Joker personality being a near-perfect copy of the original's while also adding on his own feelings and violent tendencies, which he always has restrained.
I know some people ripped this game for having basically the same plot and motivation as the last one, but DAYUM, I absolutely love the idea of Joker being Batman's sidekick. Constant test of morality, sanity being judged, reality shifting and warping with your Joker-crazy laced hallucinations... BatJoker is awesome xD
The game play and story was good. As the game felt so smooth and great to control. The things that let it down is they spooned fed us that it was Jason under the Arkham mask. They relied to heavyly on the batmobile. And with practically nearly every major batman villain in the game was not one great boss fights. All boss fights was either a tank mission or stealth takedown henchman. Was very poor choice not to have a single proper boss fight Even with deathstroke at the very end is the 100th tank mission. When him and batman fighting abilities are nearly evenly matched. And they went with another tank mission was incredibly lazy.
even at the end of the game batman is still infected he just used his sheer willpower to overcome joker and locked him deep within his self conscious so bruce is just a time bomb really he can't keep joker locked up forever, which makes me think is there gonna be another arkham game? plus there's the whole Harley being pregnant thing and lex luthor and superman being mentioned in the game there's so much more they could explore with this series

In Arkham City they searched for the cure because Titan poisoning was lethal, that's how Joker died. The cure worked to cure Titan poisoning, but somehow the mixture of Jokers blood and Titan turns other people into Joker because prftldtldfltltl plot, and they don't have the cure for that yet.
Presumably batman and joker contained enough blood to eventually be lethal, which was why batman looked for a cure. Henry and the patients likely didn't have enough to kill them, but to turn them into Joker in the long run.
Theres something so chilling to me about Joker finally breaking Robin down to reveal who Batman is and killing him before he even says it. Just broke him cause he could, never even cared about who Batman is. Thatd spoil the fun
Now I imagine if these sets of events were shown in a live-action (BATMAN) show series; They would be setup as the final days of Bruce Wayne’s life as Batman, which I imagine he would be in his early 50’s of age, that is when he gets infected with (The Joker’s) blood, and then a month later he has to deal with all the intense problems. In addition then much later (Bruce Wayne) aka Batman is forced to end his own life in order to keep everyone safe. But I imagine that is just the end of the live-action (BATMAN) show series, and yet I imagine before those events come to be, he has allot of adventures, and many fights with allot of different types of villains. Plus to add I imagine that one of Batman’s amazing fights, leaves a few mysteries behind, and leaves Batman with a question as well. An that question is, which one of his sidekicks, has the potential to become a really good Batman, but that is when he himself (Bruce Wayne) aka Batman is gone.

Don’t think of the cure in Arkham city as chemo. Let’s say for example someone got a blood transfusion from someone with HIV then took a cure for it,(I know there’s no cure for HIV but I’m just saying if there were) that would only destroy the virus not the donors DNA. When someone gets a blood transfusion the donor blood won’t rewrite someone’s DNA but degrade over time. However Joker’s blood is not degradable and works like the essence transference virus in Star Wars. A Sith named Darth Tenebrous injection himself with a serum that mutated his DNA. Tenebrous’ contingency plan was after his apprentice killed him his blood would be released into the air as vapor. When inhaled by anyone close by it would rewrite their DNA which opens the door for his spirit to enter someone’s body. Do you really think if Joker took the cure in Arkham city he would go back to looking like how he was before when he was the Red Hood?

In Arkham City they searched for the cure because Titan poisoning was lethal, that's how Joker died. The cure worked to cure Titan poisoning, but somehow the mixture of Jokers blood and Titan turns other people into Joker because prftldtldfltltl plot, and they don't have the cure for that yet.
Presumably batman and joker contained enough blood to eventually be lethal, which was why batman looked for a cure. Henry and the patients likely didn't have enough to kill them, but to turn them into Joker in the long run.
Its so weird knowing that this Harley is the same one who kills this Batman in SS KTJL.

always thought of what if Joker was a split personality of Batman, he had been fighting himself mentally all along
Now I imagine if these sets of events were shown in a live-action (BATMAN) show series; They would be setup as the final days of Bruce Wayne’s life as Batman, which I imagine he would be in his early 50’s of age, that is when he gets infected with (The Joker’s) blood, and then a month later he has to deal with all the intense problems.
In addition then much later (Bruce Wayne) aka Batman is forced to end his own life in order to keep everyone safe.
But I imagine that is just the end of the live-action (BATMAN) show series, and yet I imagine before those events come to be, he has allot of adventures, and many fights with allot of different types of villains.
Plus to add I imagine that one of Batman’s amazing fights, leaves a few mysteries behind, and leaves Batman with a question as well.
An that question is, which one of his sidekicks, has the potential to become a really good Batman, but that is when he himself (Bruce Wayne) aka Batman is gone.

Kelvin Heng Well, he's under the influence by the Joker, with those hallucinations of his. He's more brutal in Arkham Knight than he was in any other Arkham game, because of Joker's death in City. It caused an emotional breakdown which corrupted Batman's mind and drove him insane.

Don’t think of the cure in Arkham city as chemo. Let’s say for example someone got a blood transfusion from someone with HIV then took a cure for it,(I know there’s no cure for HIV but I’m just saying if there were) that would only destroy the virus not the donors DNA. When someone gets a blood transfusion the donor blood won’t rewrite someone’s DNA but degrade over time. However Joker’s blood is not degradable and works like the essence transference virus in Star Wars. A Sith named Darth Tenebrous injection himself with a serum that mutated his DNA. Tenebrous’ contingency plan was after his apprentice killed him his blood would be released into the air as vapor. When inhaled by anyone close by it would rewrite their DNA which opens the door for his spirit to enter someone’s body. Do you really think if Joker took the cure in Arkham city he would go back to looking like how he was before when he was the Red Hood?
