Sea Idyll was painted using two models who were brother and sister and appear in his work before 1908.
The boy here appears rather often in other pieces like the boy washing his horse and elsewhere. His sister is in some other works but
    appears less often.
Sorolla loved to use a large box camera and captured many of the images so it made it possible to finish up work in the studio.
What is neat to see in his work is that the scenes are not made up - Sorolla rarely paid models but simply went to
the beach of Valencia and caught what he saw. It is a window on the world long gone of some 112 years ago.

@@ViannaSzabo No, thank you for putting this up for all of us. One day, I hope to see the Sorolla art museum in Spain. I have been in love with his work since I first discovered his art when I was about 13.
Sorolla made good money painting portraits of wealthy people but I imagine he was bored doing them but he couldn't say no to the cash which let him and his wife and their children live in comfort.
