Montel Williams Show - Intersex Episode

This is an old intersex episode of the Montel Williams show in 2002. I missed the first part of it to record and the quality is not the best, but what you can see is worth watching. This particular show introduced me to what intersex was and put me on the journey of learning everything i could about my intersex self.

I first learned of intersex when watching the now discontinued Sally Jesse Raphael show. This Dr. Howard Devore was on the show. Someone asked him how he got into this field. He then disclosed he was born intersex. I think the whole audience and myself included guffawed. I had to lift my jaw off the floor. this very masculine looking man just declared he was born intersex?? He was very different from the other guets who were intersex. I was confused as to what that even meant!! I did notice his personality seemed very nurturing when counseling people. Most men are not that nurturing. So perhaps that's part of his intersex personality he's talking about. thanks for posting this. I would have missed it entirely.

I couldn't gauge the father. He looked so glum but he was on the show so that says a lot. For a moment, I thought she was going to tell me she's a chimera, like a merge between a male and female twin.
