Kobe's friends need to understand that Emily is not African. It's Kobe's responsibility to teach her his culture if it's so important. Clearly Kobe has accepted his wife for who she is. They're giving her such a hard time for being an American white woman.

I know Emily can be strong minded but, Coby needs to get a hold of his friends and protect Emily in this situation. Those friends could even be jealous of Coby and he doesn’t realize it. And I’m saying that as an African woman living in the US now. I wouldn’t even give them a time of the day.

Emily has really done things and treated Kobe in ways I find highly disrespectful, but I do recognize some of that may be a matter of opinion. I have not been perfect to my husband either, but I do respect him as he respects me- that’s one line we just don’t ever cross. Well, knowingly or intentionally and intent can sometimes be everything!! Of course what might feel disrespectful to me might not be to someone else.
Overall though, in the grand scheme of things, I do like this couple and want to see them make it!! I know a lot of this is cultural and maybe Emily should’ve studied the culture a bit but truthfully, I don’t think that’d make a difference!! She cannot win here. The men have no desire to support this marriage, she will never be the wife they think their friend should have!!

Even saying in front of them that he shouldn’t have his friends over at his wedding is ridiculous. She already had all her friends and family in the American wedding without him dictating anything. This woman is controlling and disrespectful and think that what she has to say or want is more important than her husband. Really horrible wife. He didn’t see them for years and is there for a short period of time. Just put on a face and support him. Also didn’t it cross her mind that they think this about her because of the previous season where she nagged him, belittled him, and bossed him around? Girl redeem yourself. Oh no it is not. I don't know where many of the people commenting here are from. But I am a Nigerian and Kobe is Anglophone Cameroonian (the English speaking part) that used to be part of Nigeria (SE part) before the British redrew the boundary line and put the area in Francophone (French speaking) Cameroon. If this was a Cameroonian or Nigerian woman who said his friend will not attend the wedding. That friend WILL NOT attend the wedding. She would have garnered up her own friends AND family and counter. None of his friends would have spoken to his wife in that manner - trust me. That fool of a friend is doing that for two reasons: one he is on camera (probably has never been on tv before, let alone on an international program where he is given such latitude to speak drivel); second, Kobe's wife is a foreigner and WHITE and very clueless of her environment. How can Kobe take her and her family to his country and allow her to be so disrespected by his friends. They even blamed her for him leaving his former girlfriend in Cameroon because of her, what arrant nonsense? Kobe forgets that he is coming back to the US - to Emily's country? 😡😡
