some people have asked why the "Nike" branding is important to some but not others.. If you were around at the time Nike had several bad ass shoes as well as other brands, LA gear, Converse, The Pump :)..ect Jordans weren't thought of as "Jordan Brand" it was Nikes most bad ass offering..the Air Jordan.. as a kid you obsessed over the commercials, ads, the pair your friend has.. that nike logo is burned into your memory..

This is definitely a double up worthy pair of shoes. My favorite jordan ever made and possibly the most iconic to ever drop. Glad to see the nike air branding finally on them, it had to happen.
Wasn't gonna pull the trigger because I got the 2014 pair still icy but these Grails for me and they look better and better in every video definitely copping.

Great review as usual. I have noticed that the contrast heel on these seems to vary from pair to pair, or maybe it just depends on the lighting. Either way can’t wait to double up on these.

Wish they gave us leather on the back portion of the shoe but this is the closest to OGwe’ve seen since 2000. Also glad to see the ankle padding return. Great work Marv
I’ve heard inconsistencies with pairs having the heel contrast and ones that look like mine. It might be a QC issue.
i just the saw the 🍞 4's too on sneakerdetroit.. i was waiting for those the moment the cement 4's were announced to coming back around the corner again with nike air on the back.. i was like, come onnn release the playoffs again with nike air too.. a year passed, 2, 3.. i was like, "sighs" 😔 it's no hope.. but when i finally saw them via pics, it felt like a grail moment. i don't usually double up but i think i'm going to with those _and_ these infrared 6's.

Hey Mjo, Does it bother you that JB nails the "NIKE AIR" embroidery on the black metallic 5's in terms of the font but they do a half ass job with the embroidery on the maroon 6's and the recent black infrared 6's??....I just don't get the half ass embroidery like they're knocking off there own shit???

Yann /D go a half size down. I’m a wide footer who got my normal size and I still think it’s big lengthwise.
I hope i get my hands on these on the 16th. I got lucky getting the concords i hope i still got that luck come February 16th
Would you still recommended going true to size for a wide footer? I usually wear size 10.5 in Jordan 1s, 4s, and 5s, but wear an 11 in the Jordan 3.
I’m a wide footer as well and went my normal size I usually get. Still think I could go a half size down but because everything is a 10 on the shelf it just looks better to me. I’m OCD.
The only thing that would send these bad boys back to OG status would be the clear bottoms..never was a fan of the blues tinted soles in retros..the 2000 and 2010 pack kept it OG and look better imo...still gonna grab a pair. closest thing since the 2000 pair. thanks for sharing

I got lucky with the surprise drop, so I’m really excited to get mine in hand this week.
I didn’t show up close but I already had a factory flaw (scuff) on the toe. I’ll do comparisons next week but as far as insole, durapointex 🙌. Much more comfy!

Very nice shoes, one of my fav J6 colorways. I have a doubt, do the J3, 4, 5 and 6 use a different kind of glue or why do they smell that strong?

Im a purist.....thats why i never owned a pair of fire red 5's until they released them with the nike air branding on the heel and this was my first pair of infrared's since 2000 because they put the jumpman on the heel. As for the bluish icy soles i wish they went with the clear soles because i just think it throws off the flow of the shoe. just me though.

Should be okay but not like a boat. It’s really up to your foot but I honestly could’ve sufficed with a half size down.

Waiting on my pair. Was lucky enough to get the shock drop.....though I didn't realize I could've paid for faster shipping. LOL! I've wanted these since I was 14. Never could get a pair till now. All I need now is the Carmines and my AJ VI collection is complete. All I want are those 2 coloways. Can't wait to see the side by side comparison between original and the 2019.

Is there a big difference if I wore size 10 even if I am originally 9.5? My original size (9.5) sold out immediately and the closest size to mine is 10.
I am a wide footer who normally wears size 10 and I have a TON of room in the toebox. The shoes are long so I would highly suggest going down a half size instead of going up.

Couple things...
1. I was also very fortunate to have copped off of SNKRS during the shock drop. I just wish I had time to choose the earlier shipping method!
2. Honestly, the $200 price doesn't bother me for THIS specific model (it does for the other GR releases like the new Laneys, the new Lasers, etc.). Honestly, I'm glad that they changed the price from $220 to $200 for the Nike air treatment.
3. Anyway, dope video! Can't wait to get my pair in this week!

I feel like you kind of glazed over both the GS and men's pairs pictured in that pamphlet at ~2:15 being sample Reverse Infrareds lol. You mentioned them almost dropping the 2000s with a red Nike Air but they really almost dropped an entirely different shoe... with a red Nike Air.
Yup reverse Infrareds. Good catch. At this time they used sample pairs. They typically do with “first look” pairs on the retail level. They need to drop these too though.

I think materials are ok after having the green Gatorades I’m disappointed on all other materials on 6s. Even unc 6s are better materials.
Up charge isn’t just the 10 bucks as I had to pay roughly and an additional 13 bucks due to taxes in CT. So to answer the question though I paid it, it absolutely sucks! Shoe is 🔥
Man in style shoes are selling these for $285 smh... that’s a huge lift and other resellers are pricing time to around $300

Contact Nike’s customer service line and let them know. I’m sure there are available pairs out there somewhere they should be able to find you a replacement.
