  • Good morning everyone, today we are in Nha Trang, in the Long Son pagoda, Chua Long Son in Vietnamese, which represents one of the most venerated Buddhist temples in the province of Khanh Hoa.
It is a very lively and active monastery, with a community of resident monks and one of the most important Buddhist schools in Vietnam.
Restored several times since its construction in 1886, the pagoda is characterized by the traditional Taoist architectural style of the early 20th century.
A path of 152 steps leads to the top of the hill, where an imposing statue of a seated Buddha overlooks the temple area and the city itself.
Along the route there is a statue of the reclining Buddha with a plinth depicting monks and nuns who sacrificed their lives to protest against the corrupt regime of President Diem (1955-1963).
I'll leave you with the images... enjoy
