- The first episode of Series 52 of the legendary BBC Radio show see Jack Dee taking the reins full time following the sad passing of Humphrey Lyttleton. This episode was first aired November 2009
I always thought that Jack would make a good host, but I was wrong - he's a GREAT host! 😁
Agreed. I think he's great too
I think Jack Dee is a great host to ISIHAC but what surprised me somewhat, is that Stephen Fry was a _dreadful_ host to it and so fortunately, had a relatively brief stint as ISIHAC Chairperson!!
...from thence the humour arose!
Rubbish his an awful host
@@evieslovelychannelThe show need someone with the same dry, laid back sense of humour as Humphrey Lyttelton. Perfect choice.
I think Humph would approve .... Jack brings the appropriate degree of "droll and disdain" lol
Can't imagine anyone other than Jack doing this..he's been the perfect replacement .😊
This is the best version of one song to the tune of another. Bob Dylan and Demos Rousis. My goodness
Jack is superb! Perfection!
Great comedians. Loved the Goons and it led to this. Brilliant. ❤🤠❤🙏
Wonderful as ever.
I think Graham was one of the greatest comedians ever. Absolutely brilliant.
Its Graeme and he's still alive! - I agree with your comment though 🙂🙂🙂
Lovely to find this.... so many years ago. I was living in Lambeth until 2001
Wow.....did you get out at the right time
Jack Dee 'won' the host role after he, Stephen Fry and Rob Brydon each chaired two episodes in Series 51.
And they thought that satire was new.
That talk about a recession and a postal strike sounds very familiar to us in 2023!
A totally brilliant programme as always!
Thank you as always for posting!
First as RESIDENT host. He was one of the guest hosts in S51.
Yep, but I'm limited by how many letters I can have in the title. I have the other two episodes of him up as a guest host, too.
@@evieslovelychannel I was at the recording in Huddersfield, just before covid shutdown, in March 2020 - Tim's last show and the last that Iain Patterson wrote for - what an absolute fucking privilege.
Wow, incredible. What a privilege! I've only been the once to a live recording myself. Loved every minute
Jack is sheer brilliance! Worst ever host was Stephen Fry.
You are correct. He stank. The show has such a massive legacy and he had a red hot go at ruining it
Yes, but Fry's greatest contribution was his Uxbridge English Dictionary definition of Countryside as Killing Piers Morgan. Glorious!
It's spelled South Wark
Not sure what a Del Amitri song has to do with Phil Collins. The audience obviously thought they knew, mistaken as they were.
Never understood why people seemed happy that one of the best ever British drummers was unable to play the drums any more.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
