Bought two watches from you and I can’t believe how fast you ship! I appreciate it and I’ll always do business with you!
I just bought the Vacheron 1921 in pink gold 36.5mm on Monday. It's gorgeous!
That is such a gorgeous watch. Way outside of my budget though. Hope you enjoy it!
Incredible stuff Sam! Enjoy that gem of a piece.
The Longines 190th anniversary is another great alternative in my opinion for those looking for a dress watch around £2k. The dial is stunning and it wears perfectly on my 6.5inch wrist for reference.
Longines is killing it with quality watches at an affordable price.
Agreed with that watch. Just posted it on my Instagram last week. The engraved numerals are phenomenal. Not really much else like it in the price category.
@@5891jonathan hey buddy, About the same. Its giving some great features for lesser price (compared with other swiss).
Is there a Catch ? Or any demerits ?
Could not agree more. I have this watch and it’s lovely.
I love that Longines! Definitely getting one in the next month or so!
As usual you and your team bring us fantastics watches . Perfect pieces . Thank you Teddy.
That Glashutte PanoMaticLunar is gorgeous. Thanks for introducing me to it!
Thanks Teddy, love your videos, informative but drenched in a soothing calm. You are the eloquent yin to the ranting yang of other watch channels.
I have the exact Datejust you showed here. I inherited it from my Dad and it holds so much sentimental value, plus it looks good. When I wear it, it is like having my Dad by my side...
Phenomenal!
The Longines master collection annual calendar Moon phase is a fantastic option as well
Great video! Living in a quite rural area of the US, the only way I can see these beautiful watches is on CZcams channels such as yours. Thank you for showing these! I wish I could buy all of them! But I'm happy just admiring them from afar!
Teddy as usual great video. Interestingly enough between the tank and Reverso, for a steel option I have gone ahead with the tank must XL. For the reverso, targeting the tribute duo in rose gold, hopefully by end of this year 😊
I want them all! Thank you for profiling dress watches, a segment that I too believe will make a comeback. My favorite? The Piaget! It’s clean lines appeal to me so much.
Fantastic video Teddy! Thank you!
Teddy, I always learn from your interesting videos. On a recent trip to NYC, I purchased a Cartier Tank Must XL at the Tourneau store facing Bryant Park. You seem to always promote the Cartier Tank and this influenced my final decision, as I was casually watch browsing at the time...The store personnel treated me like royalty, and I am very happy with my purchase. I like the historic value of the design, and I feel that a luxury dress watch should have Roman numerals.
Chopard LUC from 2000's - hugely underrated dress watches, probably one of the best value for money in dress watch category nowadays
Teddy, your video was a masterful blend of horological haute couture and modern tech rivalry! Thanks for highlighting how dress watches are stylishly standing the test of time, proving to be the ultimate accessory in a world flooded with Royal Oak clones and smartwatches.
Would love to hear more about Blancpain, perhaps we can consider them the hidden gem of the dress watch world, a brand that was once the epitome of elegance in the late '80s and early '90s. Let's hope they won't be left unwound in future discussions!
You nailed this list! Awesome video - thanks!
Drooling at the collection... all great selections.
Hey Teddy, I really enjoy your videos. One thing that I don't think any watch channels talk about is servicing of luxury watches. No one really talks about it. It would be awesome if you could make some videos about the subject. Most people don't realise the costs involved and the time it takes. Thanks
Definitely agree with a lot of the picks on this list!
Also, I love your style and notice you did a collaboration with Hugo some time ago. It would be awesome if you did a video about some of your favourite suits and/or sports jackets and where you get some of your clothes and style inspiration.
I have an Omega Deville with a white dial and black strap. It has a 39.5 diameter which is a bit big for a traditional dress watch, but it does look great with a dark suit or a tux.
The Longines Sector Dial is great!
Great selection Teddy!
I love dressier watches and currently own a Reverso duoface (medium) and the Longines HODINKEE sector dial, but the Grand Seiko sbgw235 was probably the most beautiful watch I’ve owned and one I regret letting go. I much prefer my Reverso in most ways but that grand Seiko had something incredible about it and looked and wore great on the beads of rice bracelet (like a nicer datejust).
Astonishing review! Thank you
Love the Glashutte Original!!!!!
The Omega Constellation Globemaster is simply beautiful with that pie pan dial
Fantastic video as always, Teddy. I love GO and have heard you talk about the pano collection many times. But what about the Senator collection. I recently bought the Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase 40mm with white dial and it is a perfect dressy watch that is also very versatile for every day office wear. I highly recommend!
Just bought a Cartier Tank Must Large a month ago. The XL fit my wrist, but I preferred the simpler, no-date face of the smaller option. Also, in this instance, I think quartz is a benefit as I won't be wearing this piece everyday. So I won't have to worry about resetting it each time I go to put it on. Love it!!
I decided on the Must XL over the large. The 1847MC movement is used in many of Cartier’s higher end watches and for $3,700 I couldn’t let this one go. However, I dislike the date window but try to ignore it. Also, excepting some beater Casios, I can no longer buy anything quartz.
Just got mine last week and honestly was surprised how much was being offered for the price. Not just the in-house movement but also the Guilloché pattern on dial is of the done by hand variety, the steel blues hands and actually heat treated. Really this is a very good value proposition by Cartier
I got the Tank Must xl a few years ago (when it first came out) and its the watch i get the most compliments on. I have several Rolexes, Omega, Tudor and a Pano from GO, but the Cartier has a certain pizazz to it.
and to add to that, its a two handed watch so automatic or not, one doesn't get to enjoy the sweep seconds.
@@patrickelrafih other than it’s XL size, the two man differences in the must XL version are a date at six and the third hand. Both the small and large sizes don’t get those.
Great Video as always, Teddy.
Incredible set of items!
This video pretty much sums up my current dilemma. I am getting married in 9 months. I have spent already 3 months trying to find a dress watch for said wedding, something I can keep forever and live in the collection as a commemorative piece but it is impossible. Many of these options are on my list-in addition to the Parmigiani Fluerier 1950, which at £11,000 has the best looking movement money can buy.
One thing to mention on the VC 1921. When shopping at VC I was told the off centre dial was created not for driving, but for C-suite/execs. It was considered rude to check the time during speeches, meeting etc. So VC positioned the dial so that whilst the hands are resting in front of you, at a quick glance you can track the time, and the time of your speech… thats what i was told anyway. Still what an incredible watch.
Teddy has abit of "American Psycho" vibe
Just don’t show him your superior business card.
"Wow nice watch....let's see Paul Allen's watch".
☠️😂😂😂😂
It's the turtle neck + blazer combo 🤣
I recommend you don't tell him you managed to get a table at Dorsia...
High horology stuff. My favorites are JLC Reverso, Glashutte Original, and the Globemaster.
Nice collection of significant dress watches. For me, the Lange 1 wins. Gotta love the design and wonderful details!
Finally someone talking about the piaget altiplano!!!
Top 🔝 coole uhr feier das Gehäuse especially die kanten 💪🏼 super Video
The VC 1921 is one of my grails. Incredible!
The H. Moser Pioneer center seconds is just right if you're into having a grand Seiko that isn't a grand Seiko and have 13k lying around.
Seriously those dials are triple chef's kiss.
Love dress watches over all others, on my way to a wedding this St. Patrick's day and wearing my Tudor 1926 41mm Opaline.
Ah oh. The turtleneck is back. Absolutely love your content Teddy. Congrats on your success. Let us know when the ice blue PRX is in stock. Thank you, sir.
Great video Teddy! I would wear all of them.
Dress watches are an excellent category for a vintage piece. They are generally more affordable than their vintage sport watch counterparts, making it easier to pay a slight premium to a reputable dealer. 50s or 60s manual wind movements from Omega or Longines are excellent, and the watches themselves come in all variety of case and dial designs.
tank must is my favorite watch of all time! I got one on my honey moon. works casual and dressy!
Brilliant presentation!
I wanted a reverso but they jacked up the price so much recently that tank is much more obtainable.
Teddy i missed Girard-Perregaux 1966. Girard-Perregaux is one of the oldest Watch manufacturers from Switzerland really overlooked.
That might be one of the best collection of watches I have ever seen.
All gorgeous choices but that Vacheron is a thing of beauty and a conversation piece.
How small did Ali make that Tank look.
Nice video 👌🏻
I’d definitely have A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Moon Phase in rose gold/black dial on this list..very likely the best moon phase on the market now
I have a globemaster in steel / sedna gold. Superb looking watch, well pleased with it.
Teddy, I agree with you starting out with Longines on this topic of dress watches. However, in addition to the Longines Heritage Classic Sector Dial, I think you also need to consider both the Quartz and Automatic versions of the Gold PVD and Stainless Steel models of the La Grande Classique de Longines. Both of these are less than $2,000 and are very elegant and classic in style for dress watches. Not enough is not talked about this model of Longines luxury dress watches.
The best in elegance, design, provenance, engineering, finishing, materials and brands.
This is the province of the dress watch and it is no wonder that so many of these are favourties
Q: You know what we used to call dress watches in the 1980s?
A: “watches”
Thanks it's very useful.
Great video Teddy! I love dress watches as much as you do. Ideo suggestion: maybe Go Anywhere, Do Anything dress watches that are shock and water resistant enough for daily wear?
All good stuff, big fan of dress watches too. By the way, about that Vacheron Driver's Historique watch, it only makes sense if you wear it UNDER your wrist. That way with your hands on the wheel, you can read the time properly. One rarely needs more than a dress watch, IMO.
The omega CK859 is the one for me. Just timeless.
Teddy, honestly my english is not so good but I would like to share my feeling on omega globemaster which I finally bought last week as one of my 'apostles' collection. It's outlook is subtle but exuding an unique and light luxury temperment, three links bracelet looks simple but perfect match with the case, what a great integrated design, 3D pie pan dial is so vintage, not just appreance is nice but putting bracelet on my 6.25 inch wrist is so comfortable, of course equipping with higher level 8900 co-axal movement is bonus which making this new apostle possess both external and internal beauty, agree with you that he is underated.
Anyway thx again Teddy, I got what I want after looking yr another globemaster review 😊
Congrats on the new watch man, btw your English is great!
Congrats on the new watch Peter and that excellent display of English!
@@TeddyBaldassarre Tks Teddy, yr another ball trainmaster review is also great and finally I bought it last year, I enjoy yr review with clear closeup and easy understanding prsentation, it tell me how to appreciate this watch. Super love it not because of its well known T23 light but its 60's vintage +elegant outlook - curve dial curve hands, onion crown, sapphire sandwish glass, engraved RR logo at second hand end and the clasp....... etc.
@@Shane756 😅
Thanks for your content! I love it. What do you think about the Patek Calatrava 5227J or the JLC Master Ultra Thin Small Seconds? I just find it a bit of a pity that the 5227J has a cover for the back and you need to open to see the movement. I’m also looking into the new Rolex 1908
Teddy congratulations on the watch collector's anthem 👏
Teddy, I really enjoy your content. You do a great job. I really hope that you do a video(s) about watches, dress or otherwise for people with large wrists. Most of your choices are under 40 mm (1921 and the F.P. Journe were 40mm). I have a 20cm wrist and most of these will not fit me. Thanks again for the content.
I agree with most of your selections. Especially Omega Constellation Globemaster. That is my watch. But I think you overlooked Cartier's Pasha De Cartier line. That is one of the best looking dress watches below 10k.
Some beautiful watches there.
Your list is quite comprehensive. The AP Code 11:59 line also offers some great dress pieces.
Best Teddy Baldassare video till date.
Hey Teddy,
I think it would be helpful to put something out detailing the difference between a dress watch and sport watch. I know the basic idea of each and some watches cross over but it seems to not be very well operationally defined. Maybe it’s up to personal preference but outside of a diver, chrono what makes a watch a ‘sport’ watch.
I dont dress up often, and im not into square watches, but i do love a reverso. I'm not a fan of the tank, I'd rather a ballon bleu. Great video giving people great options.
Baume and Mercer made a sexy watch there! Great selection as always Teddy
Hi Teddy worth spending the extra money for the Omega annual calendar or just stick to the regular globemaster? Thanks and great video as always
The Glashutte Original Panomatic is a real sleeper... great choice
Would love to see another video of watches for larger wrists
Thank you for this "BLAST" video. Every watch is a blast for my eyes and for my heart. I am glad that you present so many watches in the luxury dress segment. i will always support you about the reverso JLC. If some body has the ressources and want a luxury REVERSO all is availaible. Gold case, one Dial on each face, all the complications you wish (moon phase, calendar, chronograph) Of course the bill is not 10 000 $ but between 300 K$ and 500 K$ . Can you tell me if BLANCPAIN is still at the top or if the manufacture is closed ????
That B&M watch is highly underrated. Beautiful piece with subtle class, excellent sizing, and amazing movement
Hi Teddy, have you taken a look at the Saxonia moonphase?
My first real purchase will be the Omega Planet Ocean, because that's the watch that got me into mechanical watches. I have wanted it for 15 years. However, I need a dressier watch (lawyer) because sometimes a PO is not appropriate. My problem is that I don't really like the aesthetic of most dress watches within reasonable price range. The passable dressier watches I like are the JLC Master Calendar, Ulysse Nardin Torpilleur Moon, and GO PanoLunar (dressier in comparison to the PO). Its hard to justify spending that much on something I don't like as much as the PO. But, I really like the idea of having something a little more bespoke & handmade than something mass market like a rolex or omega. Can you recommend something around $3-7k? I really like a moonphase complication, and I think it would be really cool to have with a GMT on the same dial. Is there GMT-moonphase in this price range? If I really had to, I would just fall back on the Globemaster or ceramic bezel Constellation, but I'm not smitten like I am with the PO.
Saxonia Thin in the copper blue 🤩
For Longines, the Flagship Heritage should have been the pick. Much classier, with the iconic small seconds and the beautiful cream dial. 38mm is also a very versatile size m
I wore a classic, classy Grand Seiko today. I need ALL the Cartier. All of them
Nice one Teddy
Just as a reminder, the prices can vary quite a lot from place to place.
Here in Norway, a brand new Cartier Tank Must XL costs Kr 64 500 (NOK) or $6247.46 (USD) according to exchange rates registered at 10.01.2024 17:08
Teddy, just but 2 Seiko watches from your site, the SPB121 & SPB155. Can’t wait to get them. Just curious, what do you think about the Davosa brand as a luxury watch. I own two.
Longines master collection 39mm should be in here surely Teddy?! Surely!
Call me crazy I am in love with Baume Et Mercier and I love it more than any other watch
Batman wore the reverso so im sold baby
Hoping Teddy does a Top 10 Turtlenecks to Consider for April 1st.
I'm a believer in Luxury is in how you use it. With that said what's the top 5 hard use tool watches under $10k are the new submariners as tough as they use to be? Perhaps a panerai? I love the old rolexes built to take a beating however the loss of water resistance is a concern as the watch would be underwater as well.
Longines is one of, if not the, greatest value for money watch brand in existence. Pure class.
All great choices. VC 1921 is the best looking ❤
Amazing
I am deciding between the Cartier Tank Must and the Rolex Datejust Wimbledon. The Tank is just a classic.
Your next vid should be a post blaze vid where you’re in a hoodie and shorts and backwards baseball cap and talk about quartz watches only tyvm ❤
I love that you commend Longines for doing what Tudor does, yet unlike Tudor it gets none of the props for, rather unfairly. Based on my experience and those who I know working at the company, I've been saying for years that Longines movements are jointly manufactured (parts and assembly) by ETA and Longines at the Longines site itself. It is, for all intent and purposes, in house.
Vacheron Constantin 16:04 Check out the angle of the hand. A biker might wear it like that, an automobile driver perhaps would wear it on the inside of the wrist. The large steering wheels were held at 20 to 4 not 10 to 2.
Please make a review on Credor brand Ted. Thank you..
Thoughts on the Blancpain villeret collection for dress watches?
I’d say H. Moser Endeavour. Their fume dials are simply amazing.
Teddy has single-handedly made me want to buy a turtleneck and a blazer.
The video with Journe’s brother is so good..
Damn! I have several of these watches! I have the Rolex Datejust 2 (41mm), I have the GO Panomatic Lunar, the Globemaster blue dial with rose gold bezel and crown, and I have the Cartier Tank Must xl. I guess that means I like dress watches.
My favourite is the Vacheron constantin
