The amount of panic here is utterly baffling and overblown. Performance levels have naturally dropped since winning the league, just as in previous eras, but there will predictably be a return to better form if not before the final, then certainly for it. The treble will then be won and the team strengthened in the summer. Chill out. The End.
Its more to do with the absence of CCV and AJ rather than end of season lag.
I donât think anyone is panicking but you canât simply dismiss poor results, the guys who ange put in against huns shouldâve been desperate to put a performance in but they didnât, then same again yesterday. We have another cl campaign coming up and without ccv and Johnstone we donât look good enough to compete even in the league. Stop being so ignorant then telling fans not to panic lol
Clearly the team has regressed from earlier in the season. This has not just happened it began about two months ago. The good news is we have already won the League Cup and League and it will be a major shock if we cannot beat ICT for the Scottish Cup and Ange has a whole summer to improve the squad. In any case Ange was clearly experimenting by playing Iwata as CB. The slump in form is disappointing but let's wait until the start of next season when our fans excitement will surely return with a freshened-up squad. đđđŽó §ó ąó łó Łó Žó ż
We have been poor for weeks but getting away with it cause other teams are shit in the league unless we sign some good players next season. We are getting destroyed in the champions league and if anyone thinks we wonât are delusional
Our performances haven't been at the level they've been at in the last 18 months since Aberdeen 4-0 apart from Hearts in the cup. The results were there, or just about and penalties or red cards for the likes of Hibs, St Mirren & Hearts got us over the line. Results happen don't expect a win every game but think a performance should be stable more than results. The last 3 results are signs of how we've been playing & that's the truth and how we miss CCV & Johnsone at the back magnifies how poor our defence is without them 2. If we just show up against Inverness, although every fan will be happy about the treble just shows they put the foot off the gas for last 8 or so games and people paying money to go watch them haven't got their moneys worth

As usual the Summer will be interesting. Ange will see for himself that he needs to strengthen the squad to be competitive in Europe and move on those he deems not good enough.
I just miss the free-flowing exciting football - the results are not great but it's how they are playing that is hard to watch - as we know they can be so much better. Hopefully, they will turn up for the cup final !

Thanks guys. Disappointed with the result and performance. The team look exhausted...Calmac has played far too many minutes again but he stepped up today and salvaged us a point. Kenny is spot on , I have been concerned about our reliance on CCV and it needs addressing in the Summer. Definitely need some reinforcements. Hope this is a blip and that we get some form back asap . This cup final is crucial and the bhoys need to be up for it đȘđđđâ

Been glaring all season, for a couple of seasons now we have needed a quality LCB and LB
Clearout needed - Hart, Kobayashi, Haksabanovic, Bernabai, Forrest, Iwata, Turnball, McCarthy, Ajeti, Barkas,
Stick Maeda on to that list as well.
I'd keep Hacks n Iwata coz I think they can be coached into their full potential and have quality in them .. the rest I agree get rid ..

I thought the lads were standing in front of a big green gassworks ! I have said it before and after the POTY rankings were decided ! CCV is without doubt Celtic's most valuable player. I get the Koyogo adulation, but just look what happens each time Cameron is not available. We loose or draw games.

Iwata has played many games in defence back in Japan. He came over as defender and a defensive midfield player, so will be playing both positions potentially, but Ange sees him as minefield going forward I guess.
Saying players aren't good enough is shocking statement, as we need to get squad players minutes and they can possibly get settled in and push on. Again we'll sell some the summer and hopefully get 2 or 3 new faces in to bolster squad and improve ability
Feeling chuffed I picked the scoreline, 2-2, but was hoping I'd be wrong. Celtic always going to score but St Mirren come out to play and tbh Celtic are limping across the line...People are too romantic..."play your strongest 11", Ange was too a year ago...but the SPFL is a brutal league for beautiful football. Plastic pitches, refs who don't protect players.4-5 derbies a year that are kicking competitions..key players get serious injuries and Ange has worked out like a marathon runner you don't stop, but you can't sprint the whole race. He put daylight between Celtic and Rangers by CCV playing injured until the line was in sight but they are sucking in some deep breaths now. They'll put in a final burst for the cup, don't fret!
Ange must take some blame for today the late subs when we didn't look like performing, miada is terrible at times but still gets regular game time , we need quality players in this summer and a would say a strong CM that can get in about teams
Maeda can't take on a player, he cant pass and he can't cross a ball. Oh ! I forgot, he is good at defending but that does not get us goals.
Two of the times we have beaten St Mirren they only had ten men.
I just hope that the team get the next league games done without any new injuries, especially to Kyogo. We need everyone fit for Hampden.

The only tall player capable of geading a goal from a corner is Starfelt. O'Riley is hopeless, Maeda is hopeless and the rest are hopeless at cross balls. So we never score.
A lack of physicality in the box, and lack of height amongst our squad, hopefully this will be recognised and rectified, it can be difficult to balance what is required domestically compared to European opposition, its an entirely different animal so we have to adapt and change our strategy for certain games.
It has been mentioned that Ange was reluctant to make changes sooner rather than the 70min mark, but clearly he had given them instructions at half time and it takes time to implement those changes dependant on how your opposition approaches the game too, so there will always be ifs or buts, to salvage a draw at home against a side with more physicality with our key defenders missing when the title has already been won is not the end of the world.
This is the time to see what works and what doesn't ahead of the final, and then give it our best shot with the players we have available on the day, remember we are a team of winners, make no mistake of that. HH
Weâll be up for the cup final but the last couple of weeks have been annoying. We need some major improvements if we want to make any mark in Europe next season, even in those positions where weâve been good this season.

In the ideal world weâd just carry on relentlessly and put all teams to the sword. But itâs football, it doesnât work that way. When I meet my objectives I take my foot off the gas, I guess thatâs what the team have done and who can blame them. Itâs been a hard dig. On the centre half issue why did we cut the season long loan deal of moritz jenz short in January? Played big games looked the part now doing well in Germany as well, wasnt sure about that at the time and its looking like mistake
He wanted to play games and get a new deal secured. You can't really do that from the bench. He would have been a great one to still have though.

When you play the relentless press Ange wants there is always going to be a few games where we don't fire.
I've said it loads Ange also has blind loyalty to guys like Maeda who is shocking against teams who just sit in.

Didnt really see us winning or drawing that game today , Wev been pretty lacklustre since the motherwell draw , that's 4 - 5 games bar a few important results wev been not ourselves , against hearts to win the title which was great and very happy by all means but we were not " lucky " I'd say fortunate they went down to 10 men. Defensively, celtic are woeful without ccv.
We waited too long to change it, its usually about the hour mark but we waited longer. Maeda should of been off sooner and didnt start to play until 70 minutes onwards.

As a minimum, we need a centre half, 2 full backs, and centre forward. A bit of muscle in midfield would be useful as well.

Totally agree with Kenny, we are on the verge of making history again, but what I don't get is why doesn't ange play with 2 strikers if he is such a fan of attacking football, Kyogo and OH could be deadly upfront together with someone like young Vata who can ping those crosses into the box for them to feed off, I think thats what were lacking just now someone who can play a defence splitting pass, no harm to the bhoys who are playing just now I just think young Vata having watched him playing for the b team a few times puts some incredible crosses into the box that Kyogo and big Oh would love to be on the end of. Just my thoughts, as growing up watching the Lisbon lions Roar we didn't play defensive attack was what we done, if you don't believe me just ask Inter,
I totally agree that the quality of the crosses into the box is pretty low in general. I've only seen Vata play when he's come in for the A side, but I've been impressed with his quality.

Pretty measured account of the game considering the reaction of other idiots. League is won, a cup has been won, another to be won, and it has to be won. One defeat and a draw and the bed wetters are out in force. Like the rest of us, I love our club, but a section of our support live in la la land, they would turn on anyone at the drop of a hat, or a point or two. Lenny was right when he said we had been spoiled, in relation to winning, and he was right. I dread to think how these fans will react when we are no longer on top, and it will happen.

Maeda surely cannot be a guaranteed start any more.... he's been woeful for weeks. Can't cross, cannae finish. OK, he runs about more than two average players, but what good is that when you are so poor where you are meant to be effective and one-dimensional?!!! The one good thing about these shocking results/performances since the split is that the interest from EPL clubs in taking Ange will have cooled. Massive transfer window coming up for us and please no more J league players cos for every Kyogo/Hatate you get a Kobayashi/Iwata.
