Delta 757-300 Comparing current First class and Comfort plus food offerings

- I recently flew on Delta from Orlando to Denver stopping in Atlanta. I was able to see what is currently being offered for food and drinks. In the next few weeks I will be flying Delta to see what changes and what they add to on board service. They said they will be adding things on April 14th so let's see if that happens! Stay tuned to find out how it stacks up to other airlines!

I booked delta Comfort Plus mistakenly and I'm happy I did me and my lady enjoyed it. Thank you Delta for the great experience.
I love Delta flights and have flown Comfort+ but I decided to splurge (and they also had it discounted) and get first class! I've never flown first class before and I'm excited!

I've been flying Delta 1st class for 20 years. I don't play the upgrade game, I buy the 1st class tickets. The leg room is ok, if the person in front of you reclines, that sucks, it feels like they come back too far. The width of the seat and full armrest's on both sides is the primary benefit. A drink while boarding is nice The food and service are nice. I fly alot, not feeling like cattle makes it more bearable. Favorite airplane is 767 although the majority of my flying has been 757.
Comfort Plus is ok for small trips. ATL has lots of restaurants.
It would be much nicer if there was no music so that we could hear your better.

Just booked my son a first class ticket on Delta. His first flight! He’s spoiled! Lol! Unfortunately he’s not old enough to drink 😂 I will add if we did comfort plus it would have been the SAME cost as comfort with the baggage fees. First class had everything covered. So reassuring!
Nice, and he gets to fly in style! Sky priority through security will really help right now since passenger numbers are way up!
Even though the 757 is the longest single-aisle plane flying today, it was beaten by the Douglas DC-8-62/72 in the 70's and 80's. The 75 still holds the record for longest single aisle twin, though, as the DC-8 was a quad-jet.
I wish I was able to fly on those!

Debating whether I want to get First Class or Comfort+ on a 737-900ER from ATL to SJD. About 4.5 hours. Big difference in how many miles it takes. 32k vs 60k one way.
The food offerings haven't changed to much. Delta's new drink service was recently introduced but that is available to both Comfort+ and First class passengers. I'd save the miles. If you can get the first row left side, 10 A, B, or C, those seats have more legroom than first class. Bring some Panda express on board and you will have better food than first class too 🤣. Saves lots of miles!

I wanted to book first class due to blocking seats + thinking there would be less people in first class with pandemic but they already stopped that and the food probly isn't worth it even if they bring back the regular menu. So maybe comfort plus is worth it 🤔
Comfort plus is great value and always has been. The only other thing to consider with first is you get free checked bags and priority. But if those don't matter than comfort plus has fantastic value!
@@jmantravels I’d think the only difference between first class and Econ seats is leg room especially for overseas.
@@tinahuttner7280 there's a bunch of things that first comes with including extra legroom, wider seats, free checked bags, better meals and drinks, priority through the airport, and much more. International has extra benefits like lounge access. Overall first is a huge step up from Economy. But in my review I looked at Delta's domestic premium economy vs first class and hopefully you saw the value of comfort plus.

Did you do a mileage Run? I try to do comfort plus on longer flights. We plan to fly to PAR in July and was wondering about the service. We are also doing that dame ATL to DEN flight that you just did on comfort +
Yeah this trip was kinda a mileage run. I flew with my Aunt to Florida, then I flew home the same day. It was cheap and I got a good amount of miles.
Luckily being Platinum with Delta I get comfort plus when I book the flight which is super nice! I really enjoy the extra legroom.
Also! Keep an eye out on the ATL-DEN flights they have been running several widebodies every day as well as some 757s. It always makes the trip a bit more fun!

You have to book with the partner airline and credit to Delta. The percentages shown are a percent of distance flown based on fare class. It helps me earn status a lot faster! Have fun and thanks for watching!

First class is nice and I definitely enjoy the upgrades, but with the old food offerings it was not worth the money.

I flew first class on Delta for the first time in 2016 from Savannah to Chicago. The snacks were okay. I was pleasantly surprised that they were free while economy had to pay. They let you drink your weight in beverages. But I loved the roominess in the seats. I'm six feet tall and about football player sized. It felt great to come off the plane and not feel like a pretzel. So, from now on, I'm going first class!

Hey I have a question my friend is silver medallion so when do you ask to go to Delta comfort if there's stuff available do you call in the day before or do you ask upon check-in I don't know the answer or can you get moved to first class or whatever if their seats available do you have to ask and will they do it
So silver medallions get upgraded 24 hours in advance, if the seats are available. Usually they will hold the last 5 available seats for gate upgrades. So if there's a ton of seats open 24 hours before departure, and if upgrades are turned on in the app, then they will automatically get upgraded to whichever cabin has the space. Otherwise they will be put on the upgrade list and the gate agent will move people about 10 minutes before departure.

I'm platinum with Delta so I get comfort plus automatically when I book a flight and first class up to 5 days in advance.
