Hey, I wanted to say thanks for a really good series. Your retrospective videos were very well researched, opinionated, and informative, and really helped me understand a lot about this series that I didn't know. These are the types of vids you would expect from some of those big nintendo youtubers, so I think it's a real testament to your hard work and time that the quality and consistency of the videos remained so high and lovely even though you aren't being properly rewarded by the YT algorithm yet.

In four words: Mario Party is back.
Come to think of it, the lack of motion controls is kinda weird, isn't it? I don't even mean just in this game - motion controls are pretty close to 1:1 now, the technology is near-perfect... And NOW is when everyone decides to stop using it? Why did they even spend so much time trying to get us used to them in the first place , then?
I agree! We're still playing it fairly often over here. Definitely nice to have a normal Mario Party again. But yes, motion controls have been sorely missed.

I just took the time today to watch through your entire playlist, and it was worth it! As a Wii kid (born 2004) I never played the N64 and GameCube titles so this was really informative for me. Im playing through the N64 ones right now and thinking about getting Superstars...
Just finished the Mario Party Retrospective playlist. It's a crime you dont have 1k subs yet. Your Retrospectives are exactly what I like, they get to the point, well-paced, have a good mix of explaining what it is AND having your opinion,
You made me interested in MP7 as someone who gave up on Mario Party for a long time after the 5 capsule thing. Now if only the only legal way wasn't through buyign another Gamecube and finding friends whod be willing to play it..
Also Superstars actually made me excited to actually play Mario Party again. I actually hated Super Mario Party for its oversimplicity.
I felt this game would have done really well with one DLC update with a free board. And paid DLC characters

Actually they could’ve made adjustments anyway for the game keyboards because they went halfway with it with the bank space one of my ideas for Mario party would be to number the stars faces so you could strategize I’m getting multiple stars in one term since you can always anticipate where are the neck*space will be after someone call wax one another one of my ideas would be if Sun items give players that go first advantage to make them more expensive to buy
Those aren't bad ideas! And I totally agree the boards could have been redesigned to fit GameCube settings, but I don't think that was ever Nintendo's intention. I am interested to see if they announce the next Mario Party some time next year, I can totally see them milking this franchise again since superstars is getting close to 10 million copies sold already.

I actually disagree the gamecube boards and mario party 8 can work with the item system from these games it just needs some small changes and it would work just fine. They are still designed like regular mario part boards that can work with a different item system. To me it's like mario kart stages where there may be some changes from game to game but they can work when put into another game.
You're right, they COULD make those changes. I just understand why they didn't. Either way I'm hoping for another Mario Party in 2023. Since they're not doing updates or DLC I can see them milking this franchise like they used to back in the day.
@@NintenDeen if they do make a new one I hope they pull a mario kart with both new and old boards in the game. Cause the idea of retro boards just work so natural that I am surprised they haven't done it before.
personally I am very much opposed to giving coins to second and third place because it makes minigames take significantly longer.
