    My heartfelt Thanks to you stephAndrew! I wonder which company is best to license my product to, Crayola(American) or Copic(Japanies). I have an invention exactly related to their product line.

    I have had to learn the test thing for working with others too. Sadly I have only found a few people in life to team up with as far as work and then they decide they don't want to continue with that line of work. It's sad and frustrating. I have mostly tried to work with editors.

      It can be a tough situation, but discussing things in terms of the type of people you're dealing with and if you're on the same page (goal) really helps ❤

    Andrew, its hard to believe, but a division of 3M is interested in seeing my product. It's a good product, and perfect for their line, but I don't have much potential patent coverage on it. The claims would be novel and unobvious, but still weak I think. I worry that PTAB would just overrule any claims granted. 3M is huge and companies like that are usually very tough to license to. Most of the time, submission agreementsare written heavily in their favor. What are your thoughts?

    • @inventRight
      @inventRight  Před rokem +3

      Historically, we have never seen 3M license a product from an inventor.

    Do you have to pay money to message companies through LinkedIn?

    • @inventRight
      @inventRight  Před rokem +2

      No. You first have to connect with companies. Once they connect with you then you can send them a message.
      And in some situations you have to pay to connect with them. Basically meaning you need a premium account.

    I have a question about tradeshows. I have been working as a graphic designer /illustrator and light product designer for the baby bedding and decor industry for the last 13 years. I am not allowed to walk the trade shows in my industry for fear I will knock off competitors. How can I walk other tradeshow? You guys seem to encourage going. I am a invent right student - just signed up for the $29/month plan

      @inventRight  Před rokem +2

      Every industry is different. Sometimes companies you want to meet will help you get in.
      Sometimes they will give you a pass. Ask the people at the tradeshow what’s required.
