- Revision Zero has a ton to offer on the surface, but underneath there is even more. Let's dive into all the numbers and hidden details. A few things in here were user preference, but I hope all the info helps! I can't wait to unlock all the catalyst options to really make it go wild. Heads up, I don't typically do TTK calculations, but I did my best for the standards I thought applied to the other pulses on the Destiny Massive Breakdown's spreadsheet.

Oh and also, if you noticed in your video, the sniper mode DOES have dropoff. Since it uses pulse rifle range to judge the dropoff, the 100 range mode with Hunter's Trace IV and 2-burst move has 24.5 meters hipfire. That means due to the zoom of it being 50, the dropoff is 121.8875 meters. FYI, you can still maintain a OHKO in the head at 70 meters with roughly 231 damage dealt

Symmetry is my go to for Lion Rampant hipfire since all you need is 7 headshots and your alt fire mode has tracking shots you can hipfire that 2 tap.
That's a good point. I need to give Symmetry another go. I always liked the idea of the weapon, but never put any serious time into it.

Thank you! Hopefully I nailed all the info right. I'm really confident on all the damage numbers. TTK was the only thing that might be a slight bit off, but even that should be really close to the way DMB measured TTK for the spreadsheet given what I see on screen. :)

I’m thinking of running it with Arthur’s embrace
I’ve been running revision zero with athrys’s embrace. I’m already trying to stack headshots, so I get rewarded twice with a sniper shot and a juiced up throwing knife. The throwing knife also gives me radiant which is super cool. I just wish the solar bonus for elemental capacitor wasn’t reload speed, although reload speed on revision might actually not be that bad for swapping between hunters trace and normal pulse
Yeah it does struggle with the reload and swapping modes. I think that's why Outlaw and Feeding Frenzy are two of the special perks for it. I'm with you on solar hunters being a good fit. Feels awesome!
We know Elemental Capacitor is gonna make Strand Capacitor give some bonus to Airborne Efffectiveness. I can see some use for a build with Wings of Sacred Dawn with this pulse as not only you gain DR but free unflinching mod and +50 AE.

What if your void invis and using hipfire sniper, do you have red glint?
Also cool thing: This exotic's 2 burst mode has the same damage per burst as Graviton lance. FR Graviton Lance should be made into a 450 RPM 2 burst. It'd FINALLY get some use not to mention it actually has very very good stats

This pulse also shares the same trait as no time to explain in that it counts each bullet in the burst individually, so you can cancel a burst to conserve ammo. It's not THAT helpful, but I feel that it is worth noting for those who want to hyper-optimize their usage of this gun, plus, I just find it interesting.

Did you test the AE with stompees on?
Man I have a hard time using any other gun after rev zero. Even got me to put down V-Wing!
Hah! Definitely did not, I have a feeling that will be too much of an accuracy penalty. The rifle isn’t immune to bad AE, you just have to treat it like another primary. Definitely way better than a normal sniper though!

Hey! Merc (who designed it) said he set out for it to compete as a PvP gun, but he also wanted it to be useful in PvE. I think when we see the final form, it will very much be able to do both!

the best way at least for me to run hunters trace is to treat it like a slug shotgun
The impact stat does not exist on weapons whose archetype does not allow change already.
Yeah! Just thought I’d point it out as many people rely on the stat page as the truth (see fusion rifles 😅) so I figured I’d mention it.
in PvE I use the two-burst
Because on console you can control the recoil of two-burst better and for high-end the two-burst is better on range anyway
And you're more likely to hit 2 crits from a two-burst than 4 crits from a four-burst, especially on console+range+flinch

Hey that’s an interesting take! I’m on console too and felt different, but everyone is going to have a different preference for sure! :)
This gun is the DEFINITION of what a Destiny exotic should be
this is a bit of a hot take but I think Revision Zero had a lot of potential but from everything that I seen and used before seeing this video the gun has the most waisted potential. But, we don't have all the perks and stuff but the reason I feel this way is because its just not unique enough... well ok it is unique because its the most customizable exotic but that's where it ends really, its just a craftable exotic and we will possibly see more of this in Lightfall (bungie said they are making Hawkmoon and DMT craftable so ya). Im gonna stick to my arbalest or eriana's in pve content, the anti barrier is nice but Wish-Ender is already a hard hitting bow with anti-barrier and it too has infinite ammo. Pvp on the other hand this thing will be the meta for a while in trials and fall off. legendary 4 bursts are ok in pvp but hard to control if your getting a precision kill but Graviton Lance is iffy so the 2 burst of the gun is actually viable. Idk really but the one thing I hate the most about the gun is Bungie's weird timegate for the gun... like what? that really puts a sour taste in my mouth.
Lots of thoughts! I think the sniper part (especially with fourth times and how you can stow the weapon and take it back out) is going to be huge for future PvE stuff. Unlimited ammo with it.
For PvP, I get what you mean, it may only end up being a trick shot gun, but it’s still a really unique and rewarding experience.
The impact doesnt change, because impact is purely cosmetic
I just like pointing it out because some guns do change (fusions), so people expect it to if the damage changes.
I know this video is a year old but I just wanted to point out that the creator of the Revision Zero wanted the sniper mode to feel like sniping in Halo 1.
The Rev, is really good in PvP. Decent in PvE there are better choices!..
While your four burst knowledge is a lil off. 4 bursts in pvp are hella forgiving even IF you miss a few shots AND dont forget the flinch factor. 4 burst has STUPID flinch. If you can hit heads 4 burst is way better and since its built for it…. You get the idea. But i will say 2 burst is WAY better at longer ranges but as stability goes up the 4 burst will get better. So in short. 2 burst is better for laneing and peaking. 4 burst is better for open out and about agressive dueling.
If you miss a few shots in 4-burst your TTK goes down significantly. You could be peek shooting, and so like I said, it will depend on the player and the way they play.

I agree to a point. I want more info in game, but I also think Bungie has done a lot to put more and more in the game the past few seasons. Looking forward to more.
Personally Im not a big fan of Revision Zero. Its ok for Hero nightfalls but anything highter it just falls off as far as damage goes. I just recentlly did a Heist playlist and realized that the Funnelweb Ive had for like, ever, was doing tons more damage to everything, including the red bars that exotic primaries are supposed to excel at. For me it was just a huge disappointment, especially when taking into account the nearly 2 hours it took me too finish its exotic mission. (I suck at jump puzzles, lol)
That's interesting! For me, it's when I put it up against any double special loadout that it starts to fall short. If I'm worried about ammo though, I think this one will do really awesome in the high end content once we get Fourth Times The Charm

Resilience is non existent in pvp it doesn’t matter if you have 50 or 100 you’re still getting 2 shot by every thing from across the map
Revision Zero is good, not great. There are better pulse options for PvP and outside of Champions, Kinetic primaries are borderline useless in PvE.
Hard to judge until we have the full thing. It’s like getting 30% of a weapon. It’s going to be a stat monster once we have the other perks on.
Imagine going for tirckshots in a game riddled rng bullets while airborne. yikes
That's exactly the point. This gun bypasses most of that. Next season (maybe mid-season this season) devs confirmed it's going to be even better. Which will make this thing perfect accuracy in the air with the right setup.
