"See How They Run" - Meadow (w/ LAURA BRANIGAN)
Written by - Walker Daniels; Chris Van Cleave; Laura Branigan
Lead Vocals - Laura Branigan (Chris Van Cleave, Walker Daniels on backing vocals)
Portion of lyrics:
Rain come down, wash away
All the tears that she cried
All the times that I've lied
I'd like to come up shining
In my baby's eyes
I'll never go away again
You know I don't want to end up
Like my good friends
Those three blind mice
See how they run
From their 1973, Paramount records album, "The Friend Ship" - Hudba
Because, if she spoke of this, the media would have found out that she wasn't actually born in 1957. Her PR people convinced her that she was "too old" to be marketable as a pop/rock singer. No one thought anyone would notice this album, by 1978. In all of her interviews, she spoke of never singing for real until she was in her first HS play "The Pajama Game", her senior year. This, according to her Atlantic Bio would have been 74-75.
I am not a Branigan fan at all but for a 15-16 years old teenager it is a real decent job... of course those who love (to death) the plastic 80s will just hate this...
I use to luv the 70s more but this is of course not essential stuff by any means (it sounds more like a decent demo) ...it is instead an interesting document who cross the ages and it will surprise most people around...
I wonder if she was smoking greengrass with her friends around those times !?
why didn't Laura ever talk about this album? was she ashamed of it?
Wow! Who knew
It was a joke, . .
she's known for more pop sounding stuff.
I guess she had to start some where.
page six of the new york times covered this some months ago about he actual age, and as for the meadow alblum one of the guys committed suicide and maybe laura had witnessed it and that is why she has never spoken publicly about meadow.
I dont think its so bad. I actually enjoy it more than the horrible dance-pop numbers.
Laura was born 1952. According to her hometown Arkmons website.
"Laura Branigan (1952-2004), Grammy-nominated musician, grew up in Armonk and was a Byram Hills HS graduate (1970)."

Stig-Åke Persson july 3rd 1957 was her birthday.
As you know Laura attended Byram Hills high school. From its school paper "Spectrum" 2009 you can read "Laura Branigan Memorial Scholarship:
Awarded to a senior for excellence in the
Performing Arts. The award is presented
in memory of Laura Branigan, BHHS class
of 1970" www.byramhills.org/files/filesystem/spectrum_summer09.pdf Page 11
2010 the same again.. www.byramhills.org/files/filesystem/spectrum_july10.pdf Page 9
Stig-Åke Persson then why does her wiki read july 3rd, 1957 ???
Because Laura's wiki is a whole mess. When I started my research one year ago, it was just in wiki. Read "Talk" and you see what I mean. I have tried to change birth year and other wrong details, in ended I was banned by wiki. Google search Laura branigan 1952 and you will see how things are changing. My next step in finding Laura's birth note. I have Billy's.
Stig-Åke Persson well props to you..good luck in your journey to help out someone so special as laura was..especially to me.
wtf is this? Gloria meets the Grateful Dead?
