Founder's Award Recipient 2017 - Dr. Lynch - Bastyr University

This award given annually in Dr. Pizzorno's name is granted to an alumna/alumnus from any academic program who has achieved distinction in her/his field of student and has renered exceptional service to Bastyr, improving the entire Bastyr community and advancing the University's objectived and ideals. Since graduation, Ben Lynch, ND '07 has committed himself to living by the naturopathic principles, being a great father, husband and bridging the gap between standard medicine and naturopathic medicine. His passion for disease prevention led to his educational programs, conferences, formulations and online media. Through education alone, he has spread awareness of naturopathic medicine while at the same time supporting the health of thousands across the globe. An avid supporter of Bastyr University, he serves as a member of the President’s Council and donates to the student scholarship fund each year.
Ben's recent work, Dirty Genes, is being published by HarperOne January 2018. It already is gaining international and national attention and will further increase awareness of how important naturopathic medicine is.
