- SO in my denial of the 2023 LOL cinematic A Brink of Insanity, I decided instead of reacting to that..."cinematic" I would instead go back and watch a cinematic for league of legends I haven't see yet! So here is my reaction to A New Dawn! Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching :)

I love that Georgie calls the " Brink of infinity " as "brink of insanity" . Very accurate description.

It was.. not good. If it means that their mmo and other projects they're busy with are getting the attention they need though, I will forgive it. Riot has got alot going on atm.

They disbanded the game mode team, their main story teller ( the guy who created the lore behind kindred, fiddle, darkin) left and they stated there will be no more VGUs for a long time( indeterminate). They wrote 1/5 of the previous years stories and placed gameplay specialists into skin creation.
@@THEO00900 my sense is alot of their creatives are moving to the mmo, and now they're supposedly hiring people for the LoL side of things. I wasn't aware that one of the main writers left, although that's not unusual even in the best of times.
We will see. . The devs promised us that things will get back to normal as far as content once they fill up their teams again. Covid really took a hit on their staff, like many places, they're trying to fill those gaps.

Ah yes, THE league cinematic.
This was the herald of the Lorepacalypse back in 2014. This was essentially the last video made in which 'the league of Legends' was a cannon event that all the 'champions' attended. So this was just a random 5v5 set in the jungle. This is also the case for basically every video older than 2014.
As for the blood and brutality, that's just a sign of gaming history and what was deemed acceptable viewing. (See all this blood and imagine what the Yasuo/Yone fight could have looked like in kin of the stained blade)
And yeah 2023 has started off with a dud, but that's the difference between the creators in riot and the management of riot.
i miss blood and brutality in LoL trailers,it ads that umpf to them ,sence of high stakes.

So you have two options, firstly, watch channels and their videos such as: Necrit, T B Skyen, TENEBRIX, NickyBoi, and we have from our CZcamsrs like Necrit and Hráčská Divize, Příběhy Runeterry, Baron Rico.
Or read a story with comics in one place, plus there are three books for that.

Ruination: A League of Legends Novel.
Well, both are best.
I myself began to love the story of league of legends for these reasons.

Yes, league of legends is about gameplay and a poisonous community, but that's because they really don't know how to play a dump game.
And Lore in League of Legends is way better than Warcraft.
You can also write it as Cinematic.
League of Legends has 12 comics and three books like i write on the start.

And also League of legends Skin lines are alternate and parallel uvinverses. With stories this good, sometimes it's a much better champion story than in LOL. ;)

I haven't seen this in years, and it's still good and exciting to watch. Personal distaste for Riot as a company for a number of reasons, but the community and some of the people they take on for creative productions like this though often do an outstanding job and deserve that recognition for their works.
I was watching you go from "I have no idea about Legaue or anyhting in that world" to a being a player and react to soooo much and now you are just as disdappointed, as we all are. I feel so understood, thank you

@@georgieegames Yes these cinematics are more of a newcomer thing but you have the advantage of knowing who they are as you say. And they are great videos no matter the order, I liked your reaction as usual.
Yes! This is a good ol' classic. They don't quite make'em like this anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love the new super-HD cinematic style with incredible music and sound design, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for the more "gameplay" style cinematics like "A New Dawn" and "A Twist of Fate".

A New Dawn I believe was based on the old old lore....about the institution and the summoners aka the players

Yes, they have gone very far. And hopefully they will fix things with this, they have lost a lot of faith with their community sadly.
yes indeed it was, back when the old lore was pretty much just so yea you have summoners (you play these) and they summon these champions to fight for them. Other than a few lines most champs didn't even have lore past that. They really ramped up the story telling since then.
I absolutely love Leona to the point that I have a tattoo of her shield, and I've never been so happy to see someone's reaction to her. This is obviously my favorite cinematic

Great reaction and i love that you noticed that Leona was still alive at the end of the first fight. So many people miss out on that part. A New Dawn is my favorite League cinematic and its the last of its kind.
I remember that year when they made the new dawn video. And the new game mode of that year. Also fun fact for anyone how did not know that ending shot when they look at the blue orb it's not a nexus but xerath. It was a hit to the new shurima lore and game mode.
This is not based on lore, mainly because when this cinematic was made there wasn't really much lore. It is just supposed to show the main idea of lol, teams with characters from different regions fighting in 5v5 formats in summoners rift, thats why they killed so many of them, because they respawn anyway
The cinematic is not lore related, like "Noxus vs Everyone" the cinematic is about the game itself, 5 vs 5, all random characters, one of every position, Support, Carry, Solo laner, Mid laner and a Jungler
as an arcane fan she sure knows alot of the champion names lol

New Dawn is still one of my favorite cinematics after so many years (along with Twisted Fate).
It's an incredible feeling to see the skills and ultimates of your favorite champions in combat in such a gorgeous quality, especially for 2014.
Although there is no lore here and just a 5v5 fight is shown, I still dearly adore this cinematic and I hope that Riot will release similar cinematics in the future, and not the misunderstanding that happened this year (By God, even the cinematic for the Chinese Lunar New Year event looks much better).

This cinematic doesnt realy have lore but it was great at showing chanp ability
I am pretty sure the old lore was like a fighting tournament between champions
Yeah this isn't actually lore accurate anymore this is just showcasing a random 5v5 match basically, for example I don't think Nautilus ever goes on land lore wise, he's just chilling at the bottom of the sea.
Georgie: "Nautilus is huge!"
me: "in New dawn he's not even up to his REAL scale." (his height can reach from the deepest parts of the ocean to the water surface)
That clip at the start of your reaction to 2023's video was a good start.
It's really funny to hear someone say "Oh! We've never seen her in a cinematic before," regarding Kat cause I'm pretty sure she'd been in every single one up until this point. I'd not even thought about that until you said it.
There's an unreleased cinematic for the old Dominion game mode that I only found out about yesterday. If you want more content to react to I'd recommend that since it has a lot of champions that haven't appeared in newer cinematics.
Yeah to be fair this cinematic was more of a glorified depiction of League as a game and not as a universe (cinematic had no actual lore) hence why it it a lot older than the more recent cinematics which depict more the lore and story side of runeterra. Back then they were still trying to find themselves as a company and the IP.

The cinematic was made before the story got to where it is now so that's why the character choice was a bit random

@@georgieegames As I recall, this is 100% out of the lore. It is basically made to show what it feels like to play the game. A quick 4v4 in the jg, and then you see the nexus that they are trying to get to at the end there.
So just wanna say:
At the point when this cinematic was released, Darius was LITERALLY THAT TERRIFYING. In that meta he could be able to take on three champions without even being fed.
I think back then were only few champions who could fight him 1v1, but usually enemy team tank had to sacrifice himself just so adc and mages could wear Darius out.
The voice in the 'Brink of Infinity' Was Powders voice actor and i wish she was given better... I didn't catch if you caught that and why that was what she was given is beyond me.... That Actor deserved so much better

This and A Twist of Fate were the ones that ushered in the current modern era of super high quality League cinematics.
Both videos tried to play up the team vs team/one side vs the other aspects of the game before they started heavily injecting the actual character and game universe lore into them. This one more so than A Twist of fate. As you can see they went with a full 5v5 "meta" team vs meta team.
* Darius and Jax representing the top lane bruisers
* Draven and Graves as the ADCs (this was back long before Graves was a jungler)
* Rengar and Nautilus as the junglers (you even see Naut coming out of the forrest to join the fight).
* Katarina and Ahri filling the Mage mid slots
* Leona and Zyra serving as the bot lane supports.

Will you react to Shurima: Descent into the Tomb and Shurima: Rise of the Ascended, these cinematics are in two parts, so it's worth watching them one by one, they also explain the backstory of several Shurima characters, and I personally love these cinematics

Considering I lost any way of playing League a while back, I don't check out anything new that comes out.
A New Dawn, though, came out soon after I started playing, so, it has a soecialspot in my heart. I think before that, I'd only ever seen Get Jinxed. I always click to watch a reaction to this cinematic.

I have always loved her, since 2013 when I started, but, I've never been one for Support play.
However... last I was playing League, I took i0ki's(A Leona "main" CZcamsr) suggestion, and it was AMAZING.
Leona Jungle. Believe me or not, she is MIGHTY in that role. It's quite dumb, actually. Imagine....you're running down the enemy ADC while got caught all alone, and you've got them down to 10% HP. You just know you got a great free kill coming, aaaaand ya get slapped with a Leona R, E, Q AA from over a wall, and the enemy ADC knew right when to turn and start shooting. Sucks to be you then.
Two favorite off-meta Junglers- Leona and Kayle. :)
As a pretty decent Rengar player, this one makes sense. Never let Rengar get on your ADC.

I am going to do a video on Lux but I will see how many comics there are as if there is too many I will include some snap shots of moments to talk about instead of reading the whole thing like I did with varus :)

You see what we've been putting up with for two years after the Ruination, lore has been on hiatus since then you've just been reacting to stuff that existed before all this time.
That being said it's nice looking back and seeing what's changed over the last 10 years. Leona being portrayed heroically when Darius has more empathy in his left hand then her whole body in current league, Graves actually a serious character instead of a dumbass comic relief himbo after reconciling with TF, Nautilus.... exists and hasn't been replaced with Pyke yet lmao.

Honestly I love that you didnt even include the reaction to the main cinematic and just went for repeating one of the good ones, it seem riot is going down the blizzard road and it hurts, I was playing wow bc and it hurt so much seeing them take the wrong turn, now riot feels the same/even tho for different reasons but I really hope they come back.
The main thing I can take away from the actual cinematic from this year, it hurt, alot. I am actually worried after that but I sill believe in riot, as much as I can after this shit show.

I enjoyed rewatching this after i watched it so meny years ago man when time flies league was so diffrent in that time.. but as a reaction and still being better than that hunk of actual human incorporated GARBAGE we got as a 2023 season start cinematic. it says something when youtube recommends me people shit talking riot new cinematic and people reactions to other of their stuff than the actual new cinematic thats cringe...

I have had to put it off a few times due to work or illness so I do apologise for that. Next video coming IS elf academy and I will also be watching the new honkai flamechasers animation too when that drops in a few weeks. I play honkai on my twitch but apart from that I have reacted to all the honkai content I can really 😔 I am sorry your disappointed though, I am trying to do honkai related content when its avaliable.
