Tenor Choir Practice: “Credo” from Mozart’s “Missa Solemnis in C major" , K. 337 . Mozart’s Missa Solemnis (Missa Aulica), is his last complete liturgical Mass composed in 1780 for Easter High Mass in the Salzburg Cathedral. The Credo begins in a minuet tempo, while Mozart uses word painting to soar and descend in different voice parts. At the Et incarnatus est, the mood changes where the soprano soloist sings a gentle, sad melody. Joy returns in the Et resurrexit. The movement ends with the same soaring and descending voice parts of the beginning.
