I'm happy with the two that I have. One I bought new in 1964 and one was a gift, brass one made in 1993.

Thank you so much! Today I've just got 270 high polish brass vintage lighter and the stamp is without patent number, with "vintage" written instead, produced in June 2021. I was a bit confused, thank you for explanation!👍

Yeah that's true it's hard to find info on this subject, It took a bit to see this link in web search. Nothing new except knowing zippo quietly changed stamps, the sad part is it's tough to know what generic listing will have them on ebay OR if someone will even help you out. I got lucky enough to get a 41 crackle before i knew about the change, but like i said it's a ton of trouble to find a small custom/one of a kind listing for any modern zippo. I wonder if the change is to match their 35 replica stamps, but it's really unfortunate they didn't just fix the 35 replica stamp to be a more accurate style vs changing the rest of the line. Sad day
I have a small collection myself of mostly alright designs and some true vintage ones (50's,60's etc) but i will pick up some 1937s if i can find them JUST in case I ever want them. I'm trying to figure out if i want to everyday carry my black crackle 41, my orange explosion work sign design, or my one from 65' i got for 10 bucks. My favorite, in my do not use collection is an unfired (and good mint light scratch condition) 1969 moon landing town and country zippo... i haggled it down from $50 to $35, wow and to think 13 year old me still thought that was too much to pay. Thought I'd make it interesting before I leave, cheers!
