Seeing what kind of things woodworkers put on their lathes and spin up, it's a bloody miracle that craft hasn't died out yet.
Mad genius. Seriously, where to even start. The third iteration is the best.
''Insert dirty joke here'' 😂😂😂 made my day! Thanks olivier !
your effortless rubber-banding of the segmented ring was nothing short of witchcraft 😆 thank you for sharing 🙏
I cut out the part where three of them snaped at my fingers and some cuss words came out.
@@OlivierGomis ha !! “movie magic” i guess 😆
You did it again, TWICE! Olivier, you are a genius, no two ways about it. You make them, people will buy them. I love to watch your agile mind in action.
I can’t sharpen a pencil without breaking it. The level of skill and craftsmanship required here is mind blowing. Absolutely beautiful work.
Your brain definitely works on a different level than mine. I’d never be able to think of how to even start these intricate patterns. Thank you for sharing this.
…amen. 🤷🏻♂️
Facts! I never thought of it either. I had to watch it because, wait…what?!😊
You must be american...
The third one has to be my favourite. Not only is it a gorgeous model of spacetime curvature, it’s also a functional table while simultaneously allowing for demonstrations of how orbits are affected by the curvature.
Agreed. Not only is it a stunning work of art, it also demonstrates a physical principle in the coolest way possible AND it's a functional coffee table!
Now I want to see two gravity wells side-by-side so that one can have have fun attempting gravity assists on marbles...
"Anyway I'll shut up now and let you enjoy the turning ..." Mr. Gomis, ALL the work in your videos is fun to watch - fascinating, riveting, exciting. But please don't "shut up." Your thoughts and insights are part of the work, too. I look forward to every new one. Thank you so much!
I love the 1st 1. A big toy, 4 a big kid!!! 😂😂😂
SO I MADE A THIRD ONE!!! :D
Those came out looking beautiful!
I have only just come across your channel. This is the first video that the CZcams algorithm gods have suggested. And what an amazing treat. Young man, you have some serious skills. Good luck in all your endeavors
Best video no talking, let your work and sound of the machine do the talking
Watching you work is like watching a spider spin it’s web, well done!
Во первых, это оригинально. Во вторых, чтобы так тонко чувствовать материал, это уже не ремесло , это уже настоящее искусство ! Респект.
My wife, daughter and I are subscribed and can't wait until the next video. We all agreed that the third one with the offset table top was the favourite. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Dude. Just wow! 🤯🤯🤯
AND you made three of them?!?!?! I love watching the way your creative mind works. My fave is definitely the 3rd one, as it's form and function. Thanks for the features gratuitous curious cat footage at the end!
Jesus! This video had more false-endings than Return of the King!!!
Worth it, because they all look fantastic. Though it seems to me you could add the raised glass tabletop to all of them so they can all be functional as both tables and toys.
The first one is just a game. A big one in the middle of the room. Still a beautiful piece but impactable. The second one the maple seems to be too bright. Takes away from your base colors. It would look great in the right decor but only in the right decor. The third one with the glass. Perfect! You get the benefit of a table where you need one and a unique twist for your guests to entertain themselves. You do fantastic work and do great videos even if a person has a hard time getting a word in edgewise with you. 🤣🤣🤣
HE MADE 3 WTF O.O thats crazy. They're all very nice looking pieces.
Very catchy table...I can play all day long 😁
You're the most original and creative woodturner on YT. Awesome project!
I concur!!!
I too concur!!
I like the first one. The way the lines go down into the hole is intriguing. But of course, to work as a functional table, it'd have to have a glass top like table #3. All three are stunningly beautiful!
I watch a lot of wood turners and other wood-related channels. I have you at the top of the list. Fantastic workmanship; video editing; and final results. I would bet money that you have a genius IQ.
You are the rare artist who finds creativity within precision. It’s fascinating to watch you work.
Beautiful job people don’t understand how much work is required to make this happen keep it up good luck
Wowee, Olivier. Those are magnificent. My favorite is #3 because it's a functional table and you can play with it. Thanks for sharing this!
First off, I can't even fathom where you start when you come up worth these idea. Second, I feel you on the sanding; I made my wife a liquor cabinet last week and it took me about 6 hours to sand
Wow, I really want one, so much fun, your guests would be playing with it the whole time.
That's a really cool piece! I think I like the 3rd one best, functionality and fun all in one. While watching the solid glue-up, I wondered if it might have been a little easier with concentric rings glued together, but might not have had the same stretching effect the closer you got to the well. Always entertaining to see the amazing work you do. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I watch lots of woodturners, but you are the absolute king of design. Thanks for sharing.
They’re all so beautiful and unique, but I think the third with raised glass for function and still with the ability to show off marbles in the well. Great job! 👍
Very cool and very satisfying. As part of the 12%, I strongly approve! Well done, as always.
We found one! Thanks for watching.
My husband and I watch from his account primarily, but I’m still subscribed here on mine! So another one of the 12% here too!
Между ними фанера или что, спасибо?
Another beautiful creation Olivier also your new shop looks like it's coming along nicely. Thank you for sharing sir.
Hats off sir 🤌! like an interstellar gambling table :)
I burst out laughing when you started the third one!
They are all amazing and perfect compliments to the Wormhole table but I do think the one with the glass top would be my favorite. Functional and fun!
Love how you have been adding those quick funny spots also. Really giving your videos even more personal touch. Not to forget the Pepe shirt - a man of refined taste indeed.
Thank you very luch Brad!
First one. Imagination, great skill and a crap-ton of hard work amazing.
I am in awe! It takes me half an hour to decide how to mount a simple bowl on a lathe. So much talent, so much sanding followed by hours of fun 🌞
Beautiful result Olivier! All three are beautiful, I love the blond maple, it really makes the pattern stand out. Thank you for sharing your time, your amazing talent, your skills and your adventure.👍🤟🪡🎨
Nothing shy of totality righteous. So cool.
Please do a larger version of this for 8 or 6 people ❤❤ hat's off for the craftsmanship 🎉❤
I'd be terrified of failing. I guess that's why I'm not you. Astonishing work. Thanks for sharing.
You are now my favorite woodworking site having replaced Frank Howarth. Excellent skills and vid presentation. Time to do another one of your marching in place segments. Great to see such a young talent. Keep it up.
So cool! (Your helper sure is a nice looking guy!) 😂❤
You are by far the most creative in combining form and function while showcasing some of the universal science principles that even non-science folks will be awed by. Just priceless and very zen moments to watch and learn
OMG! You made one, then a second one, THEN A THIRD ONE!🤯 You have some very serious creative skills. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Definitely the third one. Excellent!
Will keep the kids, including the grown up ones quiet for hours, smashing work, brilliant finish, great job.
I never cease to be amazed by your gift. Beautiful.
This very well illustrates the fabric of space-time.
You're the Zinedine Zidane of wood work. MASTERPIECES!!!
I was super surprised when you suddenly had a second one to show, but when you turned up with the third I was blown away. A lot of work in each one just getting to the turning phase.
La table avec la plaque en verre est la plus élégante ( et amusante) 😊
Je suis certaine que même des chats l'aimeront 😺👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is my favorite coffee table/wood turning video ever. Amazing!!!
You 're doing great ! Just a unique piece of furniture in the form of a table .
You're talent is endless! Love them all, but the last one takes the cake!
I like all three of them. Useful and playful
My mind is blown three times over 🤯
WOW! Beautiful work and result. What else can I say... lost for words. How can I pick a favourite out of equally spectacular pieces... It's a bit like your children... they are all perfect.
These tables are absolutely beautiful!… but I think I love the look on your cat’s face the best.
You’re a true wizard. ❤
I sincerely admire your willingness to eat that much moldy rye bread for your craft.
Loved "So I made another one"!
One of these should be in a museum. Phenomenal.
I absolutely love everything you make. Your attention to detail is amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
magnificent. of course #3 is my favorite because it fulfills purpose, design and fun.
Einstein of wood turning.
you don't do things by halves. you like doing big projects and we have the privilege of watching them. thankyou
An absolute genius at his craft. Truly awesome
Absolutely stunning work! I wish I had 1% of your talent! Definitely all are gorgeous, but the 3rd one is my favorite. Best of both worlds with functionality and play time with the marbles! Bravo my friend, by far my favorite piece you have created
Watching this video convinces me your design and creativity abilities are limitless!
I like the one with the glass. Beautiful table and nice job
Bravo 👏👏👏. Great work as always. You and Frank Howarth ate mu favorite technical makers.
Incredible… I don’t think I’d have the patience to make one AND that’s what makes you incredibly unique. Great vid.
All three are fantastic, but from a practical point of view, the table with the raised glass is the best combination of playfulness and usefulness. It’s amazing how you can create these masterpieces, first visualising the process and then effectively producing them. Chapeau!
I like the middle one best, with the white outer rings. Absolutely beautiful work on all of them.
Beautiful Gravity Well and you did an amazing job making and turning it!!!!
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
You r already the greatest wood master .......
Perfect block alignment!!! The best you have produced in that regard. I just love the project too.
I have no words
It's beautiful and fun, and you're a genius
6:15 It looked really cool just with all parts glued, and before any cutting was done. Like true "modern design", as if conceived by Michele De Lucchi, or the Campana Brothers.
This is one of my favorite channels and the only woodturning channel I follow. Your work is always so beautiful and your editing style is so much fun. Everytime you upload, it's such a treat to watch what you make.
Seriously, amazingly, beautiful!!!
Man, the videos you make and the projects you create are really great. Always very enjoyable.
Everything you touch my dude always comes out straight 🔥🔥🔥! And I watch everything you put out, and the meticulous attention to the details of your work is the payoff👊🏾💯🎉
Encore trop bien!
Le contour claire tranche un peut trop peut être mais cela dépend de l'interieur dans lequel ira la table...
La bille est hypnotisante! Trop bonne idée a ceux qui l'ont eu
Absolutely fantastic bit of work. Have to say I prefer the last one. Practical and fun all in one. Just needs some form of marble return at the base instead of having to lift it. Found you by accident but have added you to my list. Thank you for the ingenious ideas and not just the ordinary.
Excellent work 👍👍👍 . 👍👍👍Thank you for sharing. Be safe🇨🇦
Love all 3 tables but my favorite is the last version with glass top. Your work is exceptionally good.
Sweet work Oliver, I know how much work goes into this type of Woodworking, plenty of time, glueing & Sanding. Well done. My favourite is the middle one at the end.
Wait? He did whuuuuuut???
This video is spectacular 👌
These are just awesome. The time you're willing to spend to get just the right thing...wow. The third one is my favorite but all of them are amazing!
Absolutely lovely! all are nice but the dark edge is better.
Definitely a master work. Youth and talent. God bless you boy.
I'd be interested in a video on your planning process. There must be a lot of drawing and math that goes into planning a build like this and I can't even imagine where to start. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful craft with us!
La première , magnifique travail !!!!!❤
Les trois sont juste splendides, mais j'ai une préférence pour la dernière. Bravo Olivier
Wow Oliver you Sir are absolutely amazing you are such a craftsman and an amazing artist I love watching your videos have been waiting for a new video from you. I can’t believe you made 3 of them they are all absolutely beautiful and amazing. Shop is looking great also can’t wait to see what you do next.👏👏👏
