I had an ex like Austin, when I became a registered nurse he never was proud of me, nor congratulated me for my accomplishment. He worked at Walmart and was intimidated by me making more than him and I didn't want our relationship to be about money and who makes more or less. I couldn't deal with his insecurities, him putting me down and jealousy so I dumped him and told him to get therapy because he was depressed. Now I'm with my husband who makes a little more than me now and not make our marriage about income. Our whole relationship wasn't based on money.

You know the sad part is my ex was the way Austin was. I was always so proud of her and everything she had a gig at ibm and made money I was like its your dream job im so proud of you and even took her out because of it. Unfortunately having toxic friends doesnt help. Soon her friends would basically tell her omg you work for ibm and basically thats what she made herself out to be and the money which got to her head. Soon she just became a shell of a person she was and it became very toxic.

I loved this video. A handful of years ago, I dated a nurse, while I was a Chinese food, delivery driver. I was a great saver and even if I wasn't, I paid my bills. Never did I feel insecure, knowing she made a lot more money that me. We took care of each other and paid our bills. Life was jus right.
