- Hey all, Rob Martinez here. Today on Eating with Robert, I try Trinbagonian cuisine - the food that hails from Trinidad and Tobago. The owners of A&A Bake & Doubles Shop in Bed-Stuy were kind enough to invite me down to the area known as Little Trinidad, where I got to have a taste of home through their eyes.
Btw - Thanks for subscribing to Eating with Robert. ;)

You did a great job pronouncing the names, but it's called"doubles" even if it's only one.
haha oh man! thanks for the correction
Yes we never say "give me a double." We says give me one or how you want "doubles" please.
that roti looks amazing. I’ll definitely be hitting them up soon to try Trinidad and Tobago cuisine
let me know when you do!
Just came across your show. Love it!! Great job Rob.
Good morning. I'm a Trinidadian and just came across your video on CZcams. You did a great job with the pronunciations. Happy you enjoyed the Trini foods. Thank you for sharing.
Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 sending greetings 🇹🇹 enjoy your presentation of our dishes .
It just brings a special joy to my heart to see ppl trying and enjoying foods from my country... im so glad you loved it... there is so much more for you to try.... some people like 3 barras so they ask for triples and the aloo is the hindi word for potato. You were on point with your reviews
If you liked the bake and salt fish you'd love the bake and smoked herring.
bet, I'm due for a trip back
Smoke herring is an acquired taste not as Saltfish at all! Too much bones in it anyway, but very good with rice and dhal tho
@@EatingWithRobert Next time, if they have it, try Sada Roti and Vegetable Choka
@SimplyCaribbean lol are u eating smoke herring in the 70's bones lol
Great vlog 👍👌 watching from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹...
Got to try the food from this restaurant, thanks so much for your review.
Happy you are enjoying our food, you should definitely visit trinidad for the real experience
As a Trini, thanks for the great review! That roti got some emotions out of you, lol. You need to visit us in Trinidad, especially for Carnival.
I thought I'd comment here and not just Reddit. You have produced an eminently watchable foodie show that makes some 'professional' efforts on TV look rather ordinary.
Thanks for the compliment man, it means a lot
@@EatingWithRobert hi Rob as next time u try the bake get a hot cup of tea ☕ and see the difference
Yesss I love their doubles and the price is right
You should go back to this place and make a fresh review :)
Making me hungry 😋
Have eaten lots of chickpeas but no goat. Meal looks good though. The drink looks healthy.
U should seriously visit little Guyana in queens has indo Caribbean people there
hadda find a place that sells Pelau
And an authentic Trinbago stew chicken.

👍🇹🇹🇹🇹
man when's Rob coming back? :(
I’m back man! Check the shorts
aye auntie Susan boi
Trinidad, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, Grenada, and St Vincent are the only Caribbean islands where Indians were brought through the indentured laborship back in the 1800s. Trinidad And Guyana have the highest Indian population in the Caribbean
WHY DON'T YOU HAVE MORE VIEWS
Haha. I did these videos when I was still learning how to make content. The shorts are doing well, I just started those a few months ago.
@@EatingWithRobert Production quality (and vibes) we’re still great man. Hope the new viewers find your backlog.
I can't eat doubles unless I have a AppleJ
You gotta eat doubles while it's hot, yours looked a bit cold but I'm hoping your video was taken within minutes of your purchase. And next time, do not order it hot/spicy unless your pallet can handle that type of heat. When it's too spicy you miss all the other flavors and all your tongue and senses can feel and taste is pure heat.
if u want true doubles come to trinidad
