The whole game is just absolute beauty. in my opinion, link looks the best he's ever looked. it took some getting used to at first, no I cant get enough of it!

I truly think this is the best game I have ever played.Smash Bros Brawl used to be my fav, but now i have LoZ:SS and i LOVE it.

@theST1NG I've played the games pretty much from when they first came out too, so followin this series on this epic journey and ending up with this game was what probably made it more emotional for me, but I agree with everything you say, and also to add in a industry that is full of shooters and multiplayer orientated games it's good to see the passion of storytelling and single player emmersive stuff is still being made!

I preordered this game 3 years ago, and when it finally came out, my wii broke before I could play it. So, I let my friend borrow it, but his wii broke before he got a chance to play it. Nintendo is master troll.

I played wii TP and 3ds OOT and liked them about the same... I wonder if I'll like this game more? I hope so because the other two were amazing.
Played it, beat it, slapped it, broke it, lost it, ate it, stared at it, lava'd it, and pooped it. These are characteristics my brother did.

I heard that a for better response, you have to play on a not too iluminated room, cos Wii controls work with the light coming from the sensor bar...
Anyway I was just pointing out how Gamespot bashed this game while everyone else adores it.

Aonuma and his team really should be proud....they've created THE masterpiece of this console generation, and possibly the past decade.

@theST1NG Pretty much the same man. The story really broke me- that mid game sequence with Zelda and Link, you know the one where he runs up the steps banging on her crystal, pretty much broke me emotionally, and the way they ended it was perfect. Just I really think it's a beautiful game and most of all, it's a Love story I just really really really Wished they hugged even though they didn't kiss a hug would have been icing on this perfect cake lol. Legendary addition to the series!

But you have to agree that no anti-aliasing doesn't make it look very painting-ish... instead of a smooth sharp (as in it would cut through anything) sword I see a sword with some very rough edges.... >.>
Even though I haven't buckled to the pressure thus far, this new Zelda game has caused me to buy a Nintendo Wii. I know the WiiU is coming soon, but without the ability to play this game, I would be incomplete. And yes I will buy the new Nintendo system (when it comes out), just for the ability to play this game in HD.

@wpte the sharp edges completely ruin it for me. it's supposed to look more artsy and painting-ish, and the higher quality completely screws that all up.

I really wanna play this game now, just cause I saw this trailer... As well as the new batman arkham city. Those two seem to be the best right now.

I'm 42 hrs in to Skyward Sword. I think I'm a little less than half way through the main quest, and I can already say that this is without question one of the finest games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Hell, this might just be my favorite game ever! We'll see how things play out once I'm finished, but I very much doubt this game will falter in any way. Everything from the controls to the game design and even the story have been fantastic. Somehow I think it will get even better.

@levitabusman Yeah, I know what you mean. That middle scene was so effective in doing its job. The animation and the music together were just too much for me to handle. I shed at least one manly tear at that point. T_T
The ending was as good as any I've ever seen. Perfect really, and it even left room for a direct sequel should Nintendo see fit to make one. I for one would jump at the chance to play as this Link again. Perhaps the game could focus on the creation of Hyrule? I can dream, can't I?

@levitabusman Just finished the main quest a couple of hours ago actually, and I have to say, I'm pretty blown away. The game is a masterpiece in my opinion and might very well be my new favorite game ever. I really can't fathom how anyone can fault this game. It just absolutely nails everything I've ever loved about gaming. Great story, excellent controls, fantastic game design and perfect pacing. Add to that the beautiful music and visuals, and no one can deny this game's triumph. You? =)

I know the Legend of Zelda; Skyward Sword is coming up and I have the Wii System.
@theST1NG The abundance of fetch quests, mini games, and "not Zelda" stuff in general that was shoved into the main quest in order to artificially extend the play time was a pretty big problem. A great game, still, but that shit annoyed me to no end.

@AntiReviews Well, you're certainly as entitled to your opinion as I am, and in my opinion the fetch quests and mini games were not detractors. Quite the opposite in fact. The fetch quests often times would lead me to parts of the surface I had yet to explore, and I'd find secret areas that I would likely never have known about had the game not pointed me in the right direction. I also found the mini games to be really fun overall, especially the mine cart section. To each his own I say! =)

@theralphster No it wll not. A new Zelda game being on the Wii U is more likely. Skyward Sword was designed for the Wii and the Wii only. It utilizes Wii motion plus for 1:1 swordplay and other items revolve around WM+ as well.
To all you who dislike the graphics, these graphics are the best the Wii can do and Nintendo had to decide which would best fit this game. They chose this art-style because
1.The Wii's hardware is limited
2.The graphics actually help you pinpoint the enemies weak spot.
It looks awesome but Wind Waker will always be dearest to my heart.

I have to admit that the blurry stuff looks bad... but it also does on the wii, it's a low quality blur >.<

@OrganicChemist797 Yeah dude, you honestly have to play this game. It trumps Twilight Princess in every way. Including graphics. You can't tell but on the tv screen and in motion its very beautiful. Also, you have to actually play Wind Waker and SkyWard Sword to fall in love with the graphics style. Everyone was hating on WindWaker when it was first announced but when people finally played it everyone completely changed their minds and loved it. Give it a shot man, you wont regret it. I promise.
I'm really enjoying this game, especially since this one was actually built for the wii, the game play and control is incredible. Good story line, glorious art, why would I ever have a reason to complain? unless I actually didn't like Legend of zelda, in which case I probably wouldn't be playing it.... Yay skyward sword!! :D

@gerben838665 Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy 1& 2, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl to name a few. Games like these these will leave you scratching your head 'til it is raw and bloody as to why you didn't buy a Wii earlier! I have a 360 and PS3 and the best release last year for me was this game hands down. Buy a Wii! They're cheap and the games are timeless classics. You won't whip out the PS3 in ten years time for their titles but the Nintendo titles always hold well!
Someone typed that they beat this in 3 hours.Now I KNOW that's impossible.
I wanted this game MORE than Pikmin (a game my favorite LPer, chuggaaconroy, played) but I couldn't get it because 1.) It needed MotionPlus and 2.) It was like 50 bucks!!! EXPENSIVE. Saw it @ Gamestop.
