In the 2nd episode of Hope @ 11th Hour, we sit down (virtually) with Momin Ali Munshi, who has had the honor of passing out from the The International School of Choueifat - Lahore and completing his bachelors from LUMS. Momin founded 'Galaxy Lollywood', which is a digital space that provides the most reliable, authentic and honest happenings in Pakistan's showbiz Industry.
In this interview, he speaks about the time when he could not find a purpose behind joining LUMS and decided to withdraw in December 2011 to pursue fashion, showbiz or areas related to these streams, as that was always his passion. Two weeks after withdrawal he lost his father to an unexpected death and in order to stay practical he joined an academy where he studied chartered accountancy but he continued feeling out of place. Eventually, while demanding rights for himself and fellow students, he was expelled by the academy. Withdrawn from LUMS, having lost a parent and expelled from CA academy, what brought him back to LUMS and made him go on to find the premium showbiz news platform by the name of "Galaxy Lollywood" is Momin's story of hope.
In the later part of the interview, we talk about what is keeping Momin busy in the times of lockdown, shows he is watching and liking, he gives out guidelines to people who aspire to come up with a platform like his and at the end we talk a little about current state of Pakistan's film industry and reliablity and availability of box office numbers in Pakistan.
