It’s so good to see you again! I love that you are talking about big box store yarns. I know it encourages us who can’t always afford special, LYS yarns. We don’t have to expensive yarns to make beautiful things. 😊
So excited for both of you for this BIG change in your lives!
Hello fellow New Englanders! I found you through Kay/Crazy Sock Lady and I'm SO GLAD I DID! Oh my goodness, how exciting finding a perfect house and moving closer to your daughter! We live about the same distance from our daughter (she's in NH and we're in MA). I love the projects you're working on-and using acrylic yarn! I knit my daughter a colorwork cardigan back in 1997 out of acrylic yarn and she's still wearing it...and it looks as good as when I bound it off. 2 babies, puppies, and whatever else life throws one's way and it's wearing like iron. I'll have to look into the Big Twist yarn-it looks amazing! Blankets, socks, pot holders, washcloths...SOOOO inspiring! I love you guys!!! ❤❤❤
I always knew the right house if I knew where the Christmas tree would go
So lovely to catch up on your news and see your lovely faces. Looking forward to seeing how you both settle into your new mode after the move. How exciting!
Congratulations on your move to Vermont! I love that you both use acrylic yarn to knit sweaters for the girls! I do the same thing for my grandchildren. I am on acrylic sweater number 5 for this year. Have fun in your new house! Love watching you two!
I think you found my dream home, too! 😂😂❤❤
That’s good news hope the old legacy video will come back then
I just made a Flax from Big Twist, it's a great yarn! Nice to see others using this!
A tour of the old house would be so great too and a good family memory too ❤
Congratulaions. I hoped to watch to see what your podcast is like but I've gotten 2 sets of ads in just 5 minutes. I'll wait to see what you're really like another time.
16 months ago, we moved from Massachusetts to Nebraska to be with our daughter and her family. I still feel giddy EVERY time we go to lunch. This is such an exciting time for you both. Congrats.
My daughter and family moved from 2000 miles away to 10 minutes away from me....the best thing ever!
So excited for you the move and the new home,.
And for your wondering who needs to sinks in one kitchen, Jewish people do. It is most likely that one of the previous owners was Jewish. Due to dietary restrictions Jews are not allowed to mix dairy and meat products this also counts for the utilities that are used therefore they use two different sets of tableware and sinks
Wow! So exciting and such a HUGE BLESSING! I am so happy for you all and look forward to watching all of this manifest into your continued dreams! Spirits are real! So glad they are friendly!!!!! ♥️🐑♥️🐑♥️
I am just bursting with excitement for you two!!
Yay!! So happy for you....both. Can't wait for the tour.
I love the sweaters and yes, acrylic gets a bad rap, but for some things you can't beat it. I LOVE the afghan!!
I know what you mean about a house finding you. I moved to a senior community 7 yrs ago and when I looked at my unit I said "This is where I want to live", and I have not been sorry for one minute.
Hello from Mounds, Illinois. I am getting ready to move to a new town after being in this area for forty five years.
Congratulations Sue! A happy ending in your house search. It sounds beautiful ❣️
I am just going to say this. Enjoy every bit of this process, no matter how overwhelming it seems. My husband and I were exactly where you are, even closer, two weeks from moving to another town, close to our son and grandchildren. My husband of 55 years was crossing a street and killed by a car going too fast. He was ten days in hospital before he died and then I had two weeks to move out, list the house, arrange the funeral, etc etc. Without my wonderful children and friends I never could have made it. You just never know what is coming at you. So enjoy this wonderful time in your life.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you.
😍
It’s great to see a new episode! Can’t wait to see the new house! Is the DK Mini club gone?
I went to visit a friend of mine and we were chatting in her morning room when a lamp suddenly clicked and went on. I thought it was on a timer, but nothing was plugged in to the cord..she was laughing at my puzzlement and said that happens all the time, random lights turn on and off and I can hear the click of the switches as they are flicked. She thought it was the old man that had owned the house and made the extension..and he didn’t mind them being there..she didn’t mind sharing. But the feel in the house was so lovely and occasionally the smell of gingerbread would fill the house.
The smiles on your faces are just amazing! So excited for you all!
So excited to see a podcast up! Happy that soon you’ll be together for them. When we were looking to move, my daughter and I would look at houses. The minute I stepped into our current house, I knew that we’d found the “right” house. When my husband walked into it later he felt the same way. The search was over:)
It is soooo nice to see you both. I love you both very much. You make my day better.
Loved this podcast. So much inspiration. Cannot wait until you are settled in Vermont, lucky you, and are podcasting on a regular basis again. Congratulations!!
Oh Sue, I am so happy you found your dream house! You are so inspiring me with your crochet blankets. I just bought a new bed set for our master, all white with a tiny tonal check, and I can so see a white Victorian Lattice Sqare blanket on the end of the bed. I was thinking of making a pale blue and white (bedroom colours) Battenberg Blanket, but this square would be so stunning in white! Best wishes on your move, and getting settled.
Thank you so much for still having advents!! I thought for sure I must have missed out but I’m in!! 🎉
And thank you for the statement about brioche! I have no desire to even try brioche when there’s half fisherman’s rib in the world! 😁
Enjoy this new season of life Sue! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Congratulations !!! A big plus for you both!!! Enjoy the ride!!
I'm so happy for you! It's very exciting. Best of luck with it all. ❤
Congratulations! Good to hear what your friends told you that the house will find you. I've decided I want to find a place closer to my family. I know where I want to move which is 35 miles from where I live now but the chance I'd see family more often increases by 100%. (It's the Cape Cod canal that is like a brick wall to my family.) So, good luck on the move. I hope you get all set up in a quick fashion and are able to enjoy some restorative time after the chaos of moving. ❤
Omg I am so excited for both of you!!! Your energy toward this new chapter of life is infectious. I can't wait to come along for the adventure through your podcast and Patreon. I am crossing my fingers that you bring back emergency snacks 😊 Wishing you the best move ! Thanks for sharing with us.
This was so lovely to watch! I’m currently living in a different country than my parents but we’re considering moving back to their town in a few years and this makes me so close to be close to my mum again 🥺
Lovely to see a video from you both pop into my feed. I’m so excited for you all, it’ll be lovely for you to both to be back close to each other 💕
Nice seeing you ladies together and that everything worked out for you Sue! A little sad that you are leaving Connecticut as I did love knowing you were only about 45 minutes away. 😂 Can’t wait to share your new journey with you ❤❤
Hi, I just met you. Will you adopt me? Very sweet video. Best wishes; can’t wait to see the new house. Lucky that it seems you don’t need to downsize. 😊
Wowsy wow, I'm so happy for you. Nooo way a graveyard on the other side of the road from your new home, how lovely is that ? I was thinking the whole broadcast, please pleeease show as a little sneak peak of the house. Anyhow, good luck💝🦋💝
Hihihi I was helping the son the last 2 min of your podcast. Wrote the first comment, rewind and there it was the little sneak peak of the house.😂😅😂
I'm so excited for you and so inspired by you!!! Congrats on this exciting new chapter, Sue!
So happy for all of you!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
P.s. to my previous comment.... the house we ended up moving into was built in 1901 and the sprits were much more friendly and inviting, so we're all good. Everyone's happy, haha!
So excited for the two of you!! I can't wait to see some behind the scenes of this next chapter 🙂
I had to pause the video. First of all congratulations for your upcoming move. I live outside of town and my neighbour has a turn of the century stone house with a small building beside it that in its day was the village community centre. Every time I go by I think what an ideal place for a cottage industry Best of luck and please share a video when you can would love to see
I LOVE how you are dreaming about the new house. I had a gut instinct about our house as well, I remember telling the realtor “this is our girl” 😂 And, I totally cried leaving our last house…nice hearing you say that…I thought I was a weirdo. Your transition process sounds exactly how I am! Happy nesting!
Sue, can you list the colorways you used for your Hocus Pocus afghan please. Thank you!
I haven’t finished the episode yet, but I am hoping there is a tour of this beautiful farmhouse. Congratulations!
I am new here, can you please give a link to the cardigan sweater you mentioned? Loved the video and looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I am so excited for you both! Congratulations on finding such a dreamy house. Thank you for taking the time to record this and updating us, so nice to catch up with you. I am wondering if you are planning to resume the Monthly DK Jelly Roll Club^
I love granny’s. So comforting to work. I’m doing 3” squares. A closed granny for a Battenberg blanket. Love it!
So excited for you guys! I’ve missed the two of you and can’t wait to see you together again. Looking forward to your shop being back up. I guess I better get back to my do mini skein blanket, so I’ll be ready when the mystery sets come back. Sue I hope you have a safe; smooth and easy move.
@legacyfiber.. I was just curious if you are going to post any of the needlepoint kits your Mom was showing on the Instagram video.
Just be careful with the Big Twist yarn. I bought some to make blankets for Project Linus and then read the label. No tumble dry.😮 lay flat only.
It really did take entirely too long for these people to be called out.
I always tell people after they’ve been over that the previous owner died in my condo. They shoot me a 😳 and I say did you feel any bad vibes? I mean you had to step over the threshold where she died, and they never say they can feel her spirit. Both my mom and I didn’t when I came to look at my place the first time either.
What is the name of that wash cloth that you that you are knitting
When we were looking for a house, there was one.... the agent had a really hard time getting the door open, then once we walked in it slammed shut behind us. (no biggie) but then as I was walking through the house I kept getting the weirdest feelings, especially in the kitchen and then bedroom....it really just made me just want to leave. I had never felt anything quite like it. Later that night the agent told us the previous owner had died in the house. WOAH. 😳🫣 I totally feel you on that experience!
