Then the dot actually disappears in the animation, so the gray tone underneath will have red and blue colors filtered out (because the cells are fatigued in that area) and all that's left to see is the green part of the gray color. Combined with the motion, this makes it look like a green dot revolving in a circle with no sign of the purple dots. This is why it all falls apart as soon as your eyes or your screen slightly move. The dots are now hitting other parts of the retina where cells aren't fatigued.

Like if you look at a light you can still see the light after you close your eyes so when you do this test if you just look at that point, the colors cancel each other out so its as if they vanished, if you loom at it from anpther angle you can see the purple and green dots.
So whatever is supposed to happen, will happen no matter where you look on the board. This is what's happening... Your brain is registering purple dots in a circle and a small black cross because that's what is being reflected back to you. Here's the cool part.... There are no other colors being added to the board at any time. One purple dot disappears for less then a second, and then that action moves to the next dot in clockwise sequence making it look like the disappearing dot is going around in a circle. Your brain sees this action going on and because it is so fast it will force your peripheral vision to try to still see the dot that's not there and because there is no purple to see, your brain attempts to detect the opposite of that color which is green. You can try it in different colors, the results will all be different from this. 😉👍

I see a bunch of pink dots with a Green Dot going around in circles period the Green Dot appears to be going from Pink Dot to pink. But if I stare long enough it looks like there's a bunch of green dots in between the pink dots but nothing disappears
