I've never seen the remake, but now that I've watched your review, I'm going to have to watch the original again because I suspect I'll see it in a different light. Thank you so much for sharing this review with us! Very enjoyable!
imagine the uncanny valley nightmare of waking up at a double feature .... .....of . . . . the rocky horror reboot (2016) and the plan nine reboot (2015). hell is not warm, but all you can watch reboots.
The thought that there was an actual remake just boggles the mind. What kind of a Ed Wood film is it when everyone knows what they are DOING?!! 🤣🤣 And the remake has Mr Lobo!!
I've often wished to have the power to remake this myself. Only I'd keep the reveal of the aliens for later in the movie. Just foreshadow them. Make people think it's your typical virus or supernatural zombie until the big climatic reveal. Ed had a good idea, just did it poorly by revealing too much too soon.
Using the newly dead as bodies for their invading soldiers. Outfitted armed and sent out to kill and make more dead. Somehow reanimated and trained to do the bidding of the aliens.
THIS is IT?! You know the original is not so bad after all.😮😅. The original I mean 😮, when watched Ed Wood 💭 💭 thought well, never gonna watch that!! The cringe scene were Bela Legosa is writhing around amidst the throbbing outreaching tentacles threatened to be consumed by the lake monster? is hoaky though lots of fun.( according to Ed Wood movie) don,t recall seeing it in the actual movie. Remember the flower tending to scene outside Bela,s house, genius classic him interjecting that scene unbeknowst to Bela. (by Ed Wood movie accounts.) Johnny Depp as Ed Wood was brilliant spot on, actor playing Mr.Legosa was indistinguishable for me ,now that I 🤔 🤔 think of it. Also think of that episode where they,re waiting to eat their chinese food, then go see 'Plan 9' then don,t go see it at end, not to mention never get to eat at all, enjoyable, classic Seinfeld episode, 😊. Think original N.O.T.L.D and this movie could be swapped together, would make both more fun . I actually enjoy it & acting doesn,t seem too terrible. 😮😅. Lol.
What an unlikable narrator. Like most, I didn't even know there was a remake. Wood's is still the best bad film (unless you count Francis' "The Beast of Yucca Flats") Wood's films were perfect for the 70s Midnight Movies. Some of the best comedies were his "The Violent Years" and "Jail Bait" (wink).
There was a remake?! God have mercy on our souls
I’ve often said, Night of the Living Dead was a remake of Plan 9 without the context.

I'd not even heard of a remake. And even though IMdB gave it a 4, it's so on my watchlist. 😄👍
I had no idea there was a remake of this. And one that looks descent. Thanks. ✌🙂
Reason for not knowing that there's a remake I guess it's went to DVD directly

Another company remade it with its original title Grave Robbers From Outer Space. It was never released. Not sure if filming was ever completed.

Can you prove it didn’t happen!?
@@MisterLobo Well, you were THERE! 😂
A remake would be guaranteed to be 20 times more entertaining that all the franchise reboots of the last 20 years!
it seems that this silly movie foretold that Hollywood would eventually be overtaken by the zombie genre.

Have you seen the 2003 Australian film, "Undead"?
Your comment made me think of the movie. It's pretty crazy and maybe you'd enjoy it 😉
How did they ever find someone with the riveting acting talent of Dudley Manlove?
The same company wants to or is doing the remake of Bride of the Monster
What?
There is a remake?
One of my favorite bad movies.
Plan 9 then Invisible Invaders then P9FOS.
I'm on Team 2015 of Plan 9
