@@2011hwalker utter nonsense. If you look at Slovakia or even Georgia, they don’t have the talent of England but know how to move and have patterns or play and organisation that make them more fluid as a team. You can clearly see in how England play, that he plays in the Man City formation, but doesn’t have a clue on how to coach or train the patterns of play, so England is constantly improvising making their play more disjointed. If you look at the media in Germany, Italy, Spain and France they all say Southgate is the worst coach in the tournament because it is inexplicable that England have no organisation and pattern of play when he has been coach for 8 years.

The vast majority of England players were playing for their national championships, cup finals , champions league etc. To describe a man who on Saturday will have coached 100 games for England as not having organisation is just silly. England have come up against sides whose styles have been a bit difficult to break down and are not as adventurous will allow for sexy football. England will win again. Cuz Jude does what Jude does & Gareth has stumbled upon his best format. 5-3-2 with Trent & Saka as wingbacks & Harry & Toney or Palmer up front with Foden as an impact sub.
Maths Profs are happy with Sir Gareth. They say in 1966, the 3 🦁 only played 2 good games (the semi & final). The other games were big battles & growing form game by game, built on a great defence & worldy goals by Sir Bobby C v/s Portugal.
Spot on by Big Sam A. 3 🦁 best with 3 CBs & 2 Wingbacks. Gotta start Trent at right wingback as per Gary Neville, Carra, Souness, Don Fabio & Don Carlo.
Maths Profs said last month that Sir Gareth is channelling the spirit of Sir Alf, who was also bashed a lot by pundits. But the fans built statues of him & put him in the hall of fame.
Is Toney or Palmer the new Sir Geoff?
Jude the new Sir Bobby C/Zidane hybrid?
    Harry the new Hunt?
    Foden the new Greaves?
    Kobbie the new Nobbie?
    Walker the new Wilson?
    Stones the new Sir Jack?
    Rice the new Alan Ball?
Trent the new Sir Bobby Moore?
    Saka the new Martin Peters?
Say prayers of gratitude. At 95.33 mins, the Brummie 🦁 Lion struck a righty bicycle beauty better than Zidanes UCL Cup winner.

When your team were losing 1-0 and struggling in the 2nd half why did you leave the substitutions so late? What was going through your mind in the 2nd half? His reply was, it might seem obvious to make several substitutions however he wanted to keep the same shape and he was conscious that by overstretching chasing an equaliser then you're more vulnerable to the sucker punch going 2-0 behind. Typical Southgate, when his teams are 1-0 behind his main focus is to stay in the game, he only prepared to take risks throwing caution to the win in the 87th minute.

I think England fans are too harsh with their team, as a french when I see how the media, and the people support the french team, I feel like there is not that type of energy with the England team, even though I feel like at least there is a try to produce something, watch all of the french team games in this euro.. we haven't even scored in the game !! I feel like Jude is finally that player that can make the difference in those big games, that type of player that England needed, that type of player that would have make the difference in the euro 2020 final

It's how we cope with being serial failures. We beat our national teams down with negative expectation, so that our own expectations are lowered. Then we have the added bonus of patting ourselves on the back when the inevitable failure happens; See, we were right! We told you we would fail! English fans are the real winners!

Southgate has not had the volume of game experience to be able to set a team up in the first place and to make changes as game is going on.

Southgate has got a template which for him he sees as being successful. Hence the Calvin Phillips comments. It's third rate, old school and he has no plan B.
He's sticking with his favourites out of loyalty and reputation in spite of the fact it's clearly not working.

A lot of our players have been poor and looked flatfooted and not showing fight and desire. How much of this comes down to the players or Southgate. I am not sticking up for Southgate, but the players have to shoulder some blame. One thing i have noticed is a very nervous team at times, especially when teams put the pressure on us, we are better than this, and they need to believe in themselves and play braver and hopefully they might click.🙏

I used to think that players could just go rouge and do what they feel and they simply cannot! They will be benched QuickTime! Managers are the most important part of a teams playing ability! That is why players who are ridiculously bad at one team become world beaters in another teams tactics! They are drilled to listen to the managers tactics from very young, some can be allowed to do a little of what they want under certain managers but you need to be a special type of player!

England playing like a bunch of 'schoolboys' in white especially in the first half.
They are very very lucky to equalise in the final minutes of the second half.
This luck will not persist in the Qtr finals if they continue to play this level of football.
However, I feel that the subs Palmer, Eze & Toney had make a big diff to the team's progress when they came in.
In fact, I believe Switzerland will beat England easily in the qtr finals having watch how pathetic the 'schoolboys' had played.
Seriously England team had no clue how to move the ball forward and kept the ball most of the time in their own half.
