    This is so awesome!!! My wife has furniture in our kitchen that totally indented the hardwood floors of our apartment and this did the trick! I'm going to buy some felt pads to put down to save myself the anxiety of a lost security deposit. Lol. Thanks man!! This was a life saver!

    Worked like a charm!! I had a few small dents caused by my bike's chain ring resting on the floor while I took the wheels off. I used a wet rag with a normal hair dryer for about 5 - 6 minutes. The floor's as good a new 👌

    If you do this on finished wood, will it require sanding and refinishing, because the water/heat makes the fibers stand up?

      I assume the 'like' mean 'yes'.
      If so, is it possible to sand and refinish only that particular spot, so that it merges with the existing finish?

    If the wood has a lacquer finish the water can not get in and is sitting just on the top. So the mechanism relies on the moisture which is naturally in the wood. Wetting the wood make only sense if it is not painted.

      Yes, thank you it did help a little bit but I do understand exactly what you’re saying

    Will this work on vinyl planks?

    • @YourReviewChannel
      @YourReviewChannel  Před měsícem +1

      No I don’t think it will. Vinyl is plastic if you add heat to it, it’ll just melt.

    Would this work on engineered hardwood?

    An iron (or eye-in) over a wet rag is way faster and effective. It's also a lot less likely to leave you with accidental burn marks in the wood. I'm not sure you used a good demo piece. I also highly doubt much water got into the fibers (or fabrics as you say) if the wood finish wasn't compromised. It was a genuine attempt but you should research more first or just make videos on something you know more about. I'm not trying to insult you in any way and maybe I'm wrong but I'm just giving feedback on experiences I've had.

      Thank you for your feedback. I tried the iron and wet rag as well yes I think it’s better as well. But also this method did work for me as well

      I stupidly put one of those plastic grip mats for an office chair down on floorboards and left a whole lot of tiny indentations. Do you think the iron over wet rag would be a practical fix for something like this?

      @@samboyaus oh my god I made the exact same mistake.
